A Great Mistake! Try a Little Tenderness!

When buying daily non-food essentials like tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, and dish soap, I obsessively check for the best price (including shipping) usually between the "big box" stores and Amazon.com. I check and double-check with 2 carts at the ready until I MUST decide. (Decide or get out the cotton hankies!) I did not know it, but I clicked "pay" on TWO sites. The Presto tissues came first (not knowing I clicked "pay" on the other, too!), and I was surprised at how soft they were. They are great for sniffles, cleaning eyeglasses, and make-up goofs on tender eye skin. I had never tried this Amazon brand before. Then the second delivery came from the big box store! D'oh! OK, at least I don't have to worry about running out. I just used up the Presto, so yesterday I opened the first of the four cubes from the big box store. Same diff, right? Inexpensive, free shipping, functional tissues. This second pack of cubes was not such a great value. They are a lot stiffer, the two plies come apart, they aren't very kind to tender noses and eyes, and that quick make-up goof clean-up is uncomfortable! Note to Self: Get the Presto tissue cubes next time from AMAZON. I know me. I'll still price-check, but if the prices are the same, but I'll stick with these tissues if all other if prices are the same. Try a little tenderness! It's the tie-breaker between economical tissue choices!

Aside from being far more cost-effective, these tissues are higher quality than Kleenex brand. (Which I've always loved, due to the designs.) I had a square box of Kleenex left and pulled a tissue out of each brand's box and was amazed that the Presto tissues were much thicker, softer and stronger. They also had a more effective texture/grip and smelled better. (Kleenex had a significant, processed odor.) Kleenex's quality seems to have plummeted, while Presto's quality is palpably superior. I'm sold.

I am very particular with tissues. I really like thicker tissues and while living in Europe, I used to buy a specific brand that provided the desired thickness in four plies. Three were always too thin, ripping when unfolded while blowing my nose, aargh, who wants that. Four were strong enough but hair too thick. Those tissues do the same as my old 4 layered tissue brand in just only 3 plies. Tissues are nice and soft, thick enough, with good absorbency. Perfect combination. Very happy with those, already repurchased and will be buying more in the future. Also extra points for packaging - it is small and does not take up too much space.
