Eloise Singer is an Emmy-nominated British producer, writer, and director.
She is the great-great-granddaughter of Isaac Singer, the inventor of the Singer Sewing Machine, and Isabella Eugénie Boyer, the model for the Statue of Liberty.
Born on the Channel Island of Jersey and raised in South America, Singer returned to the U.K. to study Political Science and International Relations at the University of Leeds, where she graduated with a first-class degree. She then studied Film Production at the London Film Academy.
Singer worked at Pinewood Studios on film and television productions for BBC, Channel 4, Netflix, Disney, and Paramount Pictures, including The Crown (2016), Murder on the Orient Express (2017), and Ready Player One (2018).
In 2017, she founded her own production company, Singer Studios, with a mission to empower the next generation of creatives to tell the boldest untold stories across film, podcast, documentary, and immersive media. The company uses the power of storytelling to push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and spark change.
She executive produced Billie Piper's film Rare Beasts (2019), starring Lily James and David Thewlis, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, London, and SXSW. She then executive produced Universal's film The Last Rifleman (2023), starring Pierce Brosnan, Clémence Poésy, and John Amos.
Singer produced, wrote and directed The Pirate Queen (2023), starring Lucy Liu, which shot to critical acclaim, winning the Storyscapes Award at the Tribeca Film Festival and the Discovery Award for Best Debut at the Raindance Film Festival. It was lauded as "the poster child for indie development" by Fandomwire. This success led to "The Pirate Queen" being nominated for the Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Emerging Media Program category.
Alongside this, Singer produced, co-wrote, and directed Mrs Benz: Voyage of Discovery (2022), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, SXSW, and Sheffield Doc Fest, and was nominated for multiple awards. She also hosted and produced the podcast series Women Behind the Scenes (2023) which was the highest charting new podcast in its week of release.
Singer is currently producing and directing the eagerly anticipated investigative documentary series, Inheritance: The Jersey Murders, with XYZ Films and Chris Smith at Library Films.
