How to apply to LMC. Welcome to Los Medanos College. I'm Xavier Travis and I'm going to share with you some helpful hints on how to successfully apply to LMC. The online application is the only way to apply to our college. In this video we're going to explain the steps on how to apply. The LMC website is a great resource for new and current students. Here you'll find links to information on College Admissions, Academic Programs, Student Resources, Campus Events, and even inspiring stories about successful students and alumni. Please select "Future Students" from the main menu. Here you'll find a hostess services available for new students, including assessment, enrollment workshops, and the online application. Please click on "Steps for new students" and click on "Apply now". Click on the "Create an account" link. To complete the online application you will need an e-mail address. If you don't have an e-mail account, please create an e-mail account before you begin the application. To begin the application, please click on the "Begin Creating an Account" button. This is the account creation page and there are three sections: Persona Information. In addition to your name and day of birth, the application will ask you for your social security number. The number is optional, so you do not have to provide it if you do not want to give it to the college. You must click the "Decline to give number" option. If you are applying for Financial Aid or you want Income Tax Credit, you must provide a Social Security number. Click on the "Continue" button. Contact Information: The next section asks for e-mail address, telephone, and e-mail address. Having an e-mail address is very important; the college will send you all the enrollment information via e-mail. Make sure your e-mail address is accurate. Once you complete the contact information, click the "Continue" button. Security Section: in this section you'll be creating a username and password. Your username must be at least 6 characters, including letters, numbers and special characters. You password must be 7 to 20 characters including letters, and at least one number. Please write down your username and password, for future reference. Once you complete the section, click on the "Create My Account" button. The Application: now that you created your account, you are ready to start the application. Review the helpful hints to complete the application, the click "Star My Application". There are 8 sections on the application, as you can see on the left navigation menu. The program will walk you through the process. Be sure to complete each and every section completely. For example, this section requires that you select the term you are applying, select the major, and select the educational goal. Click on the "Continue" button for the next section. Once you complete all the sections, please review your information. Once you review your information, you may submit the application. Hopefully you found this information useful to you. After you have successfully submitted your application, you will receive an e-mail message at the same e-mail address you provided when you did your application. This e-mail will give you the next steps and your Student ID number. This number is a unique number for you to use throughout the entire time here at LMC. History

The name, meaning "inland sand dunes" in Spanish, refers to the sand dunes that characterize its location in eastern Contra Costa County along the Sacramento River and in the foothills of Mt. Diablo.[2] Opened in 1974, the college is part of Contra Costa Community College District, along with Contra Costa College and Diablo Valley College. Enrolment was 6,845 students in Spring 2023.[3]

Academics

There were 25 associate degrees and 30 certificates of achievement available in the 2022–2023 academic year.[3]
