Sad news comes from Belgium. Long-time canoeing official and ICF honorary member John Leukemans passed away at the age of 93. He was named honorary member of the ICF in 2004, he was also honorary president of the Antverpia Royal Canoe Club.
We would like to express sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace.
The 2024 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships in Poznan, Poland, came to an end with the last four medal events of this competition week. The final European Champion titles went to the hands of athletes from Spain, Denmark, Poland and Portugal.

Saturday's programme at the 2024 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships in Poznan was dedicated to senior individual events and two junior events. Favourites of senior events Babak, Campos, Kiszli and Pedersen did it again and enriched their medals collection with another European Champion titles.
