Monday’s Season 26 premiere of The Voice did many things. It introduced nine singers who will be vying for the title. It offered Michael Bublé a seat on the coaching panel. It returned Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire to theirs. But let’s be real. The most important thing that it did was install Snoop Dogg as a coach. And he is, in short, a [bleeping] gift, alternately shrewd and sensitive and, as if we had any doubt that he would be, delightfully funny. “My jaws are hurting,” Reba exclaimed at one point, “I’ve laughed so much.” Read on, and...

We saw the trailer for Salem's Lot earlier today, and we now have a first look at a slightly less intense vampire movie.
Lionsgate has released the first trailer for what's described as a new "comedy thriller" (we'd say horror is more apt) called The Radleys, which was directed by Euros Lyn and written by Talitha Stevenson.
Damian Lewis and Kelly Macdonald star as a married couple with two kids who are hiding a dark secret: they're all undead monsters who must consume blood to survive.
Not exactly the sort of thing one would want spread around the neighbourhood, and the family's seemingly idyllic suburban life is thrown into turmoil when daughter, Clara, gives into her natural impulses and kills a teenager who was sexually assaulting her in the woods.
Desperate to avoid being outed, patriarch Peter decides to call on the help of his twin brother (also played by...

Dublin’s National Wax Museum Plus has pulled its newly unveiled figure of Sinead O’Connor and promised to “create a more accurate representation” of the late Irish singer.
The museum unveiled the original waxwork on Thursday (July 25th) to coincide with the first anniversary of the artist’s death, but the figure was met with swift backlash from the general public and O’Connor’s own family.
O’Connor’s brother, John O’Connor, told RTÉ’s Liveline that he was unaware the wax figure had been commissioned, saying he was “shocked” by the “hideous” figure when he saw it online.
While he was on air, museum director Paddy Dunning (a personal friend of Sinéad’s) apologized to John and promised to make things right. “We have to do better,” he admitted.

Elton John’s long time songwriting partner Bernie Taupin is to be the subject of a new feature length documentary, here are the details.
From their first hit Your Song to a string of classic albums and singles like Tiny Dancer, Rocket Man, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, I’m Still Standing and many, many more, Elton John and Bernie Taupin’s partnership had led to them being one of the most prolific, successful and celebrated songwriting duos in the history of popular music.
They have been showered with every songwriting and music award under the sun, and in 2019 their friendship was wonderfully brought to the big screen in Rocketman, courtesy of director Dexter Fletcher, writer Lee Hall and the wonderful performances of Taron Egerton as John and Jamie Bell as Taupin. Last year, Taupin released his memoir Scattershot, which quickly became a bestseller.

Halsey may be best known for her chart-topping success in the music industry but the Grammy nominated singer-songwriter has been dipping her toes into Hollywood for some time. She had a cameo in Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born, appeared in Cameron Crowe’s rocker series Roadies, voiced a lead role as Porsha Crystal in the animated Sing 2 and starred opposite Sydney Sweeney in Tony Tost’s yet-to-be-released crime-western Americana.
But with MaXXXine — the third and final entry in filmmaker Ti West’s horror trilogy from A24 after X and Pearl — Halsey fully takes the plunge into Tinseltown playing Tabby Martin opposite leading lady Mia Goth’s Maxine Minx. The film centers on Maxine who, as the lone survivor of the bloody massacre on a remote Texas property that played out in the original entry X, sets off for Los Angeles in the mid-1980s to pursue her dreams of big-screen stardom.

Cinema for Gaza, a group launched by a small group of female filmmakers and film journalists, has successfully raised more than $315,000 to support medical aid for the civilian population in Gaza.
A celebrity auction, organized by Cinema for Gaza, and supported by the likes of Tilda Swinton, Annie Lennox, Joaquin Phoenix, Spike Lee and Guillermo del Toro, raised some $316,778 (£254,297) for Medical Aid for Palestinians (Map), a U.K.-based charity that provides on-the-ground medical support, from sterile water to cancer drugs, for those on the Gaza Strip. The celebrities donated personal items — from signed film posters to personal Zoom chats to, in the case of Lennox, the handwritten lyrics to her Eurythmics hit “Sweet Dreams” — to be sold off to the highest bidder. (Lennox’s lyrics sheet was the top seller, with a bidder paying $26,222 for the piece of pop music history).

Even on a day when much of America was hoping to see the sun go out, there’s still an ongoing need to hear someone sing “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” That, among many other things, is what’s offered in tonight’s PBS broadcast of a tribute special for Elton John and Bernie Taupin, two of the worthiest talents ever to be awarded the Library of Congress’ Gershwin Prize. If you’re a fan — and who isn’t?, as they say — the two-hour show will provide a total eclipse of all your other most pressing entertainment needs.
Three words: “Joni Mitchell” and “Metallica.” If this salute never moved out of the M’s, it would be worthy enough just based on those two highlights alone, neither of whom probably seemed like the likeliest Elton interpreter. But there they are, on the very same bingo card.

Gwen Stefani got the attention of Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson in seemingly no time at all. Manson was already feeling pretty untouchable, but in 2011, she admitted that Stefani caused her a bit of worry.

Manson and Stefani seemed to be big fans of each other, although their music styles and paths have been slightly different. They both started off in bands, but Stefani famously branched out to explore other forms of music. Her solo career would soon match and possibly even surpass her career with the band No Doubt.
Meanwhile, Manson would also enjoy great success with her band Garbage. Perhaps one of their biggest songs was their James Bond song “The World is Not Enough,” named after Pierce Brosnan’s Bond film. They’re also known for “Stupid Girl”, “You Look So Fine,...

Honoring O’Connor just eight months after she passed away, the doll depicts the “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer with her signature shaved head. The 2024 Academy Awards got to a late start on Sunday, after hundreds of protestors shut down a section of Sunset Boulevard— starting off an awards show filled with nods to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.
Pro-Palestinian protestors reportedly blocked Sunset Boulevard with Palestinian flags and signs, some including some that said “No awards for genocide” and “Lives have been snubbed.” According to Variety, dozens of high-profile guests and award nominees were late because of the disruption and were forced to sit in traffic or fully abandon their vehicles and walk the remaining distance to the ceremony.

The annual awards show united the power of fashion and entertainment for positive transformation and champions interconnected cultural change and the most inspiring efforts that drive it. The selection of the yearly honorees is evaluated according to six cultural archetypes – The Visionary, The Messenger, The Rebel, The Healer, The Sage, and The Futurist. Embodying these roles in the sustainable landscape, the Gcfa recognizes those who offer a new lens on true intersectional transformation while bringing together the next generation of global leaders driving political, social, and environmental solutions for a brighter collective future.

All eyes were on Zendaya as she stepped out in a flapper-esque vintage Roberto Cavalli dress at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards on Wednesday night at 1 Hotel’s Harriet’s in West Hollywood.
As co-chair of the event, which also drew Chrissy Teigen, Helen Hunt, Jennifer Coolidge, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, and Annie Lennox, Zendaya has long embraced vintage for red carpet appearances.
Most impressively, her last look — a chrome suit of armor from Mugler’s Fall Winter 1995 couture collection — reportedly generated $13.3 million in media exposure after wearing the piece to the Dune: Part Two premiere in London.
To mark this occasion, she rocked a silver roaring twenties-inspired gown from Cavalli’s spring 2011 collection. But the night was about much more than just sustainable sartorial selections.
“Fashion has always been a lens that we use to look at the world,” the awards show’s founder Livia Firth explained. “When you want...
