Irish tricolours and Palestinian flags were torn down during a Mini Twelfth parade in Glengormley on Tuesday evening.
There was a police presence in the area during the parade, which took place from 7.30pm.
Images captured from the incident show onlookers holding an Irish tricolour - while other footage shows Irish tricolours and Palestinian flags being torn down from lampposts.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: "Police received a report of the theft of a number of flags from the Church Road area of Newtownabbey on Tuesday 25th June. Enquiries are ongoing."
A large crowd of onlookers gathered to watch the parade as it passed through the area.
