There are now just days to go until the biggest event in Northern Ireland’s grocer calendar.

And the 2024 Grocery Aid Grocers Ball at the Culloden Hotel & Spa on May 24 is almost sold out.

The event will host over 370 guests who will enjoy an evening of exquisite food, celebration and live entertainment, with an extensive range of prizes up for grabs – all for a fantastic cause.

Organised in aid of Grocery Aid by key representatives from across the industry, the event is the industry’s premier night, where the Belfast Telegraph Grocer Marketing Award winners are also recognised.

Each year the evening is rounded off with the distribution of the famous Grocers Ball hampers to guests. Sponsored by Henderson Wholesale, the hampers contain a wide variety of food, drink & household items donated generously by a wide range of Northern Ireland fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) businesses.

Organisers say the event wouldn’t be possible without its sponsors, including title sponsor Freixenet Copestick, available at Drinks Inc.

Shane McNally, country manager at Freixenet Copestick, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsors for such an important event and to add to our work with Grocery Aid in Great Britain.

"The charity helps, in so many ways, those in our industry. More important than ever post pandemic and in the midst of a cost of living crisis supports like these are absolutely essential and invaluable.”

Other Gold sponsors include Coca Cola Hellenic, DFDS, Henderson Wholesale, Hinch Distillery, Hovis, Isle of Man Creamery, Kerry Foods, Pilgrim Foods, Moet Hennessy, Musgrave, Sainsbury’s, SHS, Tesco and Travel Department.
