• Andy Murray has still never lost in the first round at Wimbledon after beating Australia's James Duckworth.
• Emma Raducanu made a winning start to her first Wimbledon as a Grand Slam champion with a straight-set victory over Alison van Uytvanck.
• Ukraine's Anhelina Kalinina is being motivated to win by earning as much money as possible to help people back home survive the war.
• World number two Ons Jabeur comfortably progressed to the second round.

More from Murray: "I thought I did well to rebound after the first set. He likes playing on the grass. He's come back from a hip surgery himself in January and was playing well.

"Once I started to find my returns I felt comfortable but I did well to get through it.

"There's always nerves and pressure and butterflies and stress before the first match. It was a longer build-up for me than usual because of the injury I had from Stuttgart.

"It was great to get out here, get a win under my belt and hopefully I'll play better from here on."

There was some vintage stuff in there. Everybody in the Murray camp was I'm sure happy with what they've seen.

Huge roar from player and crowd as Tamara Korpatsch nets to hand Heather Watson a set point but it's saved as the German outlasts the Briton in a long rally.

Another chance for Watson but she's wide with a backhand. She's then off target again and this time Korpatsch has a set point. And Watson goes long once more to hand over the opener on Court One.

Next up for Murray is a second-round meeting with John Isner, who beat Enzo Couacaud earlier on Monday.

There's a bit of a bizarre ending to the match as first what appeared to be a match-winning ace by Murray is called long before Duckworth then challenges a line call but the ball is in and Murray goes through to the second round.

Duckworth can't return Murray's serve and the two-time champion is 40-15 up and on the brink of victory...

It's tie-break time for Heather Watson as Tamara Korpatsch holds.

Murray takes the first point of Duckworth's service game as the Australian sends his backhand return down the line into the net.

Could this be Murray's chance? He thinks it could be and he flashes his teeth before letting out another "come on" as he gets two break points.

Duckworth pulls one back but a double fault gives Murray the break and this could be the turning point in this tight set.

A straightforward hold to love for Murray, rounding it off with another ace. Four games all, on we go...
