Organisers of one of the country's biggest agricultural shows have said they were "thrilled" to be welcoming back The Duke of Edinburgh to this year's event.

Prince Edward will spend a day at the Royal Norfolk Show on 27 June where he will meet exhibitors and show-goers.

The duke last attended the show 10 years ago in 2014 when he was its president.

Mark Nicholas, of the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, said: "His Royal Highness is a champion of young people and we are delighted that he will be supporting the show theme of young achievers."

The show will run over two days - 26 and 27 June - at the Costessey showground on the outskirts of Norwich.

It will feature more than 700 trade stands and 3,000 animals, with appearances by the RAF Falcons parachute display team.

The duke is also due to meet a group of local young people - called Young Diamonds - who will be honoured at the showground for their accomplishments and work.
