Kuravakudi is a in Madurai district Usilampatti Taluk in the India state of Tamil Nadu.

Kuravakudi Gram Panchayat is located in Chellambatti Panchayat Union Area in Madurai District of Tamil Nadu. This Panchayat belongs to Usilambatti Assembly Constituency and Theni Lok Sabha Constituency. This panchayat has a total of 7 panchayat constituencies. 7 Panchayat Council members are elected from these. As per 2011 India Census, the total population is 2865. Among them 1365 females and 1500 males.

Here is the famous Kuravakudi Sri Bhadrakali Amman and Ayyanar Temple. Kuravakudi Sri Bhadrakali Amman is very popular here and on full moon days it is crowded with people praying with lemon garland and archani. Bhadrakaliamman is usually seen in a seated position with a trident and a crown. Her eight arms hold some of her symbolic objects and weapons.

The daily pujas performed in all Hindu temples are also performed in this temple.Sankranti in the month of Tai, Thaipusam, Maha Shivratri in the month of Masi, Panguni Uthiram, birth in the month of Chitrai, Visakha in the month of Vaikasi, Amavasi in the month of Aadi, Vinayagar Chaturthi in the month of Avani, Navratri festival in the month of Puratasi, Diwali in the month of Aippasi, Diwali in the month of Karthikai, Tirupalli in the month of Margazhi. Special poojas are performed on days like Usurg.

In this temple, a special Panguni festival is held for seven days starting from the waxing Friday of the month of Panguni and ending on Thursday.
