Die Psychomachia des Prudentius stellt das erste vollkommen allegorische Epos des Abendlandes dar. Es ist insbesondere in der Kunst und Literatur des Mittelalters vielfältig rezipiert worden. Magnus Frisch legt nun erstmals einen Gesamtkommentar zu diesem Werk aus der Spätantike vor, der lange ein Desiderat der Forschung war. Er berücksichtigt die Erkenntnisse der philologischen, theologischen und mediävistischen Forschung der letzten Jahrzehnte.

There is carried out the typological analysis of the basic motive in the song about Deli Domrul (" Book of Dede Korkut " , a fight against an angel of death) and revealed analogies between this motive, Sumerian-Acadian and Greek mythologies, Jewish and Islamic legends in the given article. The special attention is given to the number of east prototypes, archetypes and transformations of this motive. Based on the investigated materials the continuity of these motives and degree of influence of previously mentioned prototypes to the song about Deli Domrul is determined.

Xülasə Məqalədə Azərbaycan xalq dastanlarında dini-mifoloji motivlər araşdırılmışdır. Tədqiqat əsasən "Əsli və Kərəm", "Abbas və Gülgəz" və "Qurbani" dastanları üzərində aparılmışdır. Qədim tarixə malik Azərbaycan dastanlarında kifayət qədər dini-mifoloji motivlərə rast gəlinir. Mifik inanclar daha qədim tarixə və ənənəyə malik olsa da, dini görüşlər islam dininin Azərbaycan ərazisində yayılmasından sonra dastanlarda öz əksini tapmışdır. Türk mifoloji düşüncəsi ilə islam inanclarının yaxınlığı dastanlarda özünü daha qabarıq şəkildə göstərmişdir. Dini-mifoloji motivlər həm obrazlarda, həm süjet xəttində, həm də müəyyən hadisələrə xalqın münasibətində öz əksini tapmışdır.

L’analisi del penultimo canto dell’Orlando furioso di Ludovico Ariosto rivela una forma peculiare (e probabilmente unica nel poema) della costruzione dell’intreccio. Indagarne il funzionamento permette di riflettere sull’interazione degli elementi in gioco e di cogliere, al di là della dicotomia tra epos e romanzo, i particolari effetti suscitati nel lettore.

ЖУРНАЛ ТАРТАРИЯ МАГНА

Концепт Tartaria Magna, никогда не имевший эквивалентов в восточной географии, использовался в европейской науке с эпохи Ренессанса для обозначения обширных, малонаселенных, малоизученных и потому казавшихся враждебными территорий, границы которых были весьма условными. На карте Ортелия второй половины XVI века Великая Тартария простирается от низовий Волги и Прикаспия до океана, позднее получившего имя Тихого, ограничиваясь с севера Oceanus Scythicus или Mare Glaciale, а с юга горами Кавказскими и Китаем. В дальнейшем эти границы расширились и получили некоторую детализацию, включив в себя Московское царство, Среднюю Азию, Тибет и Монголию. Позднее иезуиты посчитали правильным присовокупить к Тартарии и земли маньчжуров. В глазах европейских хронистов и картографов Tartaria Magna никогда не была единым целым, хотя в разное время с ней связывались и империя монголов, и Золотая Орда, и Цинская империя и обширное царство Романовых. И все же Grand Tartarie всегда оставалась понятием собирательным. Мы также не склонны видеть в Великой Тартарии четко очерченный географический регион или, вслед за новыми хронологами, конкретное историко-политическое целое. Tartaria Magna в имени нашего журнала это скорее исследовательское поле, одновременно дающее представление о нестрогих географических границах изыскательского интереса, совпадающих с формулировкой, появившейся в Британской энциклопедии в 1771 году, и подчеркивающее идею об этом евразийском хартленде как о все еще неизвестном и непонятом регионе мира. По мысли создателей, журнал объединит на своих страницах историков, культурологов и антропологов самых разных научных школ и направлений. Журнал выходит на русском языке, и одна из его основных миссий представить русскоязычному читателю результаты изысканий международных исследователей в русских переводах.

Da tempo le antologie latine Lyra ed Epos sono considerate di fondamentale importanza per lo studio della poesia, della poetica e della cultura di Pascoli. Ma non solo: sempre più se ne apprezza il valore intrinseco, l’originale prospettiva aperta sui classici. Questo libro si concentra su Epos, e in particolare sul suo ampio commento all’Eneide: via d’accesso alla poesia e al pensiero di Pascoli, e insieme specchio del ‘suo’ Virgilio. Come alcune figure dell’immaginario pascoliano nascono dallo stretto dialogo con l’Eneide, così l’esegesi si fa trasmissione e trasfigurazione della parola epica, in un’«era», quella di Pascoli e nostra, in cui alle favole antiche è subentrata la luce radente della scienza, all’epos le forme desublimanti del romanzo.

In genre theory, epic, dramatic and lyric poetry are often defined in terms of the past, present or future. This association of genres and time tenses is, howewer, far from being self-evident: The idea is widely unknown before 1800. Following recent studies on time and genre, my article traces this ›time criterion‹ back from Emil Staiger to its origins in the mid-18th century and into the German and French Enlightenment's discourses on Poetry.

Öz " Köroğlu " destanındaki kadın tipleri, XVII. yy. Türk kadını, onun düşünme tarzı, ahlakı, aile ve toplum içinde yeri ve görevi hakkında bilgi edinmekte büyük önem arz etmektedir. Destanın sekiz kolu kadınlarla ilgilidir, bu kollarda destanın baş kahramanı Köroğlu veya delileri aracılığıyla kadınların zorlukları aşarak kendi istekleri üzerine Çamlıbel'e getirilmesinden bahsedilmektedir. Destanda dikkat merkezinde olan kadın tipleri genellikle yüksek sınıfın kızları olmalarına rağmen (Nigar, Telli, Hürü, Mahbub, Şirin vd.) çok sadedirler; zengin kızı olmaları ile övünen insanlar değillerdir. Bu kadınlar, Çamlıbel'e yerleşen Köroğlu ve delilerinin haksızlık uğruna mücadele ettiklerini duyarlar ve farklı yollarla Köroğlu'na haber göndererek gelip onları da Çamlıbel'e götürmesini taleb ederler. Çamlıbel'de herkesin eşit olduğunu, ayrımcılık yapılmadığını duyan kadınlar, bir an önce onları yöneten, özgürlüklerini ve haklarını ellerinden alan baba ve abilerinden kurtulmanın peşindedirler. Çalışmada kadın tipler açısından anlatılar değerlendirilmiştir. " Köroğlu " destanının kollarındaki kadın tipleri ile ilgili çalışmada, kadın kahramanlar ve üstlendikleri roller incelenmiştir. Türk kahramanlık destanlarındaki kadın tipleri hakkında kısa bir bilgi verildikten sonra " Köroğlu " destanındaki kadın tipleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Daha sonra kollardaki kadınların özellikleri tespit edilmiştir.

The epic "Koroglu" provides us with very valuable information about the Turkish female characters of the XVII century, mentality of those women, their morality, place, position in the family and society, etc. The eight chapters-branches of the epos were dedicated to the female, the histories of the women who overcome all obstacles with the help of the main hero of the epic Koroglu and his friends and then voluntarily arrived in Chenlibel.
The epic was focused on the women belonging to the high sosiety (Nigar, Tellı, Huru, Mehbub, Shirin, etc) but despite of that fact all of them were very simple, they were not proud of their origin. When those women learn that Koroglu and his friends were conducting a fair struggle against injustice, they send Koroglu messages to take them to Chenlibel. The women knew that everyone was equal in Chenlibel and there was no
oppression, but in real life they lived with their fathers and older brothers who controled them, limited their rights and freedom. In order to escape from despotism they were eager to come to Chenlibel.

During my fieldwork in the Altai Mountains of Mongolia, I encountered a particularly rare dance song with the title " Doldoi zeerd biyelgee " (Dance of the fiery chestnut horse). This song can only be heard in a very small area and is performed by only a few old people belonging to the Zakhchin, a subgroup of the Oirat ethnic group. The versions of the text I recorded differ considerably from the usual song texts of the dance genre in question. While the motifs of the latter include, above all, scenes from the daily life of the herders, the " Doldoi zeerd biyelgee " – in the versions I got access to – does not only differ in that it is more similar to epics, but its text also has a mythical epic character. The latter is of particular interest as epics, in contrast to dance songs, belong to the ritual genre. Apart from characterising the same heroic figure that also features in the Jangar Epic, the recorded texts describe his special everyday life as a leader of a people as well as the battles he fought together with his soldiers. As can be gathered from the song title, considerable room is also given to his favourite horse. Not only the literary similarity of the recorded parts of the text to the Jangar Epic is of interest, but also particular details of events that cannot be traced back to the Oirat areas of settlement. The comparison with other examples of the same genre suggests that this dance song is older and that its motifs are more widespread. The origin of this dance song seems to go back to the Jangar Epic, which was widely disseminated from Asia to Europe.

Destanlar, her toplumun tarihte yaşadığı veya yaşaması muhtemel olaylardan ilham alan, çoğu zaman başarı öyküleri gibi görünse bile toplumların başından geçen en acı olayları, ihanetleri ve buhranları da etkili bir biçimde gelecek kuşaklara aktaran, bu sayede yaratıldıkları toplumların milli şuur, ideal ve kimlikleri hakkında önemli bilgiler yansıtan değerli kaynaklardır. Bireysel bütünlüğün, aile bütünlüğünün ve en nihayetinde toplumsal bütünlüğün sağlanmaya çalışıldığı destanlar, toplumların kültürel birikimleriyle nasıl inşa olduklarını açık bir şekilde bize sunmaktadır.
Pek çok destana sahip olan Türk boyları arasında, destancılık geleneği hâlâ canlı bir şekilde yaşamakta olan Kırgızların ayrı bir yeri bulunmaktadır. Kırgızların destan geleneği içerisinde, kaynağı Arap ve Fars edebiyatına dayanan aşk, kahramanlık ve dinî konulu eserlere rastlamaktayız. Bu bağlamda dikkat çeken “Kız Darıyka” destanı önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Kırgızların destancılık geleneğinin son dönemlerinde yaratılmış olmakla birlikte milli destanlarından biri haline gelmiş olan Kız Darıyka destanı, olay örgüsü bakımından Kırgızların epik eserlerinde karşımıza çıkan tipik motifleri içermektedir. Bununla birlikte Türk epik destan geleneğinden farklı olarak yer yer Arap ve Fars edebiyatı kaynaklı
motiflere de destanda rastlanmaktadır.
Bu çalışmada, “Kız Darıyka” destanından hareketle öncelikle kadın kahraman tipi incelenecek, ardından “sevgili-eş tipi”, “anne tipi”, “yardımcı kadın tipi” başlıkları altında kadın tiplerin destanda ne şekilde sunulduğu ortaya konulacaktır. Böylece, “Kız Darıyka” destanı örneği üzerinden, genel olarak Türk destanlarında ve milli kültüründe, özel olarak ise Kırgız milli kültüründe ve Kırgız destanlarında kahramanlıkların, kahramanlık algısının ve kadın algısının nasıl yansıtıldığı konusu irdelenecektir.

Özet Kazak bilim adamı Muhtar Avezov'un. Manas Destanını de÷erlendiren makaleleri, Kazak edebiyat biliminde, bu destanla ilgili öncü çalıúmalardan olması sebebiyle önemlidir. Ayrıca, Avezov, 1952 yılında Biúkek (o zamanki adı Frunze)'de toplanan konferansta, Manas Destanının önemini vurgulamıú ve ileri sürdü÷ü fikirleriyle, Manas Destanının gelece÷i üzerinde etkili olmuú bilim adamlarındandır. Bu konferanstan sonra, Manas Destanı birtakım müdahalelerle de olsa yayımlanabilmiútir. Anahtar kelimeler: Muhtar Avezov, Manas, Kırgız halk edebiyatı. Abstract Muhtar Avezov, a Kazakh Scientist has written out articles on the Epos of Manas, of vital importance in Kazakh science of literature and also regarded as the leading studies on the epos. Furthermore, during the conference held in Bishkek (known as Frunze at that time) in 1952, Avezov laid emphasis on the importance of the epos, and therefore became one of the leading scientists influencing the future of the epos. After the conference, the epos of Manas could be published despite some interference.

The article is an attempt at interpreting Józef Wittlin’s "Salt of the Earth" in the context of the epic story’s historical semantics, and the novel investigated not as much as regards their formal construction but the original connections with the different cultural formations  which,  as  superior  “macrostructures”,  define  the  conditions  of  the  authentic 
functioning of those artistic forms. In his analyses, the author refers to Hegel’s aesthetic  views  and  Lukács’  "Theory  of  the  Novel".  He  asserts  that  Wittlin’s  novel  is  of  internally  antinomic and intentionally equivocal structure: it is set between an attempt at reviving the epic story as a form that corresponds to “closed culture” and a need to be a novel form peculiar to culture in which “totality of the world” is no longer accessible. It results in the construction of the narrator who wants to be an epic story aoidos but cannot be one in the world alien to him.

Las variedades en las clases de ELE / EL2 son un ingrediente indispensable y hay que recurrir a fuentes auténticas para ofrecer un input real a los alumnos. El uso de los recursos audiovisuales para tal efecto ya se ha normalizado en los últimos años, pero antes de usar las telenovelas mexicanas en el aula habría que determinar si el español hablado en las telenovelas mexicanas es realmente un reflejo de la(s) variedad(es) mexicana(s). En este artículo se investigan las características lingüísticas de nueve telenovelas mexicanas y se busca dar respuesta a la pregunta de si pueden constituir un input valioso tanto como variedad preferente o variedad periférica.

The article criticizes the criteria for testing the authenticity of Russian bylinas (heroic folk epics) offered by V.Y. Propp in his book " The Russian Heroic Epic ". The author of the article argues that Propp employs these characteristics for identifying what he considers as " the right " bylinas which are filled with the pathos of political struggle, offering, however, a one-sided definition of the epics as " songs about 'fighting and a victory', with fragments from bylinas and even whole bylinas being " culled " on the ground that they sing of some moral spiritual struggle, and not of the political one. Propp's thesis that bylinas manifest " the people's aspirations " is appraised by the author as a productive one as it poses the question about a correlation between historicism and propheticism in the Russian epic reflecting the spiritual meaning of historical events which was clear to the people as well as the people's anticipation of its own historical mission.

This text explores the notion of the feminine through the schemas of epic and tragedy in Ricœur’s work, symbolized by the figures of Penelope and Antigone. Later, we will propose Medea as a better example for Gender Studies, interpreted in relation to the developments of The Rule of Metaphor on resemblance and substitution, and to the process of mimesis of Time and Narrative.

Dans ce texte, la notion du féminin est explorée à travers deux schémas présents dans lʹœuvre de Ricœur, celui de lʹépopée et celui de la tragédie, symbolisés par les figures de Pénélope et Antigone. Par la suite, on proposera Médée comme un exemple qui sʹadapte de manière appropriée à la problématique des études de genre, interprété par rapport aux développements de La Métaphore vive sur la ressemblance et la substitution, et au processus de la mimèsis dans Temps et récit.
