This study attempts to understand the problems pre-service teachers encountered when planning an English lesson, implementing it, and reflecting on their teaching performance afterwards. Pre-service teachers (N=17) were asked to fill a survey after their second teaching trial in the hosting schools containing open-ended and closed questions.  At the beginning, the senior participants majoring in elementary English education claimed that they had well prepared their lessons. Various controllable and uncontrollable factors affected their lesson delivery. When reflecting on their lesson implementation, most student-teachers could identify some strengths and weaknesses in their plans. Some sample lesson plans were also analyzed. Findings showed that participants were not trained enough to write reflections on their implemented lessons. Moreover, the problems they mentioned when planning their lessons were related to their inadequate choice of activities, their poor students’ English proficiency, and their poor time and classroom management skills. The paper ends with some recommendations.

Résumé
Cette étude vise à comprendre les problèmes rencontrés par les stagières durant la préparation d’une leçon d'Anglais, son application et l'évaluation de leur performance. Les participants (N = 17) sont invités à remplir un questionnaire concernant leur deuxième leçon dans les écoles d'accueil contenant des questions ouvertes et fermées. Les stagières spécialisés dans l'enseignement primaire ont affirmé qu'elles avaient bien préparé leurs leçons. Divers facteurs ont affecté leur cours. Durant l’application, elles pouvaient identifier quelques points forts et faibles. Certaines leçons ont été analysées. Les résultats ont montré que les participants n'étaient pas suffisamment formés pour écrire des réflexions. En outre, les problèmes qu'elles ont mentionnés lors de la conception de leurs leçons étaient liés à leur choix inadéquat d'activités, à la faible maîtrise de l'Anglais de leurs élèves et à leur faible capacité de gestion du temps et de la classe. La recherche se termine par quelques recommandations.

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى فهم المشاكل التي تواجه الطلاب المتدربيّن عند تحضيرهم درساً باللغة الإنكليزية ثم تعليمه للتلامذة ولاحقاً تقييم أدائهم تحضيراً وتنفيذاً.  ط‍ُلب من جميع متدرّبي السنة الثالثة ( وعددهم 17) ملء استمارة عن تحضيرهم وتعليمهم الدرس الثاني من الفصل الخامس في المدارس المضيفة، وهي تضم أسئلة عن كيفية التحضير والتعليم والمصاعب التي واجهتهم، وجاءت الاجابات بأنهم قاموا بالتحضير بشكل جيد، لكن هنالك عوامل مختلفة أثرّت على الأداء في مرحلة التعليم، كما تضمّنت الإجابات تعداداً لبعض نقاط القوة والضعف في مرحلتي تحضير الدرس وتعليمه. بعدها تمّ تحليل ما حوته الاستمارات وتحليل خطة بعض الدروس التي نفذها المتدّربون سابقاً. أظهرت النتائج أنهم لم يكونوا مدّربين بما فيه الكفاية للقيام بالممارسة التفكّرية في تحضير الدروس وتعليمها، بالإضافة إلى المشاكل التي اعترضتهم عند تحضير الدروس لجهة الخيار الملائم للأنشطة اللغّوية ولضعف مهاراتهم في حسن إدارة الوقت والصف، فضلاً عن عدم اتقان التلامذة اللغة الإنكليزية بشكل مقبول، وتنتهي الدراسة ببعض التوصيات .

ABSTRACT
The responsiveness of the market financial instruments in terms of prices to reflect market information and the inability of information privileged market participant(s) to out-perform other counterparts pose the quest to test whether the strong form of market efficiency prevail in the Nigerian capital market or not. With the extraction of the returns on 240 stocks from the database of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), a comparison was made between a constructed random portfolio and a 3-year annualized average return on the portfolios of the mutual fund industry. In this empirical study, the analysis deduced that mutual funds were unable to out-perform the random portfolios created from the index stocks, which thus implies that the strong form of market efficiency holds in the Nigerian Capital Market. Nonetheless, profound analysis on stock volatility risk is essential to avoid substantial loss in the stock market.

Information and communication technology (ICT) has recently been changing the landscape of communication, processing of information and even the field of education. Although ICT was not originally intended for educational purposes, it continues to gain popularity as a supplementary resource to support learning (Traore & Kyei-Blankson 2011) because of the many benefits it offers to both teachers and learners. It promotes collaboration (Khan et al. 2012, Ndebele 2017), provides an engaging and motivating environment (Chun & Plass 1997, Hsu 2011, Kern & Warschauer 2000), develops 21st century skills (Barrot 2015b, Voogt et al. 2013) and enhances language proficiency (Kessler & Hubbard 2017, Tsai & Jenks 2009, Wang 2004).

Rad predstavlja portfolio kao odgovor na traganje za evaluativnim postupcima koji su pogodni za sagledavanje i razumevanje iskustva učenja u nastavnom procesu. Polazeći od značaja perspektive učenika, rad ispituje mogućnost korišćenja portfolia učenika kao sredstva koje pomaže u učenju, a ujedno i kao izvora evaluativnih podataka o učenju učenika. Osim toga, rad se osvrće na mogućnost da se učenički portfolio i istraživanje aktivnosti vođenja učeničkog portfolia koriste kao izvori podataka o nastavi, relevantni za bolje razumevanje nastave kao i za njeno razvijanje. Autori kroz istraživanje studentskog viđenja dobiti i teškoća od vođenja portfolia koje su
sproveli u okviru sopstvene nastavne prakse (učestvovalo je 173 studenata-budućih nastavnika iz četiri školske godine), potvrđuju dobiti od aktivnosti vođenja portfolia za učenike, kao i koristi od praćenja aktivnosti vođenja portfolia za nastavnike, te portfolio prikazuju kao evaluativno sredstvo koje ima veliki formativni potencijal. Nalazi ove studije ukazuju na značaj konteksta u kome se uvodi portfolio kao aktivnost studenata i na potrebu osiguravanja kontinuirane podrške studentima za rad na portfoliu, ukoliko želimo da se potencijali portfolia iskoriste u punoj meri, kako u pogledu dobiti studenata od ove aktivnosti, tako i dobiti nastavnika.

Artykuł jest pewną propozycją, przykładem zastosowania TI względem metody portfolio i wykorzystania jej w kształceniu multimedialnym na lekcjach historii. Z poczynionych obserwacji wynika, że multimedialna metoda portfolio zdecydowanie podnosi poziom i efektywność nauczania. Uczeń od samego początku ma świadomość swobody w działaniu (uczeniu się), prawo, a nawet obowiązek dokonywania wyboru w ramach określonego problemu (zagadnienia), co z kolei dopinguje go do twórczego działania, jednocześnie wdraża do samokształcenia i pozwala na kształtowanie umiejętności.

This action research first explores the problems faced by both teachers and students at School of Foreign Languages - Thai Nguyen University in doing their English Magazine Project, and then examines the effectiveness of the researcher’s intervention at her class which was using portfolios to (1) let students take input from their reading to improve their writing and (2) enhance teamwork skills by means of compulsory group-editing. A combination of qualitative data from class observation and interviews and quantitative ones from questionnaire and writing error calculation was employed among participants. Results revealed that lack of exposure to authentic reading
sources and poor group work resulted in poor writings; in addition, portfolios brought in significant improvement in students’ articles and more effective team-work although teacher’s workload remained unchanged. In general, this study is useful in the context of project-based learning environment in Vietnam in general and in other similar contexts.

O desenvolvimento acelerado das tecnologias da informação, especialmente através da expansão da Internet, vem criando um espaço de atuação ainda pouco explorado por designers. Esta dissertação aponta para algumas das possibilidades
relacionadas à apresentação profissional dos designers na rede mundial, direcionando o olhar aos ciberfólios, sites que se caracterizam pela sua representação neste ambiente. Para tal, são estudados aspectos da comunicação no ciberespaço e o
poder de alcance da nova mídia, investigando a interação dos profissionais inseridos no mercado de trabalho com os ciberfólios, seja como visitantes - potenciais clientes - ou autores.

Nous présentons ici deux dispositifs de portfolio en lien avec des systèmes d'évaluation certificatives en fin d'études. Ces dispositifs « bilan de compétences » et « présentation critique du portfolio » sont comparés. Les résultats d'une analyse exploratoire des dossiers écrits permettent de constater des différences dans l'élaboration des textes. Il semble que la certification sur la base d'un bilan de compétences uniquement engendre un conformisme au détriment de la qualité de l'évaluation. Nous argumentons la tension entre les référentiels de compétences et les processus de certification, d'une part, et le portfolio de développement d'autre part. Des améliorations semblent possibles en séparant les compétences du processus de formation, tout en les gardant en tant que finalité de la formation. Nous concluons en proposant un outil d'évaluation des textes réflexifs pour les dispositifs d'évaluation certificative.

El presente artículo forma parte de una investigación más amplia en el área de la evaluación de competencias educativas (Proyecto I+D, ref. SEJ-2007-66967), financiada por el Ministerio de Educación (España). En él ofrecemos los datos relativos a uno de los estudios de caso que se llevaron a cabo en el marco de dicho proyecto; bajo la metodología de investigación colaborativa, encaminada a la comprensión y análisis de los procesos educativos implicados en los aprendizajes de segundo orden (“aprender cómo aprender”) a través de la experimentación del portafolios en el aula. En este sentido, se concluye que el portafolios del alumnado puede ser una interesante estrategia de evaluación educativa, la cual, además, puede convertirse en estrategia “alternativa” a las pruebas estandarizadas de evaluación de competencias educativas que predominan en nuestro panorama educativo.

Creating the wealth of data required for edTPA portfolios can feel overwhelming to teacher candidates, including high-achieving ones. Teacher education programs in 40 states require teacher candidates working toward visual art certification to take edTPA, a high-stakes summative performance assessment developed by Stanford Center for Assessment, Learning and Equity (SCALE) and distributed by Pearson’s Evaluations Systems (Pearson Education, 2018). Since its implementation in 2013, edTPA has been aligned with accreditation and teacher candidates’ requirements for program completion, graduation, and/or teacher certification. edTPA’s implementation arose in response to the teacher accountability movement, with its standardized measures designed by SCALE as valid predictors of preservice teachers’ abilities to effectively instruct preK- 12 students on their first day of teaching (Pecheone, Whittaker, & Klesch, 2017). For its visual arts assessment, art education specialists have provided input in developing and updating its requirements, resources, and rubrics that address concepts of best practices within the field and content derived from the National Visual Arts Standards.

La mise en place de nouvelles approches en éducation rend nécessaire le recours à de nouveaux types d’évaluation et de suivi des étudiants. C’est le cas du portfolio dont l’usage est lié à l’émergence de l’approche par compétences qui vise à doter les étudiants, non seulement des connaissances mais aussi de compétences leur permettant de mieux réussir leur devenir professionnel.

Este artigo procura refletir sobre como os fotolivros vêm sendo compreendidos a partir das definições que lhes são dadas por pesquisadores, fotógrafos, historiadores e artistas visuais ao longo dos anos. Isto é, como estes livros vem sendo classificados, ou categorizados. Para tal apresentaremos definições de alguns outros de livros de fotografia que ora se distinguem, ora se confundem com as definições dadas aos fotolivros. Dito isso, analisaremos as possibilidades e limitações desse tipo de conhecimento por definições para o estudo sobre fotolivros.

Through financial network analysis we ascertain the existence of important causal behavior among certain financial assets, as inferred by eight different causality methods. To our knowledge this is the first extensive comparative analysis of financial networks as produced by various causality methods. Additionally, some specific non-linear causalities are used for the first time in the financial network research. Our results contradict the Efficient Market Hypothesis and open new horizons for further investigation and possible arbitrage opportunities. Moreover, we find some evidence that two of the causality methods used, at least to some extent, could warn us about the financial crisis of 2007-2009. Furthermore, we test the similarity percentage of the eight causality methods and we find that the most similar pair of causality-induced networks is on average less than 50% similar throughout the time period examined, rendering thus the comparability and substitutability among those causality methods rather dubious. We also rank the assets in terms of overall out-strength centrality and we find that there is an underlying bonds regime almost monopolising in some cases the realm of causality. Finally, using the network visualization, we observe an established pattern (i.e., across all causalities) of oil's rising role as the financial network faces the Chinese stock market crash.

L'Unione europea ha incluso tra le sue priorità lo sviluppo del lifelong learning e dell’adult education, in conformità alle Raccomandazioni comunitarie in materia di apprendimento permanente, che vedono nell’integrazione della formazione formale, non formale e informale, l’elemento centrale delle attuali politiche di sviluppo delle risorse umane, condizione indispensabile per esercitare il diritto di cittadinanza attiva. Diventa fondamentale l’acquisizione di competenze per tutto l’arco della vita e l’individuazione di standard, criteri e modelli di validazione che consentano al professionista non solamente di pianificare il percorso formativo, misurando al contempo la propria crescita professionale ma di predisporre anche uno strumento, diverso dal curriculum, valutabile e spendibile nel mercato del lavoro. In Italia, le associazioni professionali come l’AIB, sono chiamate ad attestare le competenze degli associati secondo il modello utilizzato in ambito europeo per la validazione di crediti. Lo strumento che meglio di ogni altro può documentare e riassumere le competenze di tutti i professionisti dell'informazione è il portfolio, già sperimentato in alcuni paesi dell’area anglosassone. Il volume ripercorre la storia del portfolio delle competenze fino alla presentazione del modello predisposto da AIB e contiene un vademecum per la corretta compilazione. Fornisce inoltre indicazioni sulla tipologia di scrittura da adoperare per far emergere al meglio le competenze acquisite, oltre a esempi di portfolii già compilati, compreso un modello “sapiente” legato all’esperienza conclusiva di un Master e una riflessione sulle differenti buone pratiche, messe in atto in Austria e in Bulgaria, per l’acquisizione di un titolo professionale.

The aim of this paper is to gauge the scope of applying Teaching Portfolios to the English language teachers at the under graduate colleges in India. Teacher portfolios reflect the applicability of teachers beliefs in the practical classroom framework. Invariably teachers attitude and beliefs strongly affect studentss learning. Though many English teachers at the tertiary level are aware of the newer methodologies of imparting English language skills it is still at a superficial level of delivery in the ELT classes in India. The awareness of the need to reflect on the insights of an individual teacher' talents and beliefs about ELT could be beneficial for the ELT teaching fraternity. This paper prods on the productivity of Teaching Portfolios as an assessment endeavor to recognize the teachers parity on their reported beliefs of teaching, their approach and inclination towards pedagogical strategies and effective ELT approaches execution in the classroom. A window view of how teachers contrive their teaching, and their teaching practices and the classroom reality therein are shaped by their belief is deliberated with their portfolio interpretations. It can be clinched that aspects of reflective teaching that teachers reflect in depth consideration are those that are also the most visible in their teaching practices.

Après deux ans de projet (sur les trois années prévues), nous proposons dans cette communication un bilan de l’accompagnement des équipes pédagogiques pour mettre en œuvre l’évaluation des compétences à l’aide d’un outil e-portfolio. Le but est de pouvoir vérifier si nos objectifs pourront être atteints en fin de projet, et le cas échéant, de trouver des pistes pour réguler l’accompagnement.

چکیده: هدف از مقاله حاضر بررسی شیوه های ارزشیابی از آموخته های دانشجویان در دوران کرونا: چالش ها و راهکارها با تاکید بر عدالت ارزشیابی بود. به منظور نیل به هدف پژوهش از روش تحقیق کیفی و به منظور تحلیل اطلاعات گردآوری شده از تحلیل محتوا استفاده شد. شرکت‌کنندگان پژوهش را "صاحبنظران" تشکیل دادند که با استفاده از روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند و نمونه گیری گلوله برفی انتخاب شدند. جمع آوری اطلاعات با روش مصاحبه نیمه ساختار یافته بود. علاوه بر آن به منظور جمع آوری اطلاعات از سایر منابع، نظرات دانشجویان کارشناسی، کارشناسی ارشد و دکتری با استفاده از نمونه گیری در دسترس و از طریق پرسشنامه باز پاسخ مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. در کل نظرات 14 صاحبنظر و 66 دانشجو مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. نتایج نشان داد مهمترین شیوه های ارزشیابی از آموخته های دانشجویان در دوران شیوع ویروس کرونا (آموزش مجازی) عبارتند از امتحان حضوری (در صورت مجوز مبادی ذیربط)، امتحان کتبی مجازی، امتحان شفاهی مجازی، پرسش و پاسخ شفاهی، ارائه های مجازی، کارپوشه الکترونیکی و ارزشیابی چندگانه (تلفیقی). در این مقاله چالش ها و مزایای هر کدام از روش های ذکر شده بررسی و راهکارهای لازم برای کاهش پیامدهای منفی هر کدام از روش ها ارائه شد. با توجه به نظرات پاسخگویان، بسنده کردن به یک روش ارزشیابی، اعتبار ارزشیابی را کاهش می دهد و لذا لازم است متناسب با محتوا و اهداف از روش های چندگانه (تلفیقی) برای ارزشیابی آموخته های فراگیران استفاده کرد.

Annotation. The performance of Canadian-Ukrainian volunteer exchange programmes “Youth Leaders in Action” in the context of international student mobility as a result of 15 years cooperation between the National University of Ostroh Academy and Canadian non-governmental organization Canada World Youth has been presented in the article. The goals of the exchange program, its objectives and policies, activities, as well as academic credits that exchange students can obtain during the exchange program are defined.
