When a couple has a week where one of them launches a national comeback tour and the other defeats a legion of White Walkers to protect Winterfell, there's really only one way to celebrate: Leave the Billboard Music Awards early, hit your JUUL, and get hitched. That's exactly what happened Wednesday night when Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner left the BBMAs after the Jonas Brothers' performance for a quick Vegas wedding.
According to People, the couple took off to Chapel L’Amour inside A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas to make things official. Now here's where the MadLib becomes completely unhinged: the whole thing was documented on Diplo's Instagram story. The more you watch, the more bananas this whole thing gets. The Jonas Brothers were all prepped and ready to go in suits, and then apparently they snatched Dan + Shay from the audience to perform "Speechless" as Turner walked down the Vegas aisle to be married by an Elvis impersonator.
At that point, I guess Diplo had to bounce because as his Instagram story indicated, he had a 1 a.m. set to play at an after party. Dan + Shay were presumably returned to their seats, and then the show had to go on. Lifestyles of the rich and the famous, you know?
The Jonas weddings have offered a nice variety of ways you might want to get married in this modern age. If you don't have access to a quick Vegas affair with Dan + Shay, then perhaps you'd be down for an extravagant affair with hundreds of guests, documented by drones, and carried out over a three-day celebration? Or maybe you want to be like Kevin and get married in a church, but who does that any more?
Either way, raise a glass of hockey game wine and chug the whole thing in celebration of the newlyweds and pray that Sansa makes it to the Iron Throne to rule alongside her beau Joe.
