Cameron Brink CARRIED off court after screaming in pain with an apparent knee injury in WNBA Los Angeles Sparks game

LA Sparks rookie Cameron Brink has suffered a knee injury, the team said, as the fan favorite forward was carried off the court on Tuesday night.

Brink fell while trying to drive past Connecticut Sun center Brionna Jones, leaving her screaming in pain as captured on the game's NBA TV broadcast.

The rookie lost her footing while driving to the hoop as Jones played tight defense on her.

She was helped to her feet by her teammates and was able to hobble but shook her head as she exited the game to receive medical attention.

Brink appeared to have trouble putting weight on her leg and was helped to the locker room by trainers.

The Sparks later said on X that she would not return to the game.

She had zero points in four minutes at the time of her injury.

Brink's apparent injury comes less than two weeks after she was named to the USA's 3x3 women's basketball team for the Olympics.

The 22-year-old broke into tears as she learned she'd be representing the Stars and Stripes this summer.

Brink was named to the roster alongside Cierra Burdick, Rhyne Howard and Hailey Van Lith.

'I'm so grateful to be selected and it's an honor to represent the United States at the Paris Olympics this year,' she said, per The Associated Press.

The Olympics are set to start in just five weeks on July 26, meaning Brink could miss out on the tournament if her injury is serious.

The USA won the inaugural 3x3 title in the Tokyo Games with Allisha Gray, Stefanie Dolson, Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum.

The team will be coached by Connecticut Sun president Jennifer Rizzotti, while University of Rhode Island coach Tammi Reiss will assist.
