This one had more of a sit com feel than the original Just Add Magic.
The first series had some places where the script seemed to have to catch up with itself, but this one felt like it was doing that all the way through. As an adult, I can see how a lot of people would like this, and I can’t deny the mystery and adventures were plotted good, but there were far too many little misses that the first protectors and script itself were able to fill in.
You had too many directors working on this, and script and screen wise. this created too many missing points that should not have been going on.
I’m not going to create spoilers here, but professionally, too many screenwriters who didn’t know what they were doing ruined it for me. The ending, while a nice community and sweet idea, is just that.. sweet, but not practical considering all the children learned through their stories.
Just, no.
You should have spent more time developing build up and so,unions, and characters, keeping it going in order to give it a more practical ending and for the characters and those young actors sake.
I wish I could have loved this like I did the first round, especially since ISH is a character I began over ten years ago and have not given a full development yet, but the magick was rushed, forced and loosing its touch. I can see why you made Mystery. it’s, but am hoping the book writing itself isn’t this flimsy, because i really enjoyed the Just Add Magic Series.
