Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)
A madcap romp where half of it doesn't make sense, but a couple of one-liners are really good and the return of the old guys is a real treat. Hugh Jackman as we love him and surprisingly in super form again. I wouldn't go for it again, but kudos to Shawn Levy for his wholesomely politically incorrect, at times pretty wacky style and awesome action flick.

One Life (2023)
Schindler's List is for less artistically ambitious viewers who don't like to watch the authentic, explicitly violent horrors of World War II, and are content with a sentimental piano, a few costume retro flashbacks and the musings of a brooding Anthony Hopkins to interpret it. The ending is poignant, the depiction of the Czech meadows and groves is endearing, including the authentic Czech language, but the film is overall bland and made-for-TV style.

Hiljainen paikka: Päivä yksi (2024)
A film that doesn't work in terms of content. Not only is the script woefully uninteresting, with no drive or shift from A to Z, but it doesn't work very well as an attempt at a drama about a sick girl who wants to say goodbye to life with dignity, much less as an alien survival. The few interesting shots and the great sound arrangement don't save it. An unnecessary sequel that doesn't do much justice to its two predecessors. Lupita Nyong’o’s performance is nevertheless amazing, and I'd like to see her acting in a more dramatically coherent film with a systematic concept and clear identity, one that will entertain more and communicate things better.
