Turbomeca Turmo IV Test Run Fierce Helicopter Engine
Transcription
The whole team at Turbomeca is very proud. It’s a great day. Today I am pleased to announce that we are reentering this segment. It’s a segment that we created many years ago and it’s a segment we think we can compete in today and into the future. Turbomeca has been making helicopter history for 75 years, like Bell. And we had never, ever worked together. What’s also exciting, for the first time in our 75-year history, we’re going to combine with Turbomeca. Bell also chose Turbomeca for this new helicopter because it has seen that Turbomeca has come a long way and improved support quality over the past 5 years. So, for the first time in rotorcraft space, you’re going to take two industry leaders and join them together to drive tremendous value and performance for the customer. The Arrius 2R is the latest Arrius version. We have sold 3,000 Arrius engines, and they have logged 6 million hours in the air. And the Arrius 2R is the first FADEC-equipped Arrius. That will enhance flight safety. It is the only FADEC-equipped engine in its category. Now, we can say we have worked with every helicopter airframer worldwide.
