Two cars burst into flames after a crash in Cornwall this morning (Friday, May 17). Emergency services were called to the A394 near the Cornish town of Marazion at 10.15am.

Police, fire crews and paramedics rushed to the scene and a full road closure was put in place. A man was taken to Treliske Hospital for treatment but his injuries are not believed to be serious.

At the time of writing (11.15am), the A394 remains shut in both directions between the Newtown Roundabout and Marazion. Motorists should avoid the area while the closure is in place.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 10.15am today, 17 May, following a two vehicle collision on the A394 near Marazion, Cornwall. Both cars caught fire as a result of the collision.

"Fire and ambulance are in attendance. One man has been taken to Treliske Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be serious at this time. The road is closed at Newtown Roundabout and at Marazion."
