About The Event

It is the pinnacle of British International bowls, as players from across the British Isles met for the British Bowls Championships from Wednesday 26th June – Thursday 27th June and British Bowls International Series from Friday 28th June – Sunday 30th June. Hosted by England this year, bowlers from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Jersey came together to compete on one of the biggest stages in international bowls at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa.

The British Bowls Championships are the National Champions from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Jersey all coming together to compete against one another to be crowned British Isles champion.

The British Bowls International Series is slightly different as each competing nation, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Jersey will select their international team based on last seasons performances and trials at the start of this season. Each nation then play a number of formats against the other home nations.

Live Scoring

Live scoring was available across all matches, on all days of the British Bowls Championships and International Series. Click below to see the breakdown of the scores across each session of each day.

Formats and Scoring

Taking the lead from World Bowls, there was a format change at this year’s Internationals to include all disciplines being executed by 15 player teams across both the men’s and women’s event.

Every international match saw action across a full green, with each session featuring either three singles and three fours matches, or three pairs and three triples matches, with the score on each of the six rinks contributing to the overall result.

This will maintain the traditional home nation rivalries, mean each nation fields one team per gender and will conjure up some great battles amongst the top British players. Over the three days, there were be 10 sessions of play and 20 international matches, so plenty of top-class bowls that fans enjoyed.

Please find the formats and scoring for both the British Bowls Championships and International Series below.
