An investigation survey was carried out to examine factors affecting processing and quality of rice in Ekiti State, Nigeria. Nine major towns were selected from six Local Government Areas involved in rice production in the State. A structured questionnaire was used to collect information from three hundred (300) rice processors. Findings revealed that 47% of the processors were males and 53% are females, 66.7% of the processors have family size ranged within 4 to 7 persons, 63.78% of them have only primary education and 22.67% have no formal education, 70% of rice is gotten from middle men and 80% of the processors used their personal savings as capitals. 70% of the milling machines used was obsolete being single pass type characterized with high broken grains and 90% of the processors depend on diesel engines to power the mills while 7% had access to good storage facilities. These research populations are all Inspectorate auditors in Southeast Sulawesi Province that are distributed in 17 regencies/cities and 1 province namely there are 576 populations; meanwhile, the research samples are all inspectorate employees in Southeast Sulawesi meeting the following criteria: (1). The fuel energy resources around the globe are declining at a faster rate. The greenhouse gases emitted in the process of harnessing energy from the non-renewable resources such as coal, fossil-fuel and radioactive substances cause the global warming and there is a danger of climate change. All these factors compel the researchers to explore renewable sources for power generation. Wind is a renewable resource, which is available naturally and is practically inexhaustible. In this study, the hourly wind data collected between the years 2013 to 2015 is evaluated. The wind data at the height of 11 m was obtained from a wind station at the Indian Meteorological Department, Colaba (Mumbai, India). The energy efficiency can be improved by power electronics, which can reduce mismatch and shading losses in photovoltaic (PV) systems by using micro-inverters and DC-DC converters. Under partially shaded conditions, the use of the power electronics can recover between 10%– 30% of annual performance loss or more, depending on the system configuration and type of device used. Additional features may also increase the benefits like increased safety, reduced system design constraints and added monitoring and diagnostics by using per-panel power electronics, The economics of these devices will also become more favourable as production volume increases and integration within the solar panel’s junction box reduces part count and installation time. Some potential liabilities of devices include increased PV system cost, additional points of failure, and an insertion loss that may or may not offset performance gains under particular mismatch conditions.

The main objective of research paper is to assess the “Impact of High Performance Work System (HPWS) on Organizational Performance (OP) in Banking Sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir”. It has been well proven from existing body of knowledge that a well devised HPWS is one of the factors which can enhance the performance level in organizations. The present research work will investigate the linkage between HPWS and OP through mediating role of OCB in banking sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Seven HPWS practices i-e Performance Based Rewards, Result Oriented Appraisal, Clear Job Design, High Levels of Training, Internal Mobility and Rigorous Hiring processes have been taken for the study. The adopted indicators of organizational performance constructed on cumulative performance level. Study is exploratory in nature because its main focus is on either HPWS – OP relationship will be mediated by OCB or not. Data has collected from employees of cadre Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3 officers of the banks through structured questionnaires The hypotheses have been tested by correlation and multiple regression analysis. Two steps multiple hierarchal regression is applied to test mediation. Cronbach’s alpha is used to test the validity and reliability of the measured constructs. Similarly, correlation and regression estimates pointed out that all the variables under study were positively related to each other. Outcomes of the study also exhibited positive and direct relationship between HPWS-OP relationships. Furthermore, it has also inveterate that OCB mediated the association between HPWS and OP. The research paper presented insights that rigorous hiring processes, high level of training and performance based rewards of HPWS practices appears as a strongest forecaster of OP and are most effective practices to determine the volumes of OP in the culture of banking sector of AJ&K. The challenge of climate change results primarily from the global use of fossil fuel. Renewable energy as alternative energy source allows the use of natural sources such as micro-hydro, wind; solar, and biomass that are sustainable to be explored. The increase in the dependence on renewable energy calls for attention which can be solved by the use of energy management. Energy management will provide a consistent and controllable power supply. There is the need for the integration of energy management into the grid planning and design. The purpose of this study is to analyze and prove the effect of project management knowledge (PMBOK5th) in improving manager competence and construction project performance. The location of research data collection was carried out in the city of Surabaya and surrounding areas (Indonesia). The study population consisted of 35 large and medium-sized qualification contractor companies that were carrying out 62 construction projects in the city of Surabaya. Projects currently underway include projects: Apartments, office buildings, roads, bridges, housing and others. The basic evolution of direct torque control from other drive types is explained. Qualitative comparisons with other drives are included. The basic concepts behind direct torque control are clarified. An explanation of direct self control and the field-orientation concepts implemented in the adaptive motor model block is presented. The reliance of the control method on fast processing techniques is stressed. The theoretical foundations for the control concept are provided in summary format. Information on the ancillary control blocks outside the basic direct torque control is given. The implementation of special functions directly related to the control approach is described. Therefore, it is very important to conduct research on the analysis of customer equity, customer loyalty in the context of c2c e-marketplace in Indonesia (study in the product groceries category) which aims to partially determine the effect of brand equity, value equity and relationship equity on trust and customer loyalty and the influence of trust on customer loyalty. The design of this study uses an explanatory approach. The data analysis technique uses structural equation model (SEM) and sampling is limited to certain criteria (purposive sampling). The current study examined the impact of foreign trade on agricultural output in Nigeria based on data sourced from 1981 to 2018 by employing a number of estimation techniques such as Cobb-Douglas, unit root testing, autoregressive distributed lag among others within the context of two profound theories of exchange rate - the vent – for surplus theory of international trade; factor endowments theory. Bioethanol production from lignocellulosic biomass (LCB) has been demonstrated as alternative to conventional fuel, as it is considered to be renewable and clean energy. The major problem of bioethanol is the availability of biomass materials for its production. This review paper aims to provide an overview of the recent developments and potential regarding production techniques, ethanol yields, and properties, as well as the effects of bioethanol fuel as replacement for fossil fuel. The literature indicates that the best results have been obtained with cellulase and β-glucanase cocktail which significantly increases bioethanol production compared to fermented acid pretreatment. This study is aimed to identify the groundwater recharge potential zones, to be used for better and improved groundwater resources. The thematic layers considered in this study are geomorphology, soil, land use-land cover, slope (%), lithology and lineament, which are prepared using satellite imagery and other conventional data. Each hydro-geomorphic unit is evaluated for its recharge potential and suitably a map showing such groundwater recharge potential zones for appropriate recharge is prepared. The thematic layers are first digitized from satellite imagery, supported by ancillary data such as topo-sheets and field investigation data, finally all thematic layers were generated. Due to a considerable increase of electric energy demand and greenhouse gases emission in South Africa (SA), renewable energy (RE) systems are an important option to overcome this challenge. This paper presents an assessment of electric energy production using new manufactured photovoltaic (PV) systems in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) province. It has been found that electricity can be produced using PV technology with higher performance of 102.30 W/m 2 for SPR-P17-350-COM PV module and 97.15 W/m 2 for SPR-P19-400-COM PV module obtained at the site SM10 and low performance of 81.54 W/m 2 for SPR-P17-350-COM PV module and 81.32 W/m 2 for SPR-P19-400-COM PV module obtained at the site SM04. This encourage the use of PV technology in the province to overcome the growing demand of electricity and reduce the emission of greenhouse gases produced by the coal-fired power plants.

Corrosion of mild steel in HCl was investigated using the weight loss method. The mild steel used was cut into 16 coupons with 5.0 cm x 5.0 cm x 0.2 cm dimensions which weredegreased with ethanol and washed with distilled water and finally weighed. The mild steel coupons were exposed to HCl with varied concentrations (0, 10, 25 and 40%) of Garcinia kola extracts used as corrosion inhibitors for 4 hours at 400C and 600C respectively. The result showed that at 400C; the inhibition efficiency of 65.5% was observed at 25 % HCl concentration and 62.9% at 40% HCl concentration while at 600C; inhibition efficiency of 87.7% was at 25% HCl concentration and 88.1% at 40% concentration respectively. This paper aims to investigate the effect of railway development on the Indonesia national economy with Input-Output analysis. The data used in this study are Input- Output data from 2000 to 2010. Input-Output data analysis generates contribution, value added, intermediate input, final input, linkage and multiple impacts of railway to other modes of transportation and national economy. The result of Input-Output data analysis concludes that railway has forward and backward linkage to various sub sectors, therefore it can become superior sub-sector to increase national economic growth. The authors proposes a method for Model order reduction of linear dynamic SISO system using an Optimization algorithm based on the intelligent foraging behaviour of honey bee swarm, called Artificial Bee Colony(ABC). The numerator and denominator polynomials of the reduced order model are computed by minimizing the Integral square error(ISE) pertaining to unit step input using ABC algorithm. The reduction procedure is simple, efficient and computer oriented. The proposed method guarantees stability of the reduced order model if the original higher order system is stable. The validity of algorithm is illustrated with the help of two numerical examples considered from the literature and the results are compared with other recently published reduction techniques to show its superiority.

Water tank is a life line structure, are extensively used in water supply facilities, oil, gas and nuclear power plants, for storage of variety of liquid material, e.g. Oil, LNG.Due to earthquake critical damage to elevated R. C. C. tanks are found. In the present work, a 50 m 3 water tank has been analyzed for x-direction earthquake ground motion for fixed and an isolation system (Elastomeric bearing) is used to reduce the behavior of the basic response e.g. base shear, time period, tower drift, flexibility, of the elevated R. C. C. tanks. For solving complicated equation of motion for a coupled analysis a Newmark's step by step iteration method is used. After detailed analysis of 50 kL water tank, due to isolation base shear reduced significantly and the sloshing displacement increases as compared to non-isolated tank, also increase in isolation period from 2 sec to 4 sec, base shear reduced significantly.

The amount of rainfall received over an area is an important factor in assessing availability of water to meet various demands for agriculture, industry, irrigation, generation of hydroelectricity and other human activities. In our study, we consider seasonal and periodic time series models for statistical analysis of rainfall data of Punjab, India. In this research paper we apply the Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average and Periodic autoregressive model to analyse the rainfall data of Punjab. For evaluation of the model identification and periodic stationarity the statistical tool used are PeACF and PePACF. In an effort to measure the current network for suppliers and users of internet service, a paradigm shift is needed. This condition is stimulated by the increasing scale of internet users worldwide reaching 34.4% of the total world population according to Internet World Stats as of June 2012. Internet network measurement is directly impacting the end-user satisfactory level as the target factor for Quality of Experience (QoE). This research proposes an integrated internet measurement model which is involving the Quality of Service (QoS) parameters through active measurement system activated from passive measurement. The proposed measurement model is capable of giving feedbacks in form of network performance recommendation at any given time interval.
