Census Bureau to Embargo New Population Estimates by Age, Sex, Race and Hispanic Origin

JUNE 11, 2024 — The U.S. Census Bureau will offer a 2-day embargo period for qualified media to view Vintage 2023 Population Estimates for the nation, states and counties by age, sex, race and Hispanic origin, and for Puerto Rico and its municipios by age and sex. Age, sex, race and Hispanic origin estimates will also be available for metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas for the first time.
When:
Tuesday, June 25, at 10 a.m. EDT to Thursday, June 27, at 12:01 a.m. EDT.
Where:
Census Bureau’s embargo site.
Interview requests:
Embargo subscribers may interview Census Bureau experts during the embargo period. To request an interview, email <[email protected]>.
Obtain media embargo access:
Visit the Census Bureau’s embargo site to register for embargo access.
The embargoed information may not be published, broadcast, posted online, distributed via wire and distribution services or shared until the public release date and time (Thursday, June 27, at 12:01 a.m. EDT).
