Sex & Nudity
-
- This film has a large number of sexual jokes throughout. In one scene, a centurion is trying to find out which of the "eunichs" is not an eunich. He has a slave girl do a erotic dance in front of each of the men, waiting for one of them to have an erection. In another scene, the king of France, directing a live-action chess game, gives directions that end up in the simulated gang-rape of the woman playing the part of the queen.
- A Roman emperor ogles pretty maidens
- More mild than other films that came out that year such as airplane
- In one scene, the empress inspects Trojan soldiers who are bottomless - views of several bare buttocks are shown.
Violence & Gore
-
- Most of the violence in the film is comedic.
Profanity
-
- A man is referred to by homophobic language (once as "faggot" and once as "fag").
- 17 uses of shit 10 with bull 3 uses of fuck 1 with mother, bitch 2 with son of a and hell 1 use of dick, tits, bastard and damn it in french (sacre bleu) 2 uses of ass 7 uses of piss
- The word "fuck" is used three times including 1 "motherfucker", as are other profanities like shit, ass, son-of-a-bitch, etc. A gag revolves around a man whose entire job at the French Royal Court consists of carrying around a bucket for the male members of the court to relieve themselves in - he is known as the "garcon l'pis," or as the king calls him a few times, "piss-boy."
- A Roman emperor repeatedly belches and flatulates.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- Gregory Hines' character constructs an enormous marijuana joint in one scene in an attempt to get the Romans pursuing him stoned.
- A man snorts cocaine.
- Social drinking.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- None really, though some viewers may be offended by a gag revolving around Jesus.
Spoilers
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- At the end of the Roman scene, in order to escape the Roman soldiers, they wrap marijuana in a piece of paper and light it on fire, making smoke come out, getting the soldiers high. This is done for comedic effect.
