Velayat Rud (Persian: ولايترود)[a] is a village in Nesa Rural District, Asara District, Karaj County, Alborz province, Iran.

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,649 in 454 households, when it was in Tehran province.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,382 people in 458 households,[2] by which time the county had separated from the province and become a part of recently established Alborz province. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[5]
