Thomas R. Pickering

THOMAS PICKERING is Distinguished Fellow in Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution. He has served in a number of diplomatic roles, including U.S. Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs (1997–2000), U.S. Ambassador to Russia (1993–96), and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations (1989–92).
