Almost £140,000 has been spent in Northern Ireland on a Government scheme which relocates pets from war-torn Ukraine.

War broke out in the area in February 2022 after Russian forces invaded Ukraine through Belarus, Russia and Crimea. It followed years of conflict in the east of the country between its government-backed forces and Russia-backed separatists.
