Gina Fortunato has been working in the Entertainment Industry for over 20 years in various Production Management and Supervising capacities. Her extensive career covers a wide genre of feature films, television, commercials and music videos. She has successfully managed and delivered films for major studios including Fox, Universal Pictures, Dreamworks SKG, New Line Cinema, MGM and the Weinstein Company.
Some of the highlights of her career include Production Managing the Oliver Stone film "W" starring Josh Brolin as well as Callie Khouri's "Mad Money" starring Queen Latifah, Diane Keaton, and Katie Holmes. Gina served as Production Supervisor on the Academy Award nominated films "Walk The Line", "House of Sand & Fog", and "The Road To Wellville". Gina Line Produced the Hyde Park Entertainment film "Premonition" starring Sandra Bullock and Internationally acclaimed Director, Mennan Yapo. Preceeding this, Gina was Sr. Vice President of Production at Kevin Williamson's Company, Outerbanks Entertainment, where she Produced the TV Series' "Glory Days" and "Wasteland" and had an overall production deal with the Weinstein Company. They also collaborated on several films.
Most Recently, Gina Line Produced the indie thriller, "Dead Men Float" directed by Jon Hess, which is creating a buzz at the 2014 American Film Market. She is currently working on getting two films to the big screen: "Undercard", the transcendent story of a female boxing champion who falls on hard times, from acclaimed Writer/Director/Producer, Tamika Miller. Also in development is the feature film entitled "The Hail Mary", a biopic about Doug Williams, the first African American quarterback to win a Super Bowl championship.
Born in Chappaqua, New York, Gina graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University with a double major in Business and Psychology. She also had the opportunity to study film history at Oxford University and travel extensively across Europe. Directly after attending Georgetown, she embarked on a successful career as an Account Executive at the boutique advertising agency, Lowe Marschalk NY, where she created innovative marketing campaigns for clients such as Citibank, Nabisco and Nike. Gina then moved to Los Angeles to pursue her true passion - filmmaking! As a proud and active member of the Director's Guild of America she continues to be an inspired and dedicated filmmaker!
