Boxing star Gervonta Davis expecting second child with Vanessa Posso after she dropped domestic violence allegations against him

Boxer Gervonta Davis is going to be a dad for the third time.

His girlfriend, Vanessa Posso, revealed she's pregnant with the couple's second child in a sweet social media post on Father's Day.

The controversial fighter, who has a history of alleged violence, also shares a child with ex-girlfriend, Andretta Smothers.

'Baby G 2.0,' Posso captioned one Instagram post, which showed her daughter Giovanna Thalia wearing a t-shirt that read, 'In my big sister era.'

She also shared a series of clips from a maternity shoot, which highlighted her growing bump.

'Life lately,' she wrote in the caption.

Fans were quick to point out that the news came just one year after she accused Davis of domestic abuse.

The influencer, who retracted her claims five months later, may have subtly addressed the commentary with some cryptic quotes on her Instagram Story.

'No one talks about how having children literally changes your perspective on everything,' one quote read.

'You have no desire to impress people or fit in. Negative things people think or say don't matter anymore.'

She also wrote, 'The little family that you created, is the best team you could ever have.'

The following December, he was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge after allegedly striking her with a 'closed hand-type slap' and leaving her with an abrasion on her lip, according to a Broward County Sheriff's Office incident report.

However, Posso later walked back the severity of the incident, claiming they were 'both at fault' for the spat.

'These past days have been hurtful, and extremely exhausting for all parties involved,' she wrote on social media at the time. 'The state of our relationship has been in a fragile space and Gervonta and I were both at fault for the argument.'

She went on, 'While the emotions were running high I made an unnecessary call to law enforcement at an intense moment while I was frantic. Gervonta did not harm me or our daughter.

'Today, we have sought the help necessary to move forward with our lives. I am confident that we will succeed within our co-parenting dynamic with the counselling provided to us.'

Davis, for his part, broke his silence in an Instagram post denying the accusation.

'I NEVER PUT MY HANDS ON MY CHILD MOTHER NOR MY F***ING DAUGHTER ARE YOU F****** CRAZY!!' Davis wrote. 'I'M NOT A MONSTER.'

The lightweight champion previously surrendered to Florida police after he grabbed the throat of his ex-girlfriend, Smothers, at a charity basketball game in 2020.

He has also faced assault charges, which were later dropped, in 2017 after reportedly punching a childhood friend in the head.

He was then accused of getting into a fight with a man at a mall in Virginia and was charged with disorderly conduct after a street brawl in 2018.
