Our Story

Colectivo Rokunin was formed in 2019 in Coscomatepec, Veracruz, Mexico. Different minds came together to shape what months later became our debut (and still ongoing!) project: The Flowers of the Coffee Field.

Over the last twenty years our members have worked in vibrant art, design, landscape and community projects. We formed our collective because we realized that together we are stronger, and that together we can help make the world a better place for all beings.

In these two amazing years we have been able to reach and connect people. We have made art and landscape a little more accessible for some. We have formed incredible collaborations. We have learned from all.

We are grateful and ready to keep working!

Why Rokunin?

Our Collective name comes from the Japanese word Rokunin: Six people. When the moment came, we decided on this name to honor our first six Founding Members, all Mexican.

We knew that more members were to follow, and we are excited that they have!
