Caitlin, also known as CK or Cai (he/they/she), was born and raised in Southern California. Since a young age, they were always fascinated with characters and storytelling, but did not consider costume design as a career until pursing an undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley.
After Berkeley, Cai worked for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts in daily dressing roles as well as production and procurement of costumes.
While working for Disney, they also began a freelance career in costuming for film and television, working as a designer, costumer, and production assistant for independent projects as well as major production companies.
In 2016, they left the Walt Disney Company to pursue a Masters in Fine Arts from UCLA for costume design and subsequently begin working full-time in film and television.
After years of work with Marvel, they switched positions and works as a freelance storyteller, costume designer, and creator while also doing research and organizing costumes at Western Costume Company in Los Angeles. They joined IATSE Local 705 in 2022.
