A Step Back in Time - Christmas 2021

I know you probably think you are seeing things, but I thought we would step back in time as I hadn’t shown you any of my Christmas 2021 pics! So I thought…Better late then Never and here they are…

Sorry about the Pictures

The quality is terrible as I have taken them on my Ipone! ha ha I mean Iphone 8, which is like an antique these days! I always get the hand me downs as I am too tight to purchase the exorbitant prices or get a contract lol! I have recently realised though, that if I take them on Freddy’s new tablet I can transfer them by ‘Air’ (Who Knew!) so I think that is the way I will do it in future…or I might revert back to my camera! I’ll have to dust it off though! I can’t even remember where it is! Oh God! I’ll be looking for that for about 3 weeks now! 🙂

Look at my darling little Bella, she is a cavachon, which is a King Charles Spaniel mixed with a Bichon Frise…She is such a Cheeky lil thing! I think Freddy would call this look ‘resting bitch face’ lol! (does anyone use ‘lol’ anymore?) She is looking over at him in this picture I know that! She really does make our family complete, she is a little mare at times and likes to bark when it gets dark, you know, when everyone is asleep and when you really need to be quiet…Oh yeah she loves to do that with a passion!

She also knows that I am the leader of the pack, what I say goes! she knows I mean business and that I can move quick! But she makes Freddy work for it, because she knows that he can’t get to her as quick in his wheelchair. Oh don’t get me wrong she loves him and everything, while he’s doing Her Majesty’s work! say like tummy tickles, massages and feeding her, but when he needs to get her in from the garden, she totally ignores him! lol! (I’ve decided I still like writing lol! Just putting it out there 🙂 ) He has tried everything, even waving bits of ham out of the door :)) I have only got to say ‘I’ll get the hose’ and she comes running in straight away, because she knows I will! 🙂

Oh dear ‘ark at me going on a bit aren’t I…

Now where was I? Oh yes Christmas pictures… Well I hope you like them, I think there is 17 in all! I am not going to say that I have my mojo back because that always ends in me not writing another post for ages. But what I will say is that I am feeling a lot better in myself, there is still a lot to do in this house of ours and whilst I wasn’t feeling it last year, nothing got done and previous years; Well I just threw myself into the garden, so there is a lot of projects to do and I really feel like I want to share my life with you again!…and whilst we are on that subject…Thank you so much for hanging around and waiting for me to get my head straight ( I am blowing a virtual kiss to you all xx) a lot of you on Facebook, Instagram and on my blog here have really kept me going…much more than you could ever imagine…so thank you all from the bottom of my heart x.

A few things have changed here on the blog lately…

You might have noticed that I have added a shop on my blog here and just lately I have added a few bits and pieces! I have bought so much stuff and I have been buying for buyings sake…I think sometimes it’s good therapy to get out and about and take you’re mind off things that would otherwise drive you CrAzY lol!, so please keep checking in and visit out my shop page when you can. I hope to bring you plenty of Happy House cheer.

Mobiles are working Better Now

Hopefully you will be able to check out my blog on you’re phone’s and tablets now…apparently there was a problem and I only just found out a few days ago! There is still a problem with small text but I hope to sort that out again soon, so please keep coming back and also tell you’re friends that I am back too (please xx) Perhaps even add my link to you’re blogs if you have one and I will do the same as I now have an old fashioned blog list at the top…check it out 🙂

DO YOU STILL HAVE THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

Sorry I haven't been posting on hear for a little while again... I have just been super busy and as I said before, not really in the mood for Christmas at all...I just can't get in the spirit of things...However rather than hosting the main event at our house, we are now all going over to my Mother in Laws home in Essex...I know it will be a bit of a drive, but I really couldn't face all the work this year, especially as I have felt so downtrodden lately.

These winter blues are not going away too quickly and I just can't seem to focus on anything much...I used to be such an enthusiastic creative type of person...but i seem to have no hobbies at the moment and everything seems such a chore...let's hope it is just a blip and I can achieve everything that I want to in the New Year! I suppose the answer to that is to not set myself such high goals...dont have a list as long as my arm so to speak...otherwise that will put the cat amoungst the pigeons!

I hope all of you are keeping well and having a Jolly build up to Christmas...I often think that it is the build up that is the best bit...even though I am a bit of a 'bah humbug' at the moment! going out and hustling and bustling in the crowds to by Chrimbo pressies...wrapping them up, going out for drinks with friends, watching Christmas movies on the telly...can all be so exciting...

I think unless you have children in the house though, the christmas spirit kinda dies...I have been searching for that Christmas spirit for years now...and wondering whether I will ever find it again! Memories of childhood can bring it back into your mind for a while and also when my kids where little...ahh that is when it is so lovely, because afterall isn't that, what it is all about!...seeing the hapiness in their little faces...

When they get a bit older...all it gets to be is WANT WANT WANT...and then the Christmas Spirit is lost again...it's a viscious circle...

But Hey Ho...don't listen to me...

More Yuletide Decorating

Well as I said before, these Christmas decorations were put up back in October and I did ask you all for your opinion on Facebook whether I should keep them all up until Christmas or take them down!...and most of you seemed to agree for me to keep them up! and we did for about 10 days...but I did get a bit fed up with them and although I knew it would be a BIG job, I did decide to take them all down.

We usually have them up for my Birthday, which is the 2nd of December, but I know they will not be up by then this year...what with all the commotions that we have had to deal with! lol!

I am not going to put up as many either! I have bought a twig tree for the green metal table, (that we bought back from France) it is quite small, but already has lights on it...hopefully I will be able to do something creative with that.

Once you put a few lights and pretty cards up... light a few candles, it feels Christmassy here anyway, especially with a glass or two of mulled wine in the evenings! lol! Hic!...anyway...I will be adding more pictures, when I have them up! that I am sure.

I also have a new camera...its only a little cheapy to tide me over, but camera's have come on so much lately, it is actually better (apart from the fact it isn't a Nikon! :( ) It is a samsung and it is white...so it looks lovely and I have been able to take pictures in the evening! they really look good! I always seemed to get an orangey glow before...but this little lovely has a tungsten light setting and I am able to send the pictures wirelessly to my computer! Do I sound SAD!!

...because although I take pictures like this and create graphics like that...I do not have a smart phone, a tablet or a Kindle! Yep I sure think that all of these new mod cons are passing me by! I would so love to have instagram...but apparently you cannot have it unless you have a smart phone! believe me! I tried to download it to my computer and had no luck...or is that just me!

I suppose part of me is content with what I do have!...as long as it works...I can send something from A to B through an email and I am able to take my pictures and upload them to my computer...and that! I am Happy!

I do have plenty of silly technology moments though!...to many to list here and remember to be honest...I should write them all down at the end of each day so I can remember them! but I'll have a go here :-

1. I have slotted my card in to the crack of the chip and pin machine and not the
actual card reader!

2. I have tried to type my pin number on the advert at the cash
machine and not the actual keypad!

3. My new camera has a very short lead, but you can take this out of the plug to upload pictures to your computer...I didn't realize this and placed my computer near to the floor of the plug socket!...on a plus side I did realize this as soon as I tried it Doh!

So you get my drift!

Happy and Quirky Vintage Christmas Decor…

Happy Christmas Everyone…I have been thinking of you all and have been trying to get the time to blog a bit more often, which I am hoping too after I get January and perhaps even February out of the way! Famous last words! What have you all been up to?

As you know I have been helping my Mum find a new forever home nearer me and it has taken nearly 6 months in all…she finally now has a moving date which will be just at the end of January 2017, which will also coincide with all the work being done at our house….new wet room and lift work to start on January 3rd! I am beginning to wonder whether I will survive it all!

At least when all the work is done we will be able to add our Happy House style to our now 1 year old forever home…you know, adding those cosy home touches, like shelves and pictures to the walls (I can’t wait!) and also moving my Mum over to her new modern garden flat…she finally has her own private garden…so there should be many a Happy Home post coming your way next year!

Thank you all for being so patient with me…I know how you all love a Happy Update 🙂 and they have been very sparse of late…

So whilst I sign off for another year…I will take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and Wonderful New Year. I truly do hope you all have a brilliant time.
