Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani, the Australian billionaires behind the Stake.com cryptocurrency casino, now own more than 5 per cent of ASX-listed online bookmaker Pointsbet.

The pair told the ASX on Friday they had more than 16 million shares in Pointsbet through their local business, Easygo Gaming, in a clear signal of their intentions to earn money from traditional forms of wagering and entertainment. It is an increase from a 4.2 per cent entry stake, revealed by The Australian Financial Review in December.
