Enquiries are underway following a hit and run involving a deer.
Police were called to Louviers Road in Littlemoor this morning after the driver of a car which hit a deer failed to stop.
Officers are now making enquiries to locate the driver.
Dorset Council, the local authority has been informed.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “At 9.29am on Friday, June 21, we received a report of a collision involving a car and a deer on Louviers Road in the Littlemoor area of Weymouth.
“It is reported that the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene. Officers attended to deal with the situation, and enquiries are being made to locate the driver. The local authority has been notified.”
