A man was left seriously injured after being glassed on the dance floor of a nightclub in Essex. Police have appealed for witnesses after the man was attacked in Rubix nightclub in Colchester at the end of last month.

The man, aged in his 40s, was on the dancefloor at the club in Crouch Street at around 12.30am on Saturday, April 27. He was struck on the side of his head by a woman holding a drinking glass. He sustained cuts to his temple area.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "The nightclub was busy and we’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault taking place on the dancefloor. If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
