General Election 2024

Voters across Bristol and the UK went to the polls to elect their MPs to the House of Commons at the General Election on Thursday, July 4, 2024. The Labour Party won in a landslide victory with Sir Keir Starmer becoming Prime Minister and Angela Rayner made deputy Prime Minister. The Conservatives suffered big losses and Rishi Sunak resigned as party leader following the results.
