The Londoner, hotel in London

The Londoner features a stunning guest-only club, six concept restaurants and bars including a rooftop lounge, a spa with pool, gym, superfood clinic and beauty salon.

Location was perfect (Leicester Square) for everything we wanted to do. The hotel in all areas was stylish and welcoming. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient in all areas. There were a good selection of areas - quiet space in the Residence, a busier but comfortable bar area near reception and other bars, spa facilities etc. We didn't eat in Whitcomb's restaurant other than breakfast but that gave us an excellent range of continental and cooked food. Room was comfortable and facilities were good. We stayed at the Hampshire (next door) a few times and watched the Londoner being built so it was an ambition to try it and it was definitely a good decision to do that.

London Eye

I spy with my little eye, something beginning with ... L. Get a god’s-eye view of London atop this giant Ferris Wheel on the South Bank. The glass pods hold up to twenty-five people per pod and were designed to represent each of London's 32 boroughs. Infinitely popular, it does exactly as it claims – it takes you up, then it takes you down!

somewhat underwhelming. if you don't get the fast track option expect around a 30 min wait. views are surprisingly obstructed on the opposite side of the Thames - couldn't even see the gherkin! I did expect it to be far more spectacular than what it was.

Great value for money. Room was spacious and super clean. We even had a view of the London eye from our bed. The was charging facilities for our phones which was great to not have to worry about adapters for charging. The hotel is in a really beautiful part of Waterloo, that felt really clean and safe. There were food markets everyday on the street. We walked to the train station everyday to catch the underground.
