The daily-case numbers of Covid-19 were studied and an oscillatory pattern in the numbers was identified. And this oscillatory nature has been present throughout the pandemic data. Although the US has had four waves of varying amplitude, the division of those waves into smaller units also indicate a repetitive, oscillatory pattern. The study of the smaller waves are important and they can be mathematically modelled using fitting techniques in order to accurately forecast daily cases over a short term. Further, the amplitudes of the prior waves {in a holistic sense (an aggregation of small waves)} can be examined to forecast a range for the amplitude of a future wave. As new data becomes available, it can be incorporated into the paradigm and be used to mutate the model to increase prediction accuracy {short term and long term}. During this time, political, social, and economic decisions can be made to curb any behavior indicative of potential spikes or anomalies {either through quarantine and restriction of human movement or by planning a protocol of an effective vaccination schedule}.

The safety problem in structural engineering can be treated more rationally with probabilistic methods. These methods provide basic tools for evaluating structural safety quantitatively. Uncertainties in loads, material properties, and construction practice, which have been traditionally dealt with by empirical safety factors, can be taken into account explicitly and consistently in probabilistic safety assessment. Based on such methods, this paper introduces a study conducted to develop reliability-based load factors and load combination suitable for use with common reinforced concrete structures in Jordan. The selection of a probabilistic methodology for performing the necessary reliability analysis and the collection and examination of statistical data on structural resistance and loads were involved. Abstract
In this invited lecture the biomechanical analysis of tactical tools utilized by top athletes in high level competition is presented.
In the first part, the lecture starts with a very short summary of the researches carried out on biomechanics, thermal exchange and metabolic energy expenditure related to judo throwing techniques.
These data elicit the division in more and less energetically expensive and in most and least efficient techniques in term of mechanical power applied.
Both these divisions are strictly connected to the biomechanical classification of throws in Lever and Couple.
All Judo throwing techniques: classic, innovative and chaotic are particular ways to gain some vantage by forces, in space or time, with some specific movements based on: the two physical principles underlying the throwing techniques (Lever and Couple), the athletes’ body shape and structure, the referee rules, the ways to transfer energy, and so on.
The whole biomechanics of throws is analyzed concisely, pointing out the classification and singling out the most important mechanical aspects
After this introduction of the most important current researches and tendency of technical-tactical actions, the analysis of tactical attacks and the biomechanics of tools utilized, is exploited.
Researchers in the world usually consider three tactical attack modalities of the adversary: direct attack, combination and action reaction attack.
Accordingly, in this lecture, some results obtained by different researchers in each of these modalities are compared.
In the second part it is developed the specific analysis of the technical-tactical support tools.
These tools allow to enhance the effectiveness of the athletes’ special throwing techniques (Tokui Waza), increasing the probability to obtain Ippon.
Besides these support tools, we consider also what coaches and athletes realize as so important: the so called “Technical Psychology”: the use of some specific technical actions or new throws to increase psychological pressure and astonishment in the adversary, in order to obtain Ippon.
Biomechanical analysis allows both the classification of throws that can be combined in effective way, and the definition of how combinations should be constructed by the three groups: Chica ma waza, Ma waza, and To ma waza.
Groups that contain the most utilized throwing techniques for combinations.
The three previous classification groups arise from the variation of inter-distance between athletes.
The last part of the lecture emphasizes, in short way, the physics and biomechanics connected to judo competition that is defined as: “an interacting complex nonlinear system, with chaotic and fractals aspect”.
This system must be analyzed studying the motion of “couple of athletes system” and evaluating their interaction (throws).
This conceptual simplicity highlights a very complex physical-mathematical approach.
The motion of athletes system should be analyzed by statistical Physics, whereas interaction (throws) should be analyzed by classical Newtonian Physics.
During the motion of Couple of Athletes System, human bodies show complex responses connected both to the human physiology and strong push-pull interactions.
Brownian tools are today the actual most sophisticated way of modeling motion in competition, starting from fractals till to multi-fractals aspects.
However not all is easy in the analysis of throwing techniques, from the physical point of view, except for the basic principles Couple and Lever.
If we study the specific mechanics of several throwing action in real competitions we can face some interesting physical aspects not totally well known, like: almost-plastic collision between extended bodies and for some Lever techniques we have to solve dynamical problem of bodies with variable mass that differs from the well known Classical Mechanics with constant mass.
In effect, in such a situation, the general methodological approach of mechanics must be properly modified; considering a deformable body with a finite extension, where special emphasis is given to the variable rotational inertia during throw, with interesting consequences about balance, linear and rotational momentum and motion of center-of-mass.
In this lecture all tools, both well known at coaching like level and new proposals as well, are classified and organized in scientific way, stressing the biomechanical principles that rule their application in high level competitions and assessing these basic tools to enhance effectiveness.
The clarification and understanding of the inner mechanics of these tools  is a powerful help for coaching to teach competition tactics in useful way.

Flupyradifurone (FPF, Sivanto®) is a new butenolide insecticide that, like the neonicotinoids, is a systemic nicotinic acetylcholine agonist (nAChR). However, FPF is considered bee-safe (according to standard Risk Assessment tests), and thus a potential solution to the adverse effects of other pesticides on beneficial insects. To date, no studies have examined the impact of nutritional stress (decreased food diversity and quality) and FPF exposure on bee health although both stressors can occur, especially around agricultural monocultures. We therefore tested the effects of a field-realistic FPF concentration (4 ppm, FPFdaily dose = 241 ± 4 ng/bee/day, 1/12 of LD50) and nutritional stress (nectar with low-sugar concentrations) on honey bee (Apis mellifera L.) mortality, food consumption, thermoregulation, flight success (unsuccessful vs. successful), and flight ability (duration, distance, velocity). Flight and thermoregulation are critical to colony health: bees fly to collect food and reproduce, and they thermoregulate to increase flight efficiency and to rear brood. We studied the effects across seasons because seasonality can influence bee sensitivity to environmental stress. We demonstrate that, depending upon season and nutritional stress, FPF can reduce bee survival (-14%), food consumption (-14%), thermoregulation (-4%, i.e. hypothermia), flight success (-19%), and increase flight velocity (+13%). Because pesticide exposure and nutritional stress can co-occur, we suggest that future studies and pesticide risk assessments consider both seasonality and nutritional stress when evaluating pesticide safety for bees.

Many educational systems consider using one-to-one access to the laptop as a way to improve teaching and learning. A two-year action research project on the use of laptop computers by New Brunswick (Canada) grade 7 and 8 Francophone students aimed to better understand the impact of laptops on learning. Two problem-based learning (PBL) interdisciplinary scenarios (math, science, language arts) were implemented in eight experimental classes to measure and document students' actual learning process, particularly in terms of their ability to scientifically investigate authentic problems, to reason mathematically, and to communicate. On-site observations, video-recording, journals, samples of students' work, and interviews were used to collect qualitative data. Based on our findings, we argue that laptops in and of themselves may not automatically lead to better results on standardized tests, but rather create opportunities to enrich learning with more open-ended, constructive, collaborative, reflective, and cognitively complex learning tasks.

Without this capability, investors will suffer losses due to their ignorance regarding stock trends and market conditions. Technical analysis helps to understand stock prices behavior with regards to past trends, the signals given by indicators and the major turning points of the market price. This paper reviews the stock trend predictions with a combination of the effective multi technical indicator strategy to increase investment performance by taking into account the global performance and the proposed combination of effective multi technical indicator strategy model.

A variety of goods and services in the contemporary world requires evolutionary improvement of services e-commerce platform performance and optimization of costs. Contemporary society is deeply integrated with delivery services, purchasing of goods and services online, that makes competition between service and good providers a key selection factor for end-user.. As long as logistic, timely, and cost-effective delivery plays important part authors decided to analyse possible ways of improvements in the current field, especially for regions distantly located from popular distribution canters and drop-ship delivery networks. Considering both: fast and lazy delivery the factor of costs is playing an important role for each end-user. The work proposes a simulation that analyses the current cost of delivery for e-commerce orders in the context of delivery by the Supplier Fleet, WorldWide delivery service fleet, and possible vendor drop-ship and checks of the alternative ways can be used to minimize the costs. Special attention is given to Drop-Ship networks as the factor of possible costs decrease. The main object of investigation is focused around mid and small companies living far from big distribution canters, in the rural areas but actively using e-commerce solutions for their daily activities. The authors analysed and proposed a solution for the problem of cost optimization for packages delivery for long-distance deliveries using a combination of paths delivered by supplier fleets, worldwide, local carriers and drop-ship networks. Data models and Add-ons of contemporary Enterprise Resource Planning systems have been used, and additional development is proposed in the perspective of the flow selection change for combination of carriers. The experiment is based on data sources of the United States companies using a wide range of carriers for delivery services and uses the data sources of the real companies; however, it applies repetitive simulations to analyse variances in obtained solutions for different combinations of carriers.

Propolis samples were collected during spring and summer seasons (2010 and 2011). Bacterial and yeast strains; standard bacterial strain represented by E. coli ATCC 25922 and S. typhi TY21, while the local bacterial isolates represented by S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, S. pyogenes, L. monocytogenes, H. pylori, E.aerugenes, S. typhi, K. pneumoniae, and C. albicans. Antimicrobial activities of crude ethanolic extract of Al-Museiab propolis (EEMP) against bacterial and yeast isolates evaluated. Results revealed that S. aureus was higher sensitive to 10% concentration of EEMP than other Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, while standard E. coli strain was highly sensitive to EEMP than other Gram negative bacteria. EEP was not effective against C. albicans. The results of Amoxicillin–propolis combination on the bacterial isolates were; synergistic to words P. aeruginosa, H. pylori, E. coli and K. pneumoniae, while the results of clindamycin-propolis combination on the bacterial isolates were; synergistic to words P. aeruginosa, H. pylori, K. pneumonia, and E. aerugenes. The results of Rifampin-propolis combination on the bacterial isolates were; synergistic to words on P. aeruginosa, E. coli, K. pneumoniae, S. pyogenes, and E. aerugenes. Last but not least, the effect of Nistatin and propolis combination against C. albicans isolates indicated for additive effect.

Статья посвящена символическому моделированию общественно-политических процессов в России (прежде всего на основе государственной символики – флага, герба, гимна, президента) в период с 1985 по 2008 гг. Выделяя символические элементы модели, символизирующие опыт Российской империи, опыт СССР и опыт института президентства, автор рассматривает интегральные произведения этих символов как варианты символического моделирования в России, с учетом иерархии элементов. Трансформация «имперско-советско-президентской» символической модели в России исследуется им в контексте включения России в глобальный капиталистический символический обмен и влияет на мировое общественно-политическое развитие.

Los efectos sociales de la materialización de la Carta de Atenas (1933) durante la
posguerra fueron cuestionados por la siguiente generación de arquitectos, planteando
conceptos como asociación, movilidad, identidad o crecimiento, distanciándose
de la recurrente sectorización funcional. Esa crítica generó en Francia experimentos
alternativos al bloque lineal y la torre con los que se habían reconstruido las ciudades
durante los Treinta Gloriosos años. Este artículo analiza conjuntamente tres complejos
construidos por Jean Renaudie para la renovación urbana del barrio parisino
de Ivry-sur Seine —Danielle Casanova (1970-1972), Jeanne Hachette (1970-1975)
y Jean-Baptiste-Clément (1973-1975)–. El análisis de la hibridación programática
llevada a cabo con la combinación de una gran diversidad tipológica de viviendas
junto a equipamientos culturales, educativos y comerciales se identificará con un
pensamiento arquitectónico jalonado de influencias multidisciplinares, derivadas del
paisaje cultural de Mayo del 68. El concepto político y filosófico de cohesión social,
complementado con el deseo de traducir arquitectónicamente el orden biológico
de la naturaleza, permitirá comprender su desafío teórico. Las ideas de propuestas
utópicas previas, reelaboradas en proyectos posteriores, situarán aquella arquitectura
en el punto de inflexión de una trayectoria que legitimaba la complejidad frente a
cualquier tipo de homogeneidad.



The social effects of the Athens Charter’s materialization (1933) during the post-war
period were questioned by the next generation of architects, proposing concepts
such as association, mobility, identity or growth, distancing from the recurring
functional sectorization. In France, this criticism generated alternative experiments
to the linear block and the tower, with which cities had been rebuilt during the
Thirty Glorious years. This article jointly analyzes three complexes built by Jean
Renaudie for the urban renewal of Ivry-sur-Seine’s Parisian neighborhood –Danielle
Casanova (1970-1972), Jeanne Hachette (1970-1975) and Jean-Baptiste-Clément
(1973-1975)—. The analysis of the programmatic hybridization carried out through
the combination of a great typological diversity of dwellings together with cultural,
educational and commercial facilities will be identified with an architectural thought
punctuated by multidisciplinary influences, derived from the cultural landscape of
May ’68. The political and philosophical concept of social cohesion, complemented
by the desire to translate the biological order of nature architecturally, will allow
us to understand its theoretical challenge. The construction of ideas in previous
utopian proposals, reworked in subsequent projects, will place that architecture
at the turning point of a trajectory that legitimized complexity against any type of
homogeneity.

Обосновывается методика создания символических моделей общественного развития на основе математической комбинаторики, обращения к теории эволюции, отбору вариантов. Выбор ограниченного числа доминантных и недоминантных символических элементов в интегральных символических моделях различных концепций развития общества позволяет математически подсчитать и представить возможные варианты символических моделей. Также предлагаются вопросы
и проекты для изучения символов.
This article focuses on the methods for creating symbolic models of the social development on thebasis of mathematical combinations theory, evolutionary theory and variants selection. The choice of
the limited number of dominant and non-dominant symbolic elements in the integrated symbolic models of various social development conceptions allows mathematically calculating and delivering different variants of the symbolic models. There are also some questions and projects for symbols studying.

En el aprendizaje de las matematicas se suelen observar problemas debido a que los conceptos involucrados resultan a menudo complejos por su alto nivel de abstraccion. Se han detectado problemas en el aprendizaje de los conceptos asociados al tema de conteo. Dos conceptos basicos de conteo son la ordenacion y la combinacion. En este trabajo se disena y analiza una propuesta didactica para el aprendizaje de las ordenaciones y combinaciones apoyada en la teoria APOE. Se presenta dicho analisis y los resultados obtenidos a partir del trabajo de los estudiantes con la propuesta realizada.

In this paper, a semantic classification for Persian adjectival preverbs based on Conceptual Metaphor Theory is presented: adjectival preverbs that demonstrate metaphorical shift and adjectival preverbs which lack metaphorical shift. The metaphors involved in the first subclass of adjectival preverbs are motivated by a certain type of conceptual metonymy known as “Effect for Cause”. The second subclass covers preverbs whose combinations with the light verb does not show any metaphorical shift. Having detected two mentioned cognitive processes in the formation of the semantics of the complex predicates containing the first subclass of preverbs, the compositional nature of the semantics of the predicates was realized and two new meanings for “kærdæn” (to do) as a light verb in Persian complex predicates were proposed: to become and to make oneself. Another finding of this paper is the introduction of “/pejda kærd/” as the first two-word light verb of Persian.

At the initial stage of language learning, when all the attention is focused on the use of phrases for communication, a particular approach is needed in order to solve one problem: what dosage of theoretical material of grammar is recommended for learners to be provided with? The issue can't be resolved unilaterally without considering various circumstances. It's necessary to take into consideration subjective and objective circumstances. Namely, the category of language learner (level of language knowledge, duration of learning process…) and motivation to learn the language. In all cases we believe that the initial stage should be directed towards strengthening the competence of communication, more specifically, grammatical material should be provided with the dose required for practical communication. This can be reflected by ready-to-use communicational phrases, exercises, schemes… One of the difficult problems that affect the language teaching process for non-Georgian speakers is the fact of understanding and realizing various forms of the Georgian verb, especially the ones that show person relation, person combinations, etc. and using them in communication. As a result of polypersonalism of the Georgian verb, it's difficult for a non-Georgian speaker who is used to using a completely different system of language to perceive grammatical persons indicated in the Georgian verb, to use them in the form of verbal expressions and to express their thoughts in the right way. For example, the language learner may say: "Tsigni megobartan gaugzavnet, tu sheidzleba!" instead of the proposal: "tsigni megobars gaugzavnet, tu sheidzleba!" (send the book to a friend). In this sentence the person relation is expressed by the word with-tan suffix, which is characteristic to languages having different systems (Turkish, English…). What method should we use in order to make the beginner language learner better understand verb person relation? We think that the verbs that are related to persons should be selected by means of active forms, necessary for simple communication, such as: gaketeba (to make) (vuketeb (I am making it to him/her)miketebs (He is making it to me)…), darekva (to call) (girekav (I'm calling you)-mirekav (you're calling me)…). Futhermore, we can introduce the verbs of expressing hitherthither orientation: mitsera-motsera (write to himwrite back to me) (vtsermtsers...) (I write to himhe writes back), mitsema-motsema (give itgive it back) (vadzlevmadzlevs...) (I give it to himhe gives it back)... as well as: "speech of circle" velaparakebimelaparakeba (I talk to him he talks to me), veubnebimeubneba (I say it to himhe says it to me)... with auxuliary verbs mikvarkhar (I love you), vukvarvar (He loves me)... These verbs should only be provided to the learner at the present time, by means of phrases. After studying the main tenses of the verb, we can introduce the table of verb person combination of active usage, including three basic tenses. Thus, according to levels of language knowledge in language learning process, we provide learners with verbal and non-verbal means of the scheme of person combinations at first, thenready-to-use phrases easy to perceive and memorize and later, at the last stage of the study, according to verb groups, we move to a systematic study, which involves studying different types of verbs expressing person relation by means of tables.

We investigate the use of elastic hierarchies for representing trees, where a single graphical depiction uses a hybrid mixture, or" interleaving", of more basic forms at different nodes of the tree. In particular, we explore combinations of node link and treemap forms, to combine the space efficiency of treemaps with the structural clarity of node link diagrams. Despite of many conjectures and partial results on three colorable planar graphs nal clue has not yet been discovered. Steinberg's three coloring conjecture which asserts that all planar graphs without four and ve cycles are 3-colorable is the strongest among the known similar conjectures. The author's algorithmic proof of Steinberg's conjecture based on the spiral chain coloring algorithm would not lead to a breakthrough either. The reason is that there are many planar graphs with four and ve cycles with chromatic number three (see Fig.1). Similarly another result by Grünbaum-Aksenov is that every planar graph with at most three triangles is 3-colorable extended by recent result of Borodin et.al., that there are innitely many planar 4-critical graphs with exactly four triangles. In this paper we have given a general construction of planar 3-colorable and 4-critical K4-free graphs by using a class of strong quasi edges (gadgets) Hi(u, v), where c(u) = c(v), (uv) / ∈ E(Hi(u, v)) and improper quasi edges Hi(u, v), where c(u) = c(v),(uv) / ∈ E(Hi(u, v)) for all 3colorings of G. We have also use quasi triangle Hi(u, v, w) with c(u) = c(v) = c(w) and improper quasi triangle Hi(u, v, w) with c(u) = c(v) = c(w) for all 3-colorings of G. We dene also a weak quasi edge Hi(u, v) (respectively weak quasi triangle Hi(u, v, w)) as exactly two 3-colorings with c(u) = c(v) (respectively with c(u) = c(v) = c(w)) and c(u) = c(v) (respectively c(u) = c(v) = c(w)) for all(uv) / ∈ E(Hi(u, v)) (resp.

During a survey of the freshwater littoral diatom flora from lakes and ponds in the region of Petuniabukta on Spitsbergen (Svalbard Archipelago, High Arctic region), a new Achnanthidium species, A. petuniabuktianum sp. nov., has been recorded. Achnanthidium petuniabuktianum is a new representative of the A. pyrenaicum group as evidenced by its curved distal raphe fissures. The present paper describes in detail the morphology of A. petuniabuktianum based on light and scanning electron microscopy. The new taxon is characterized in having linear valves with parallel margins and broadly rounded, never protracted apices and a characteristic—in light microscopy hardly discernible—striation pattern consisting of very short striae composed of one or two small, always slit-like areolae. Based on current results, Achnanthidium petuniabuktianum is a benthic taxon occurring in epilithic and epiphytic habitats in the littoral zones of freshwater lakes and ponds.
