There are several important public information notices for communities in Norfolk to be aware of this week. 

1. Joys

Norwich City Council has received a licensing application for a members club in Sprowston Road in Norwich.

Called Joys, the pool club would comprise of up to six pool tables and may also include some dart boards.

The application states the club would open from 10.30am to 11pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and from 10.30am to midnight on Saturday and Sunday.

Members of the public have until May 30 to comment on the application. 

2. Goods Vehicle Operator's Licence

Anglian Water Services Ltd is applying to change an existing licence to keep extra goods vehicles and trailer at the Volvo Truck & Bus Centre South & East operating centre in Frensham Road in Norwich.

Owners or occupiers of land near the site who believe that their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected should write to the Traffic Commissioner and send a copy to Anglian Water Services Ltd.

3. Claims to the estate of Maurice George Whiterod

Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Maurice George Whiterod of Tuttles Lane West in Wymondham, who died on March 8, is asked to send a written notice to the address below on or before July 2. 

After this date, the estate will be distributed as per the notices received.

4. Footbridge closure

Norwich Road and High Street in Coltishall will close to traffic between May 13 and May 17.

A Norfolk County Council spokesman said that the plywood decks on the village's footbridge have reached the end of their lifespan and must be replaced with an alternative.

During the closure, drivers are being asked to follow the official diversion out to the Aylsham bypass and back through North Walsham to rejoin the B1150.

5. White Lion Steps

White Lion Steps, Cliff Hill, Upper Cliff Road and Beach Road in Gorleston will be closed from May 20 to September 6 to restore and fully reopen White Lion Steps to the public.

White Lion Steps, which connect Cliff Hill and Beach Road, have been partially blocked for several years due to a landslip in 2012.

The restoration work will involve rebuilding the collapsed retaining wall, relocating a water main and reopening the steps to the public.

Diversions will be in place during the work which is set to cost £600,000.
