Critic

Uma das partes mais importantes de uma pesquisa é o seu amparo teórico e metodológico. No que se refere ao âmbito da ciência geográfica há uma gama considerável de correntes, metodologias e parâmetros conceituais, e, com base nesta diversidade os campos de estudos da Geografia, principalmente as inclinações humana e física, buscam aplicar e desenvolver suas bases de fundamentação. Neste artigo, apresentam-se os procedimentos metodológicos de uma pesquisa de mestrado, na área de concentração da história do pensamento geográfico e das ideologias espaciais, defendida em dezembro de 2013, intitulada “Do Ufanismo Edênico ao Saudosismo Heroico: ideologia e discurso geográfico no ideário nacional brasileiro”. Desta maneira, o texto apresenta a tríade do método de pesquisa, a saber: o Discurso, a Crítica e a Retórica Geográfica. Procura-se assim compartilhar o escopo metodológico desta pesquisa, ao mesmo tempo em que se propõe um debate acerca destas bases teóricas em relação à Geografia.

Abstract: One of the most important parts of your research it’s your theoretical and methodological support. As regards the scope of geographical science, there is a considerable amount of current methodologies and conceptual directives, and, based on this diverse field of study of Geography, and particularly your human and physical inclinations, seek to apply and develop their thought bases. This paper presents the methodological procedures of a Master thesis in the concentration area of the history of geographical thought and spatial ideologies, presented in December 2013, with the title "From the Edenic Jingoism to Heroic Longing: ideology and geographical discourse in Brazilian national ideals”. Therefore the article presents a triad of research method: the Discourse, the Critic and the Geographical Rhetoric. Hence, looking up to share the methodological scope of this research, at the same time that proposing a discussion about these theoretical foundations in relation with the Geography.

Este texto busca explorar el carácter cosmopolita de la crítica de autores ecuatorianos en la obra ensayística de Michael Handelsman. La revalorización de la literatura ecuatoriana, desde una mirada crítica, liberadora y universal, es uno de los aportes fundamentales del crítico norteamericano.

Tourism, the smokeless industry, has increasing importance in the development of countries because it creates added-value and employment. In Turkey, one of the World's most visited countries, the importance of this sector makes itself felt in economic crisis periods. On the other hand, in terms of investors, tourism companies always have the potential to be included in their portfolios. In this context, the aim of this study evaluates the financial performances of tourism companies publicly traded in BIST. For this purpose, the data of 2014-2018 were obtained from the Thomson Reuters Datastream database. The current ratio, quick ratio, cash ratio, debt ratio, total debt/equity ratio, net margin, return on equity, interest coverage ratio, total asset turnover, inventory turnover, and receivable turnover were used as financial ratios. The CRITIC method, one of the objective weighting methods, was applied to determine the importance level of financial ratios. A hybrid model consisting of MAUT, PROMETHEE and TOPSIS was used for evaluation of the companies. These techniques are based on different perspectives and algorithms. In this model, Borda was applied for aggregation of each techniques' ranking values. Thus, the financial performance of the tourism companies for the years 2014-2018 was evaluated more effectively. In conclusion, the company with the best financial performance is Marmaris Altınyunus (MAALT) in this period.
