Some Israelis support an invasion of Lebanon as Hezbollah's rockets pound north

Exchanges of fire between Hezbollah in Lebanon and Israel have been escalating for several weeks. On Wednesday, Israel reported more than 215 rockets fell in its north, a record since 8 October 2023, the date when Hezbollah joined the war between Hamas in Gaza and Israel. Northern Israel has been largely emptied of its civilians, with tens of thousands displaced. But after eight months of war, many Israelis now want a land invasion of southern Lebanon.
