What was initially a plan for a Star Wars film rejected by Disney seems to have transformed into the worst flop in the career of director and writer Zack Snyder, as the recently released Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, the sequel to Rebel Moon, is once again panned by critics, with the ratings listing it as Snyder’s worst movie – yes, worse than even the horrible Sucker Punch and the first part of Rebel Moon.
But, it seems that this won’t be stopping Snyder from expanding his franchise, as per the most recent reports. We know that Snyder and his writers are currently working on the script for a third movie if Netflix decides to make it, but a new project is coming sooner than expected and in a very unexpected format.
But, aside from this, we’d also like to report that the fans are not too happy about this,...

Despite the film having been shot in 2016 prior to Donald Trump’s electoral college win, at the time of its premiere in 2017 at the Toronto International Film Festival “The Death of Stalin” was immediately hailed as a finger-on-the-pulse political satire. How could it not be? Coming from Armando Iannucci, one of the great humorists of his generation, known for capturing government in all of its obscene clumsiness in the U.K. with “The Thick of It” and “In the Loop,” as well as across the pond in the U.S. with the hit TV series “Veep,” “The Death of Stalin” marked the first time the writer/director took on actual history.
Based on the French graphic novel, “La Mort de Staline,” the film is a comedic interpretation of the social and political power struggle that followed the death of Russian leader Joseph Stalin in 1953. Featuring an all-star cast that includes Steve Buscemi,...

For every Potterhead, the magic of Jk Rowling’s Harry Potter universe extends far beyond the silver screen. While we have cherished every spell, potion, and enchanted item from the franchise, there are still hidden treasures to be discovered. One such gem is Tom Felton’s deleted scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

During an interview with E! News, Tom Felton recalled the fascinating Harry Potter scene that was left on the cutting room floor, despite its importance to the storyline. Considering how the scrapped scene offered a deeper look into the sinister dynamics of the Malfoy family, Felton believed it was crucial to the film. But unfortunately, things weren’t in his hands.

Who knew that the Harry Potter franchise would have an influence over supervising director Dave Filoni for Star Wars: The Clone Wars? Well, that is exactly what happened in 2011.
A still from Star Wars: The Clone Wars | Disney+
The Harry Potter franchise had numerous villains over the years. From Professor Quirrell to Barty Crouch Jr., the villains were many. Amongst them, however, Jason Isaacs shined in the role of Lucius Malfoy.

Zack Snyder’s reputation as a filmmaker has become very divisive since his tenure in the DC universe. While he has loyal fans, many do not enjoy his unique take on beloved IPs and characters. The director tried his hand at Star Wars-inspired sci-fi with the two Rebel Moon films on Netflix.

Steven Spielberg once hinted at turning a new leaf in his career, exchanging his wand for a quill—but why would the man whose name is practically a golden marquee for landmark cinema, shift from the magnificent to the mundane? Has the Pied Piper of the silver screen, synonymous with welcoming audiences through jaw-dropping escapes, truly hinted at bidding adieu to the franchises that have become his calling card?

Jason Isaacs played the emotionally manipulative and ever-calculating Lucious Malfoy, the father of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films. The two have a very complicated relationship over the films as Draco tries to live up to his father’s legacy while failing to do so. Isaac’s first appearance in the franchise was in 2002’s Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Attorney-turned-selling novelist Scott Turow made the cover of Time magazine the summer of 1990 describing him as the “Bard of the Litigious Age.” And 34 years later, the 75-year-old still is. Over the past four decades, Turow has written 13 works of fiction which have been translated into 40 languages and have sold more than 30 million copies. Several have been transformed into miniseries and TV movies.
In fact, Hollywood filmmakers were salivating in 1987 for the rights to Turow’s first novel, “Presumed Innocent,” a clever, sexy murder mystery with twists and turns that would baffle even Columbo, about a prosecutor accused of murdering the attractive colleague with whom he had been romantically involved “It began a sort of Hollywood frenzy,” Turow told me in a 1992 L.A. Times interview. “It was one weekend’s madness.” And for good reason, the novel spent 44 weeks on the New York Times best-seller list and another five months on the paperback charts.

This article contains spoilers for The Boys season 4 episode 4.
It’s not looking good for Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher on The Boys, with the season 3 finale warning fans that the foul-mouthed cockney has only 12-18 months to live (if he’s lucky). With Butcher being the backbone of the series and leader of the titular Boys, we were worried that we’d be going into the fifth and final season without Billy by our side. Don’t worry though, because season 4 episode 4 might have just given him a new lease of life.
It doesn’t take the intellect of Sister Sage to figure out something’s not right with Butcher but “Wisdom of the Ages” introduces a potential get-out-of-jail-free card. We saw the side effects of Butcher injecting Temp V in season 3, leaving him with an inoperable brain tumor. While it all seems pretty finite, and Butcher himself claims...

In Alexander Payne's recent dramedy "The Holdovers," the Oscar-nominated Paul Giamatti played a grumpy (but charismatic) teacher, largely hated by the student body. It seems that the students of Starfleet Academy are about to hate him even more, as — according to a new report from Variety — the actor has been cast as the central villain of the upcoming "Starfleet Academy" TV series. The Variety report says that Giamatti will serve as an as-yet unnamed recurring antagonist throughout the "Star Trek" show's first season, and that his character will have "a sinister connection to the past of one of the (yet to be cast) cadets." Variety didn't specify if he'd be playing a human or another alien species.
Speculation may now commence. Will he be playing a bitter former professor? An escaped convict and serial killer who just happens to be the father of one of the main characters? A charismatic cult leader,...

Jackie Chan taking the mic and performing a rendition of Elvis Presley’s hit song Can’t Help Falling in Love was something the studio audiences of Howie Mandel never imagined. Most interestingly, he didn’t fumble words while singing as he did with his lines in the English language films. Even years after this soulful rendition, fans keep discovering Chan’s secret talent.

Walton Goggins, who’s among the major cast additions to the upcoming third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, is staying mum about the details of his character or storyline, but he is sharing his thoughts on the experience.
“It’s all very meta on every level,” Goggins told the Los Angeles Times in a recent interview. “We’re guests checking into a hotel playing guests checking into a hotel. We spend all this time together, whether we like it or not, eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. We work where we stay. I went to a lot of the places where we’re filming now, the same streets and sandy beaches,” he said. “I have come so far in my life and been healed on a number of levels. I am so grateful for this moment and the path I’ve been walking.”

Landing a role in season three of The White Lotus still feels surreal for Walton Goggins.
The actor recently opened up to the Los Angeles Times about the ups and downs throughout his acting career, as well as the moment he learned he got the role in Mike White’s Emmy-winning HBO series.
“They said, ‘Before we do anything, we have to tell you something,” Goggins recalled of a conversation with his agents. “You just got an offer for The White Lotus, and it’s a very good role.’ I said, ‘Could you say that again?’ They said, ‘Mike wants you.’”
He continued, “I said, ‘Could you excuse me a minute?’ I walked outside and I start bawling. Crying uncontrollably. I called my wife (Nadia Conners), shaking, and she said, ‘I fucking knew it!’ When we were watching it one time, she had said, ‘Why don’t you do The White Lotus?...

The television industry has always been a fiercely competitive environment, and in an era of content overload, it has become absolutely ruthless: any show that fails to deliver the ratings expected of it is easily canceled, regardless of the long-term plans of its showrunners.
One such victim was Awake, a thrilling sci-fi mystery starring The Oa's Jason Isaacs that aired on NBC in 2012.
What is Awake About?
Awake was a project with one of the most intriguing premises of its time: an ordinary police detective Michael Britten gets into a car accident with his family – wife Hannah and son Rex. After the accident, Michael's son survives. However, the next morning the main character wakes up and finds out that his wife survived the accident, and it was his son who died.
Detective Britten finds himself in two parallel universes, in each of which only one member of his family survived.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire."
The fate of the fallen Jedi Barriss Offee (voiced by Meredith Salenger) has been an enduring mystery after "The Clone Wars" season 5 finale, and the green Mirialan's tumultuous history made her ripe for a continued story in the "Star Wars" universe. Disgruntled by the Jedi Order's involvement in the Clone Wars, the then-padawan bombed the Jedi Temple and framed her bestie Ahsoka Tano (voiced by Ashley Eckstein). Said treachery instigated Ahsoka's departure from the Jedi Order, highlighting the spread of disillusionment within the Order.
As the supervising director of "Clone Wars," Dave Filoni nearly killed off Barriss, but then he cut the scene where she commits a suicide bombing in her Republic jail cell. Considering the lengths Filoni went to keep a secret of "Star Wars Rebels" from the crew, a league of Barriss Truthers saw her as...

This Star Trek: Discovery review contains spoilers.
Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Episode 4
Time travel has been a staple of science fiction ever since the genre was invented. And Star Trek has always been curious about the concept—from the basic rules of how it works to the widespread impact caused by the tiniest of changes to history. From The Original Series’ classic “The City on the Edge of Forever” to Strange New Worlds’ more recent Lower Decks crossover “Those Old Scientists”, the franchise is full of time travel stories. But Star Trek: Discovery has played around with the concept more than most, from season 1’s Harry Mudd episode “Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad” to the headache (and potentially paradox) inducing Red Angel plot that saw the Discovery launched hundreds of years into the future at the end of season 2.

Of all the roles Tom Felton has taken on to date, his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter saga will continue to be remembered as one of his best performances ever. But despite such a remarkable embodiment of the character that had fans loving him in that respective role, the 36-year-old actor has some serious regrets related to the same nonetheless.
Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy.
To be more precise, there is one scene from The Boy Who Lived’s saga that could have delivered the true respect that his character deserved. However, because of a series of unfortunate events for the young Malfoy, that scene never managed to make it to the final cut for the film and eventually transformed into one of Felton’s biggest regrets related to Potter’s Wizarding World.

The voice actor chosen for a beloved villain in Avatar: The Last Airbender was originally picked because he reminded the creators of another iconic villainous performance.
It’s pretty amazing, how the casting director for Avatar: The Last Airbender actually got Jason Isaacs to voice Zhao! This wasn’t just about getting a famous actor; it meant getting the exact person who inspired the character. Isaacs’ performance really captures Zhao’s ruthlessness, making him a serious threat to Aang and his friends.
Commander Zhao in Avatar: The Last Airbender

Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter series...

Voice actors always have an important role to play in animated media franchises. Their job is to express the emotions that their characters are feeling only with their voices and it requires an incredible amount of skill and perfection to be able to do it consistently.

As Yoda himself once said, "Always two there are, no more, no less… A master and an apprentice." That might now apply to animated anthologies that tie into other in-universe Star Wars stories, because following 2022's Tales Of The Jedi, we now have its dark twin, Tales Of The Empire. Check out the trailer for the new series:
Created and written once again by Dave Filoni (who also serves as supervising director), this, as the title might lead you to believe, features stories from the point of view of the Galactic Empire. We follow two warriors on divergent paths in different eras. One, Morgan Elsbeth channels the loss of everything and everyone she loves into a seething anger that offers the Imperial forces (especially Lars Mikkelsen's Thrawn) something they can exploit.
There is also former Jedi Barriss Offee (Meredith Salenger) who is forced to do whatever it takes to survive a rapidly changing galaxy.

There are two sides to every story, but nothing is ever really black and white, good versus evil, or even Jedi versus Empire.
Disney+ animated series “Star Wars: Tales of the Empire,” the follow-up to 2022’s “Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi,” centers on the rise of the Galactic Empire. The six-episode show follows two warriors on divergent paths, set during different eras: After losing everything, young Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) navigates the expanding Imperial world toward a path of vengeance, per the official synopsis, while former Jedi Barriss Offee (Meredith Salenger) does what she must to survive a rapidly changing galaxy. Lucasfilm has revealed the first teaser trailer for "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire." Though not exactly a season 2, per se, this serves as a follow-up to 2022's acclaimed "Tales of the Jedi." That show was a series of animated shorts that focused on two interwoven tales of Jedi at crucial times in their development, namely Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku before he fell to the dark side. Similarly, this new series will be focusing on two different figures within the Empire: Morgan Elsbeth and former Jedi Barriss Offee. Check it out for yourself above.

Sad news for fans of Jonathan Bailey and Felicity Jones – they will no longer be starring in a movie together!
The 35-year-old Bridgerton actor and the 40-year-old Rogue One actress have reportedly both dropped out of the comedy film Maria, according to Variety.
Find out why inside…
The site reports that the movie, from Simon Amstell, was put on pause due to scheduling issues following the strikes in 2023.
Felicity was to lead as Maria, “who was struggling with her age and a difficult relationship with her terminally-ill father. According to the logline, Maria then embarked on a questionable relationship with her stepbrother Raffy.”
Jonathan was going to play her boyfriend, and Jason Isaacs was cast as her father.
Originally set to go into production in 2022, Jonathan was the first to drop out to star in another project, and Felicity eventually pulled out as well.

“Star Trek: Discovery,” the flagship series of Paramount+’s “Star Trek” universe, is heading toward its ending. The series, which premiered in 2017, will premiere its fifth and final season on April 4, closing the book on the adventures of Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and her crew.
A new season also means new challenges for any Starfleet captain, and IndieWire can exclusively share a new clip from the premiere episode that promises a big one for Burnham. On a recovery mission to secure a mysterious ship, Burnham receives information from her crew about signs of life on board. But as her supervisor Kovich coldly reminds her, her mission requires her to neutralize the potential threat “by any means necessary.”

“Between season 1 and season 5 is an entire life.” That’s a real understatement on the part of Sonequa Martin-Green in an interview with Den of Geek magazine, describing the five-season and seven-year journey of her character Michael Burnham, the protagonist of Star Trek: Discovery.
When we first met Burnham way back in 2017, she was the first officer on the USS Shenzhou, a Starfleet ship operating about a decade before the events of The Original Series, and under the command of Captain Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh). By the end of the two-part premiere, Georgiou was dead and Burnham was in prison for mutiny.
Things have certainly changed since then. We begin Discovery‘s fifth and final season with Captain Michael Burnham of the USS Discovery, but adventuring over 900 years after the events of the premiere. Yeah, it’s been a wild journey, one that incurred more than a little criticism early...

Felicity Jones and Jonathan Bailey are no longer attached to star in Simon Amstell’s comedy “Maria,” Variety can confirm.
The movie is currently on pause after cast scheduling issues were followed by last year’s Hollywood strikes, although a source says Amstell is in talks to revive the project, which was first launched at Cannes two years ago.
Jones was set to lead the feature, playing a woman called Maria who was struggling with her age and a difficult relationship with her terminally-ill father. According to the logline, Maria then embarked on a questionable relationship with her stepbrother Raffy.
“Bridgerton’s” Jonathan Bailey was lined up to play Maria’s boyfriend while Jason Isaacs was cast as her father.
