Fire breaks out in Markopoulo, eastern Attica

A fire broke out in Markopoulo, eastern Attica, spreading through low vegetation on Wednesday. It remained unclear if nearby homes were at risk.
Responding to the scene, 65 firefighters with 23 fire engines were combating the blaze. They were backed by two water-dropping planes and two helicopters.
