File:Parun.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Original file(2,464 × 1,632 pixels, file size: 879 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Summary

Description
US soldier pulls security for a medical civil action project in Parun district, Afghanistan
Date
Source http://www.arcent.army.mil/photos/2007/july/10-12.aspx
Author Sergeant Brandon Aird, US Army

It is not totally impossible that the "Parun" in the caption is an alternate spelling of "Parwan" as in the province. However, the pic looks a lot more like Nuristan (where "Parun" is) in terms of greenery/mountains.
