In the scene after the Elke Sommer character has been abducted, the Paul Newman character is leaving his hotel to go to the awards rehearsal at the concert hall and the John Wengraf character gets into the back seat of the limousine with Paul Newman, John Wengraf is seated on Newman's left. Yet when they arrive at the concert hall, Newman exits the car on the left alone, and in order to do this he and John Wengraf would have had to switch places in the back seat.
After the fake Dr. Stratman is stabbed there is a close-up of the knife being covered in blood, in the next shots however, the knife is clean.
Emily cautions the fake Dr. Stratman that her uncle cannot see anything closer than six feet without his glasses, but when examining the gift basket, her real uncle reads the label of a bottle of Aquavit easily without glasses, even though it is only about 18 inches from his eyes.
When Andrew jumps onto the cargo net, he's (not) wearing gloves.
When Dr. Max Stratman sustains a cardiac arrest, he is resuscitated with a pair of electrical wires. Count Jacobsson is too much of a lower-class name for a Swedish count.
When Andrew Craig (Paul Newman) is pushed from the Katarina elevator, he falls from a considerable height, perhaps 50-60 feet. A fall from that height could cause serious injury or death. From just 20 feet a body would be falling at 25 MPH. From 60 feet it could be moving at 60 MPH. Water becomes very "hard" when one is going 60 MPH.
When Andrew Craig (Paul Newman) is confronted by the two henchmen on the bridge, he escapes by grabbing a passing cargo truck. The speed of the truck is such that if he grabbed it, most likely his arms could be dislocated from the shoulders or even torn off.
In numerous scenes throughout the movie, the tan-line from Paul Newman's wedding ring is clearly visible.
When Andrew Craig climbs up the netting to get on the "Seagull," he is not wearing gloves, but when he scales the railing, for just one instant, he's wearing cadet gloves, mostly used for rehearsals.
Nobel prize ceremony is held annually on Dec 10th. The weather, light and dresses in Stockholm would be different from those observed in the movie.
Andrew is pushed down off the top of the Katarina elevator. Luckily, he does not hit the ground 35 meters below, but instead falls into the water a couple of hundred meters away.
