Open Cities are growing partnership that aims to catalyze the creation, management and use of open data to produce innovative solutions for urban planning and resilience challenges across the world.

Since its inception, Open Cities has brought together stakeholders from government, donor agencies, the private sector, universities, and civil society groups to create usable information through community mapping techniques, to build applications and tools that inform decision making, and to develop the networks of trust and social capital necessary for these efforts to become sustainable.

Nagpur City is one of the most rapidly urbanizing conglomerate in Central India and world pace. In the ‘Open Data- An Innovation in Local Government’ white paper, I have Introduced the Open Data Concept through Smart city initiative & its Significance and demonstrated use of Open Data in few Sectors. The process of Open Data will be evolutionary; will help in increasing transparency, promoting citizen control of public organizations, government innovation and enhancing public accountability.

Open Data is about transparency, about giving citizens access to the data their taxes help create and it’s about innovation – enabling a platform to transform that data into useful applications that make city services available anytime, anywhere. Open Data Guide captures those lessons learned and best practices to provide city leaders and staff a starting point to chart their own initiatives. It is not intended as a technical document, rather a primer loaded with tools, resources and advice for creating a data-driven city.

The success depends on how standards and framework is defined to leverage ICT in efficient manner, how consensus can be achieved democratically, how Nagpur specific problems are addressed, and finally, how it is done in most cost- effective and incremental manner via open source approach.

Today monitoring environmental parameters have gained more importance due to the increasing security and regulatory compliance needs. So the measurement and such parameters become critically important. The main aim of this paper is to monitoring the environmental temperature and humidity. There will be some fluctuations in the environment, the analysis and visualization of such changes is difficult. The proposed system is designed using Internet of Things based embedded system(Arduino) and time series database InfluxDB. We are using DHT11 sensor to collect the data from the environment and then stores the collected data in Influxdb. For any mischievous or any anomalous situation, alert is send to the concern people. Dynamic alert is generated with use of kapacitor and also grafana is used for visualizing the results. The collected data is also exported for smart data analysis using deep neural network technique to avoid the manual operations. The experimental results shows that this system can be used effectively in smart city different applications like Smart Street light management and smart electric grids.

Dengan tingginya angka pertumbuhan penduduk ini telah menimbulkan banyak masalah bagi kota-kota di berbagai bidang seperti transportasi, mobilisasi barang, pengunaan energi, dan lain-lain. Jakarta merupakan kota di Indonesia yang memiliki status setingkat provinsi. Sebagai Ibukota Republik Indonesia yang menjadi pusat ekonomi dan pemerintahan memiliki permasalahan yang serupa dengan kota-kota metropolitan dunia seperti masalah urbanisasi, kemiskinan, ketimpangan sosial, penyediaan fasilitas umum, perumahan, tata ruang, listrik, transportasi massal, kemacetan dan polusi udara kota Jakarta perlu menemukan cara-cara baru untuk menghadapi tantangan-tantangan ini dengan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi guna mempermudah tata kelola dan pelayanan kota, (Hiremath et al., 2013) Perkembangan teknologi terbaru untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup di berbagai sektor seperti transportasi, ekonomi,lingkungan,masyarakat, kehidupan dan tata kelola, Kota-kota perlu menemukan cara baru untuk menghadapi tantangan-tantangan ini. tujuan dari pembuatan tesis ini adalah studi kasus kelayakan Penerapan smartcity di Jakarta, dengan menerapkan dan menghubungkan dengan 6 Komponen utama smartcity sebagai indikator pencapaian. dengan mengunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, penulis berusaha mendapatkan gambaran secara sistematis, faktual dan jelas mengenai fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi sehubungan dengan topik yang dibahas. Penelitian deskriptif yaitu penelitian yang menggambarkan dan melukiskan keadaan obyek penelitian pada saat sekarang sebagaimana adanya berdasarkan
fakta-fakta (Musianto, 2002) berdasarkan hasil kajian literatur, survey, kuisioner, Interview dan membuat perbandingan inisiatif yang dilakukan di kota-kota terpilih yaitu Jakarta dan Singapura, melalui matriks deskriptor dikembangkan. Meskipun hasil belum maksimal dan
akan berkelanjutan dalam pengembangannya, Dengan begitu dapat dikatakan bahwa maka Jakarta dikatakan layak menerapkan kota cerdas (smart city) yang dimana mempunyai 6 komponen indikator, yaitu Smart Government, Smart Economy, Smart Live, Smart Living, Smart People, dan Smart Mobility. kolaborasi yang cerdas merupakan komponen yang
pentingnya dalam penerapan konsep smartcity agar setiap pemangku kepentingan dapat bersinergi, dan transparan agar penerapannya lebih tertata dan terarah, mulai dari tahap perencaan, desain, mengeimplementasian , operasional, optimalisasi, tidak adanya saling
menyalahkan antar pemangku kepetingan, dalam hal bisnis model mulai dari pendanaan dan kerjasama dengan pihak swasta yang telah terbukti dalam proyek pembangunan smartcity di beberapa kota smartcity yang terdahulu
.

Abstrack Implementation of smartcity in the city of Balikpapan is a challenge for governance that aims to provide the welfare of the community. Innovation are developed through the application of the concept of smartcity is still recently implemented and is still fairly new, but the application already indicates the serious intention of the city government to provide ease of information and services needed by the community. With the application of technology in the service to the community, of course the role and duty of the local government of the city will be helped and also the goal of the city government to provide excellent service to the public in order to realize the smart government will be achieved.

Este trabalho é publicado com a perspectiva de ajudar a quem possa e tenha alguma curiosidade sobre Cadeias de Abastecimento a nível elementar universitário. Foi desenvolvido para a cadeira com o mesmo nome para a ESCE/IPS, com base no leccionado e enunciado pelos professores da mesma unidade curricular. Além disso serve, também, para divulgar os melhores trabalhos desenvolvidos. Professores Flávio Guerreiro e Tiago Pinho. Alunos Ana Almeida, Rui Luna, Rodrigo Ramalho e Vítor Martins. O tema desenvolvido assume vários pressupostos teóricos e desenvolvimento prático de algumas questões das SmartCities.

Resumo A definição de «Smart City» apesar de variar consoante a fonte bibliográfica, apresenta sempre duas características, o uso de Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação e a Participação Pública Ativa. O tema deste trabalho reporta-se à análise da abordagem usada pela Administração Pública, nos termos do disposto na legislação portuguesa, que tem por objetivo aumentar a participação pública, através da utilização de plataformas digitais interativas, usando como caso de estudo o Algarve e como método de investigação a análise e sistematização do conteúdo dos sites dos dezasseis municípios algarvios. Apesar de todos os municípios algarvios possuírem sites detetou-se uma grande variedade na oferta de serviços e simultaneamente algumas contradições entre "entrega de informação pública"; "prestação de contas dos gestores políticos", "facilitação de comunicação na ótica do consumidor" e "participação pública ativa". Por outro lado, no que concerne à consulta pública de temas referentes ao território, para além de serem pouco comuns nos sites que dão publicidade de forma expedita, em regra, os documentos possuem uma linguagem técnica hermética, prejudicial à compreensão do grande público.

Resumen
Este trabajo de fin de Báchelor (TFB) tiene como objetivo sistematizar y consolidar los contenidos y el
aprendizaje obtenido a lo largo del curso de Gestión y Planificación de Ciudades Inteligentes realizado en la
Universitat Carlemany.
El estudio pretende realizar un análisis de la implementación del BRT - Bus Rapid Transport en las ciudades
de São Paulo (Brasil), Bogotá (Colombia), Lima (Perú) y Quito (Ecuador), así como el impacto de su implementación en
el sistema de transporte público local y el reflejo en los indicadores urbanos, con el fin de evaluar el proceso histórico
de ejecución de cada proyecto, los indicadores de movilidad y la infraestructura integrada a estos sistemas para
finalizar con la elaboración de un cuadro comparativo de las cuatro redes implementadas y de su funcionamiento,
posteriormente elaborar una serie de recomendaciones a raíz del análisis obtenido, que puedan servir de base para la
implementación de proyectos futuros en otras ciudades latinoamericanas que presenten demandas similares.

Abstract:
This Bachelors thesis (BFT) aims to systematize and consolidate the contents and learning obtained
throughout the course of Management and Planning of Smart Cities carried out at the Universitat Carlemany.
The study aims to analyze the implementation of BRT - Bus Rapid Transport in the cities of São Paulo (Brazil),
Bogota (Colombia), Lima (Peru) and Quito (Ecuador), as well as the impact of its implementation on the local public
transport system and the reflection in urban indicators, in order to evaluate the process and implementation history of
each project, The objective is to evaluate the process and implementation history of each project, the mobility
indicators and the infrastructure integrated to these systems in order to elaborate a comparative table of the four
implemented networks and their performance, and then to elaborate a series of recommendations based on the
analysis obtained, which may serve as a basis for the implementation of future projects in other Latin American cities

Istanbul Design Biennial, Istanbul Bilgi University Visual
Communication Design Department, IIDj - Institute for
Information Design Japan (Tokyo), and LIN Architects (Berlin/
Paris) in collaboration with TAK - Design Atelier
Kadiköy, and WICS 2014 - World Intelligent Cities Summit,
have been organizing a Workshop/Panel as Urban Manifest to
initiate, support, and facilitate local interventions for
developing the future Istanbul as Smart City.
The workshop was based on the proposition of a series of
Information Hubs in strategically selected neighborhoods
that would not only act as enablers for local businesses
and communal activities, but also would become part of a
larger city branding master plan.
Hubs narrowcast context-relevant information, collect
information provided by people, and also generate income by
leasing space for commercial and non-commercial purposes ,
thus becoming catalysts for urban communication and activities.
Information Hubs are what in the old Istanbul have
been the public water fountains - SEBILS - built at crossroads
and hot spots of the surrounding neighborhood.
We invited young creators, business developers, communal
activists, and local government strategists to explore 3
different views on these hubs in a 1-day workshop:

In small teams, directed by local and international experts,
participants drew blueprints for the future Istanbul
and presented these in a follow-up Panel at the World

La apertura de datos consiste en poner a disposición de la ciudadanía datos que le sean de su interés en formatos de licencia libre que sean fácilmente utilizados, lo cual se realiza por medio de la interoperabilidad, que es a su vez un presupuesto para la construcción de ciudades inteligentes, que se caracterizan por poseer sistemas y servicios plenamente integrados. De tal manera, que los datos abiertos son un presupuesto necesario para la construcción de Smart Cities.

A noção situacionista de deriva firmou-se por ser uma prática crítica da cidade funcional, oferecendo um olhar diferente da racionalidade previamente estabelecida. O que permanece válido nessa viagem crítica da vida cotidiana (LEFEBVRE, 2014)? Como pensar a deriva hoje, com a ubiquidade digital que irrompe das mediações pelas tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TICs), hoje reunidas no conceito de mediatização? O estudo sinaliza para a necessidade de analisar criticamente o espaço para além de uma esfera computacional para questionar como derivar em uma cidade organizada pela informação.

Smart city (SC) is defined by Navigant Research as the integration of ICT and communications technology into a strategic approach to sustainability, citizen well-being and economic development. Also, a SC is defined as the connecting of devices with little processing power together to solve problems in the city. To this end, smart devices have being identified as the most feasible approach to achieve cities that are sustainable, improve citizens wellbeing and lead to economic development as illustrated by the former definition. To achieve SC, the smart devices will be applied to improve virtually all the human endeavours. But the best energy efficient architecture that will enable connections between all these devices still remain vague as results of divergent applications and their associate unique operational characteristics. This paper proposes a unique hybrid energy efficient cellular centric architecture for smart cities development in Nigeria.

Nine more cities made it to the final list of the selected 100 smart cities in India. The nine cites that made it to the final list are : Silvassa (Dadra and Nagar Haveli), Erode (Tamil Nadu), Diu (Daman & Diu), Sharif (Bihar), Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh), Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh), Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh), Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) and Kavaratti (Lakshwadeep). Shillong (the capital of Meghalaya would be the 100th city after it submits its proposal.
