(at around 1 hr) When Miss Marple is in her room after Cosgood and Arthur leave, she stands at the dresser with her purse on top, and it is closed. She leaves the room to go to the other rooms, and when she comes back to her room, the purse is open.
A judge cannot order a retrial. That is for the prosecutors to decide. Not even a High Court Judge can order a retrial.
When Miss Marple explains the method of releasing the gas on the cooker, she lights the gas ring; this could not happen as timers only work on ovens. (From an old gas fitter.)
In her audition, Miss Marple recites some of Robert W. Service's famous poem, "The Shooting Of Dan McGrew", but very near the end she omits two lines.
The poem ends with "These are the simple facts of the case, and I guess I ought to know. They say that the stranger was crazed with "hooch," and I'm not denying it's so.
I'm not so wise as the lawyer guys, but strictly between us two - The woman that kissed him and - pinched his poke - was the lady that's known as Lou."
She does not say the first two lines beginning with "These are the simple facts of the case".

Two shots apparently show Inspector Craddock rushing to Halford's Palace Theatre. The car in the first (a Wolseley 6/99) bears the registration YGA 370. In the following shot, the car has changed to a Wolseley 6/90, registration UUV 133. However, it is plausible that these are intended to be two different cars, both being sent to investigate the murder, even though no other officers than Craddock are seen in the subsequent scenes.
When the two cats exit Miss Marple's room, a bird-like toy on a string can be seen moving in the background and up to the ceiling, attracting the cats so they'll follow down the hall.
The scissored copy of the Milchester Gazette found by Miss Marple is undated; as this is a mock-up especially for the film, it would seem that the date was, intentionally or otherwise, overlooked.
When Miss Marple uses a mirror to look into the hallway of the hotel, she does so by attaching the mirror to her umbrella and holding it before the window over her door (meaning the mirror would show the hallway from a high angle). However, the close-up of the mirror shows the hallway from a ground level position, as if she is simply holding it in her hand.
The courtroom's main doors are decorated with the coat-of-arms of the King of Norway.
