Release Schedule

Every year, the public will see a new design on the obverse (heads side) of each First Amendment to the United States Constitution Platinum Proof Coin. The United States Mint will issue each coin in the order the freedoms are enumerated in the First Amendment.

The freedoms celebrated each year are:

• Freedom of Religion (2021)
• Freedom of Speech (2022)
• Freedom of the Press (2023)
• Freedom of Assembly (2024)
• Freedom to Petition the Government (2025)

Unifying Series Metaphor

The five-year series began in 2021 with freedom of religion, symbolized by a seedling. While each coin features a unique obverse design to symbolize each freedom, the designs are connected, weaving a meaningful story of the lifecycle of an oak tree from seedling to a mighty oak. This series design serves as a metaphor for our country’s growth as a Nation that values freedom.

Common Obverse

Each coin in the series features a common reverse (tails side) design showcasing an eagle in flight, an olive branch in its talons. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “$100,” “1 OZ.,” and “.9995 PLATINUM.”

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution Platinum Proof Coin series joins the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence Platinum Proof Coin series. Limited quantities with designs emblematic of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are still available.
