    With more than 400 acres of diverse habitat including upland woods, river bottom forests, wetlands, and savannah areas, Beaver Creek Reserve is home to a multitude of flora and fauna. Our nature reserve is bordered by the Eau Claire River and two trout streams that run through the property.

    ADMISSION

    Members of Beaver Creek: FREE
    Non-members: $8 admission for adults
    $5 for children (ages 2-15, children under age 2 are FREE)

    The Wise Nature Center is your starting point for exploring the Reserve. Tour exhibits, say hello to our animal ambassadors, and more!

    Now is the best time to plant your milkweed seeds! The cooler weather helps the seeds establish by cold stratification and break dormancy before spring. Don't have milkweed seeds? Buy them from our Nature Store, or collect some next time you adventure outside!

    Start your hike around our North trails and stop for a detour at Big Falls! Pick up a trail map or download one before you go and visit two great local landmarks in one afternoon hike. This is a great way to see the fall colors!

    Hobbs Observatory has Saturday night public observing through the end October! Volunteers from the Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society will be in the Observatory field pointing out constellations and offering views through telescopes 2 hours after sunset and will run for 2 hours.
