Last month, we got a look at the trailer for the action thriller Duchess, the latest film from director Neil Marshall. Saban Films will be giving Duchess a digital and VOD release on August 9th… and with that date just one week away, a pair of promotional clips have made their way online. They’re called the “Home Invasion” and “Garage Ambush” clips, and you can watch them right here in this article.
In the UK, Duchess will be getting a limited theatrical release on August 9th, and will then be available for digital download on the 12th.
Marshall wrote the Duchess screenplay with Charlotte Kirk, who also stars as the title character, a tough, working-class, petty criminal who morphs into an anti-heroine to be reckoned with in a murky underworld, in the treacherous world of diamond smuggling. Determined to seek retribution she launches into a vicious and violent pursuit for vengeance.

Great Scott! With every new bit of Nobody 2 news, things just keep looking better and better for Universal and 87North's upcoming action thriller. Just last week, we shared the exciting announcement that Basic Instinct star Sharon Stone is set to play the lead villain in Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto's (The Night Comes For Us) eagerly anticipated sequel. And before that, we got confirmation that Bob Odenkirk is getting ready to rock and roll once again as assassin-turned-family-man-turned-assassin-again Hutch Mansell in the geriaction flick follow-up. Now, per Deadline's reporting, we know that Back To The Future legend Christopher Lloyd will be back as Hutch's shotgun-toting, retired FBI agent father David Mansell in the latest Nobody joint.
Hot on the heels of scoring an Emmy nomination for his role as Larry Arbuckle in Prime Video dramedy Hacks, Lloyd isn't the only Mansell family member confirmed to be returning in Deadline's report either.

Single White Female, directed by Barbet Schroeder and starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh, is a psychological thriller that not only captivated audiences with its tense narrative and compelling performances but also marked a significant point in the female-villain-led thrillers of the 1990s, taking what was originally a more direct-to-market “erotic thriller” (from filmmakers like Jag Mundhra) and making it mainstream, leading to a proliferation of similar films through the decade from filmmakers looking to cash-in… and it made a superstar out of actress Bridget Fonda.

While the rumors surrounding Kevin Costner’s exit from Yellowstone have been a source of headache for Taylor Sheridan, both parties had relatively held their silence as a sign of respect toward the other. Paramount, on the other hand, had no problem dumping oil into the fire after twisting the subject of Costner’s exit to paint an unfavorable picture of the show’s lead star.

By the end of the business day, Kevin Costner had been branded a villain. Further speculation spread like wildfire after reports surfaced about the Yellowstone cast cutting off contact with the senior actor.
As such, when the clamoring had died down enough to make space for Costner’s voice, the actor made sure that fans knew the truth behind the controversy instead of the studio’s misinterpreted claims.

Bob Odenkirk is set to return to the big screens with the sequel to his surprise hit Nobody from 2021, and fans couldn’t be more excited to have the Better Call Saul star back onscreen. Just like the first film, he will reportedly be reprising his iconic role of the mild-mannered family man cum former secret government assassin — a role he pulled off most impeccably.

Though this time, he has another special star power joining him to make this upcoming 2025-release-scheduled Nobody 2 absolutely explode: Sharon Stone. But while the second movie is yet to be shot and delivered to the big screens, fans are already so piqued with excitement and exhilaration that they have already started cooking for the third film in the series!

The sequel to the awesome movie “Nobody” just got even cooler. They just announced that Sharon Stone is joining the cast as the villain, which will be so wild to see!
In the first movie, Bob Odenkirk totally shocked people with how good he was at kicking butt. Usually he’s known for making us laugh in shows like “Breaking Bad.” But he proved he’s also a real action star.
Now he’s coming back for “Nobody 2” but this time his enemy is gonna be Sharon Stone! She’s legendary from movies like “Basic Instinct” and “Casino.” I bet the fights between her and Bob are gonna be super intense!
The director for the sequel is Timo Tjahjanto, who does great horror and action stuff. It’s being made by the same people too. Sharon will be returning to big movies after focusing on TV shows recently.

Last month, we brought you the news that Bob Odenkirk is set to reprise his role as government-assassin-turned-family-man-turned-assassin-again Hutch Mansell in Nobody 2, with Indonesian action-horror filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto aboard to direct. And now we know who our man Hutch will be putting his, er, Basic Instinct to the test against in the follow-up to Ilya Naishuller's 2021 geriaction romp. Per THR's reporting, Oscar-nominated Hollywood icon Sharon Stone is set to star opposite Odenkirk as the shadowy new big-bad in the sequel.
Plot details on Nobody 2 remain firmly under wraps for the time being, but we do know Derek Kolstad (John Wick), Aaron Rabin (Secret Invasion), Umair Aleem, and Odenkirk himself are all on writing duties for this one, with 87North super-duo Kelly McCormick and David Leitch (The Fall Guy) among the movie's producers. Nobody 2, the sequel to 2021’s fun and fierce action film, starring Bob Odenkirk as a mild-mannered retired assassin who returns to his former life after a botched home invasion, is getting a significant update with confirmation that Sharon Stone is joining the cast for a villainous role. For Hutch Mansell’s (Bob Odenkirk) sake, I hope Stone isn’t within arms reach of an ice pick.
Sharon Stone’s inclusion is the latest bit of fantastic news for this highly-anticipated sequel after learning that Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto helms the film based on a screenplay written by Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk and, Umair Aleem. Nobody surprised the box office by grossing $57.5 million after spending $16 million on production. Connie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, and Aleksey Serebryakov also star in Nobody, though it’s undetermined if Nielsen or Lloyd will return for the sequel. However, considering how Nobody ended, I’d...

Some people might argue that Sharon Stone’s infamous leg-crossing scene in Basic Instinct made her not only famous but also an instant symbol in cinema’s pop culture history. However, for the actress in question, the uncertainty of the scene combined with the humiliation of not knowing what she was getting into was not exactly a career highlight for her.

Sharon Stone believes streaming has been good for Hollywood. The 66-year-old actress believes that streaming networks have been vital in keeping mid-range budge movies alive as studios focus on blockbusters.Speaking at the Taormina Film Festival, where she received the Golden Cariddi Lifetime Achievement Award, Sharon told Variety: "The world has changed dynamically since 1992. When I made ‘Basic Instinct,’ it seemed like a scandal. The studios have changed dramatically. They’ve changed from making a variety of movies to making really these gigantic $100 and $200 million films. When I was making these beautiful films 30 years ago, they would be $50-60 million tops. Now streamers are taking over our business. And I don’t think that that’s a terrible thing really. We’re coming back to making smaller and more relevant films."And, Sharon believes there is now more of an opportunity for women to write, direct and produce. She said:...

Sharon Stone, who was at the Taormina Film Festival Friday to receive the Golden Cariddi Lifetime Achievement Award, spoke about her battles with ill health, her fears for the future of her country, and the changes happening in the film industry.
“The world has changed dynamically since 1992. When I made ‘Basic Instinct,’ it seemed like a scandal,” Stone said. “The studios have changed dramatically. With films such as “Challengers” and “Love Lies Bleeding” is sex coming back to the movies? “It’s not something we’re coming back to in my mind.

Sharon Stone is crediting the rise in female filmmakers for undercutting perversely pervasive “male fantasy” characters.
The actress said during the 2024 Taormina Film Festival (via Deadline) that today’s films are “less about male-driven fantasies” as more women are writing and directing features.
“I think that now that women are writing, directing, producing, filming, and more and more a part of filmmaking, films are less about male-driven fantasies,” Stone said. “Actresses are less asked to portray the male fantasy and critics are less asked to tell us if we fulfilled the male fantasy or not. It’s more, ‘Are we fulfilling the human condition?'”
Stone also applauded how streamers have created a platform for diverse stories.

Sharon Stone appeared at the Taormina Film Festival on Friday during a press conference held at the luxe San Domenico Palace (where Season 2 of The White Lotus was partially filmed). Stone is in the hilltop Sicilian town to accept the Golden Cariddi for Lifetime Achievement later this evening.
In a wide-ranging discussion, the Oscar nominee addressed such topics as how the movie business has changed since her breakout performance in 1992’s Basic Instinct, and the difference between how sex was portrayed onscreen in those days versus today. She also commented that she’s considering a move to Europe.
Whether the latter is tied to her political views was not clear, but Stone did talk about the upcoming U.S. presidential election, saying, “Thank God I’m not a politician… I have always been a very proud American, and I love my country very much. Of course, I am deeply concerned...

Despite becoming one of the ’90s’ preeminent sex symbols for her role in Paul Verhoeven’s Basic Instinct, Sharon Stone is thrilled that the conversation around sex in films has changed. While she didn’t wade into the still-murky waters of actual sex scene discourse, the actor took some time...

“I’d have to be pretty stupid to write a book about killing and then kill him the way I described in my book. I’d be announcing myself as the killer. I’m not stupid.”
We all know that woman. She’s got impossibly perfect hair, effortless style, and a glint in her eye signaling ultimate control – not to mention throngs of handsome men wrapped around her perfectly manicured fingers. We call her a man-eater for her ability to dominate any patriarchal exchange and command men to act on her every whim and desire. Weather weaponizing tears or sexuality, there’s something so admirable about a woman who gives no fucks. So confident that she will come out on top, she’s ascended beyond the fear of being disliked and uses her destabilizing confidence to play with men used to being in charge. Paul Verhoeven’s neo-noir outing with Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas headlining the film was perhaps one of the most polarizing pieces of cinema of its time (and perhaps even today) which sundered the audience into opposing factions.

Indeed, Basic Instinct turned out to be Stone’s breakthrough, elevating her to newfound heights of stardom in the industry, but it was nothing short of a pyrrhic victory for the acclaimed actress. And even more than three decades later, the former model appears unable to escape the chokehold that the erotic thriller – which nearly derailed her life – seemingly has over her.

Hollywood legend Sharon Stone just caused a stir on social media by recreating one of her most famous scenes ever. You probably remember that jaw-dropping moment from Basic Instinct over 30 years ago. Well, Sharon took to Instagram to pay tribute to it in her own bold way.
This time around though, Sharon isn’t showing quite as much skin. Instead of being Question on the interrogation chair in just her underwear, Sharon posed in some sexy pink lingerie. She’s seated in a fancy gold and white chair, looking as poised and gorgeous as ever at 66 years old.
Sharon captioned the shot “Basically….Yours” as a nod to the movie that made her a huge star. You can tell she’s proud of the risks she took early in her career, even if the original scene wasn’t what she expected. For a long time, Sharon was really upset about feeling tricked on set.

Thirty-two years later, Sharon Stone put her own spin on the infamous scene, which she felt she was tricked into filming and left her angry.
The moment in question is, of course, the interrogation scene in Basic Instinct in which Stone’s character uncrosses her legs and reveals that she is not wearing underwear. Stone has said, “I’d been told, ‘We can’t see anything—I just need you to remove your panties, as the white is reflecting the light, so we know you have panties on.’” But when she saw the film, that was not the case.
Basic Instinct director Paul Verhoeven, for his part, denied tricking the actress.
Stone has said the scene impacted her career negatively, and that she even lost custody of her child in 2004 because of assumptions created by her brief nudity in the film.

Sharon Stone is reflecting on her harrowing experience with a stroke that took $18 million from her. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the Basic Instinct actress shared how her 2001 stroke, which led to a nine-day brain bleed, resulted in the loss of her massive savings due to people taking advantage of her during her seven-year recovery absence from Hollywood. Facing financial devastation post-stroke The stroke and its aftermath were transformative for Stone. Elizabeth Taylor hurt her hip. And Sharon Stone’s life would never be the same.
It was May 1995, and the Basic Instinct star, then 37, was at the Cannes Film Festival plugging her new movie, The Quick and the Dead, when she was approached by Dr. Mathilde Krim, founder of the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Would Stone consider standing in for the ailing Taylor as host of the charity’s star-studded annual fundraiser on the Riviera?
She said yes, as she had for years for any ask amfAR had of her. But years earlier, it was not an easy decision. In the late ’80s, AIDS was a disease still shrouded in stigma and shame, even as it devastated much of the artistic community. Stone was warned that taking the gig might very well “ruin her career.”

It remains to be seen if Neil Marshall will ever get the chance to direct the Dog Soldiers sequel or the Predator movie he wants to make – but he’s not just waiting around to be given those opportunities. His latest film is the action thriller Duchess, which Saban Films will be giving a digital and VOD release on August 9th… and with that date just one month away, a trailer for the film has arrived online. You can check it out in the embed above.

It is pure alchemy when a show like The Bear not only entices viewers with its mouthwatering storyline but also seasons its cast with a sprinkle of stardom. Certainly, in its unrelenting quest to serve up a stellar second season, Christopher Storer’s series introduced one of Hollywood’s finest, Jamie Lee Curtis.

Taking on the mantle of Donna Berzatto, she donned the role of the mother of Jeremy Allen White’s Carmy. Meanwhile, the shadow of what-ifs loomed as Michelle Pfeiffer, once in the running for the role, bypassed the opportunity, leaving fans to ruminate over her menu of roles not taken that already included flicks like The Silence of the Lambs and Pretty Woman.
As 2024 Emmy experts make their predictions, there is a growing chorus of support for Curtis’ The Bear role, which is increasing the likelihood that an Emmy will be awarded.

What’s the secret to Bound‘s steamy, same-sex love scenes? Tequila and truffles, it turns out.
Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly joined The Hollywood Reporter’s It Happened in Hollywood podcast for an episode about the making of the 1996 noir — the pulpy, lesbian thriller that served as a debut for Lilly and Lana Wachowski, three years before The Matrix made the director siblings household names.
Its frank depictions of gay sex were considered risky at the time. “Gina knew right away that she wanted to do it,” says Tilly, who plays Violet, girlfriend to a mobster (Joey Pantoliano) who falls for Gershon’s Corky, an ex-con. “But I was trepidatious. The script was one of the best scripts you ever read. But then you think two first-time directors, Dino De Laurentiis as the producer — we could easily get into a Roger Corman sort of arena. I was a little bit nervous.

Director Bardia Zeinali knew exactly what the music video for Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” needed. For a song in which a woman pleads with her chaotic partner to behave, the music video demanded sexy crime vibes. There’s a reason Zeinali put Sharon Stone in “Basic Instinct” on the mood board.
The resulting video for Carpenter’s second single off her upcoming “Short ‘n’ Sweet” album, in which Carpenter meets Barry Keoghan’s smirking ne’er-do-well, is instantly iconic, with director of photography Sean Price Williams’ lush visuals bringing to mind Douglas Sirk doing neo-noir. But beyond turning Oscar nominee Keoghan into the internet’s latest boyfriend (something even “Saltburn” didn’t achieve) and creating the summer’s go-to meme, Zeinali gave the video something even more vital: a total understanding and appreciation of the sly humor in Carpenter’s songwriting.

Being recognized as the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock left a remarkable legacy that still influences filmmakers for their thrillers and horrors. It’s no surprise Vertigo (1958), Psycho (1960) and The Birds (1963) are great sources of cinema inspiration.
However, there is a lesser-known gem made by Hitchcock that became the base for a star-studded crime flick that is still rewatched by those who miss the atmosphere of 90s thrillers. Let’s take a closer look at this underdog take on the genre classics.
The plot of this film revolves around Steven Taylor, a Wall Street dealer whose both empire and marriage are close to being ruined. The point is that he finds out not only that his wealthy young wife Emily is cheating on him, but also a pretty wild way out of it.

The decade of the 1990s is notorious for its memorable thrillers that are still rewatched and discussed by fans. Disappointingly, their legacy was discredited by some sequels that tried to ride the same hype train that was ridden by the originals, but failed.
For example, you may have been blissfully unaware that such iconic movies as Basic Instinct (1992) and Speed (1994) had their own follow-ups that were panned by both fans and critics. These ones also include a sequel that has just entered HBO’s global top all of a sudden.
Its plot revolves around a serial killer who managed to escape from custody and settled down in Europe after that. However, his only surviving victim still remembers him and strives to avenge, and that’s why he uses the killer’s old acquaintance as bait.
The bait is none other than the now disgraced agent who sought the maniac’s...

If you liked seeing the “M3GAN” robot dancing, the cinematic universe is about to get a lot kinkier.
Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are in the works on a spinoff film to “M3GAN” called “SOULM8TE,” which is being described as an “erotic thriller” inspired by similar movies from the 1990s. We’re thinking “Cruel Intentions,” “Wild Things,” “Basic Instinct,” “Sliver,” or earlier ’80s movies like “Body Heat” or “Fatal Attraction,” but with a killer robot.
In “SOULM8TE,” a man acquires an artificially intelligent android to cope with the loss of his recently deceased wife. In an attempt to create a truly sentient partner, he inadvertently turns a harmless lovebot into a deadly soulmate.
Kate Dolan (“You Are Not My Mother”) is directing the film, and Universal has already set a release date for January 2, 2026. James Wan, Ingrid Bisu, and Rafael Jordan came up with the story, and Dolan co-wrote the screenplay with Jordan.

If there was a decade that truly helped to shape the future of the crime thriller genre, it was undoubtedly the 1990s. The era churned out numerous movies that have become the benchmark for how to craft a movie about the hunt for a serial killer, or flashing femme fatales with a penchant for murder. Movies such as The Silence of the Lambs, Misery, Se7en and Basic Instinct set a benchmark for not only quality in the crime flick, but also by delivering iconic sequences that are synonymous within the genre. Lambs had Anthony Hopkins’ wonderful Chianti sipping performance, Misery gleefully smashed ankles, Se7en had the tragic head in a box scene, while Basic Instinct allowed Sharon Stone to show more than just her acting ability. The point is, by the time the movie we’re focusing on in this episode was released in 1999, audiences had preconceived expectations, thanks...

The decade of the 1990s was indeed fruitful for suspenseful thrillers that are now inscribed in cinema history. If you miss those years’ movies, here is some good news for you: here are 7 flicks that are gonna thrill you even now, almost 30 years later.
1. Misery (1990)
First comes a masterpiece based on Stephen King's psychological novel about a writer who becomes a prisoner of his obsessive fan. It’s clearly one of the best adaptations of the King of Horror’s novels and one of the creepiest thrillers of all time.
2. Basic Instinct (1992)
We all know the title of this seductive crime noir, but if you haven’t seen it yet, why not? Starring Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone, the story of a police detective who falls for his prime suspect is a must-watch for every fan of wild erotic thrillers.
3. Primal Fear (1996)

Back in 1992, Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone’s neo-noir shocked the whole world with its groundbreaking depiction of sexuality. Indeed, directed by Paul Verhoeven, Basic Instinct became a sensation that not only acquired a cult following, but also paved the way for other erotic movies of the 1990s.
However, 3 years after that, Verhoeven made a movie that wasn’t successful at all, as it sparked much more controversy and became a box office bomb, grossing just $37.8 million against a budget of $45 million. However, it’s even bolder than the 1992 thriller.
The film’s plot revolves around a young woman who has her own American dream: she wants to become a popular dancer. After taking up a job in a poor strip club, she encounters the high-profile Stardust Hotel’s showgirl and her bossy boyfriend.
Eventually, the protagonist ends up involved in the intrigues of those who strive towards more and more money and power,...

It may seem that Netflix has taken over the period dramas’ scene with the glowing success of Bridgerton, the series that got all the possible titles. However, Apple TV is now killing it with their period shows too, as you may have seen such gems, as Lessons in Chemistry (2023), Masters of the Air, The New Look, and Manhunt (all 2024).
This year the platform released a must-see miniseries that also takes us back in time, but here we embark on a journey together with one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, Benjamin Franklin. This show can even beat Bridgerton by its quality (and it surely does better when it comes to historical accuracy).
It starts by depicting the events of December 1776 after The Declaration of Independence was adopted. Franklin goes on a mission to France as commissioner for the United States, taking his 16-year-old grandson, William Temple Franklin with him.

On Friday nights, IndieWire After Dark takes a feature-length beat to honor fringe cinema in the streaming age.
First, the spoiler-free pitch for one editor’s midnight movie pick — something weird and wonderful from any age of film that deserves our memorializing.
Then, the spoiler-filled aftermath as experienced by the unwitting editor attacked by this week’s recommendation.
The Pitch: Peering Eyes and Multiple Endings
Sliver really should be mandatory viewing for any “Basic Instinct” fan — or any lover of Sharon Stone noirs, for that matter. Stone reunites with “Basic Instinct” screenwriter Joe Eszterhas for this 1993 erotic thriller that feels more like a Brian De Palma-esque satire on the genre itself. Mixed with the paranoia of surveillance technology, the voyeurism of “Body Double,” and the dual campy performances from Billy Baldwin and Tom Berenger as part of a twisted love triangle, “Sliver” is the ‘90s film you’ve never heard of but will adore.

George Lucas vetted several options before roping in Richard Marquand to helm Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. Some directors were not interested in directing Lucas’s epic space film, while the creator rejected a few others. One of the directors whom Lucas didn’t want for the film was the Basic Instinct director Paul Verhoeven.

Between its striking title, lurid artwork, and the timing of its release — 1981 bore the likes of Halloween II, Friday the 13th Part 2, My Bloody Valentine, The Burning, The Funhouse, The Prowler, and Happy Birthday to Me — one might mistake Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker (also known as Night Warning) for a run-of-the-mill slasher flick. While it vaguely fits in the slice-and-dice mold, the film is anything but generic.
The prologue — which may have inspired Final Destination 2‘s unforgettable opening sequence — was directed by Michael Miller with cinematography by Jan de Bont, but Miller was let go by the production after falling behind schedule. He was replaced by TV veteran William Asher, who shot the remainder of the film with Robbie Greenberg as director of photography.
14 years after his parents were killed in an over-the-top car crash, Billy Lynch witnesses his infantilizing aunt-turned-guardian, Cheryl Roberts, kill a repair man in cold blood.

What is it about Speed that always keeps people coming back for more? Now celebrating its third decade as one of the greatest action films ever made, Jan de Bont’s positively explosive bare bones rush hour movie is a rare case of an enduring Hollywood classic, with insanely bankable stars, that hasn’t been re-upped, remade or rebooted to death.
30 years on, it has spawned a wealth of imitators, a legion of die-hard fans (50Mph podcast we see you) and an entire legacy of super straightforward, super effective action cinema. But really only one legitimate sequel. So, what happened? How did such an influential movie falter? Why is an IP-hungry Hollywood, that’s somehow so starved it’s willing to bankroll a 9-figure stuntman movie based on an ancient and barely remembered ’80s TV show, so Speed-phobic? And most importantly of all, is the original still just as good as you remember it?...

Kevin Spacey is currently feeling the love from his fellow stars. Hollywood A-listers like Liam Neeson, Sharon Stone, Stephen Fry, and others are actively campaigning for the return of a creative they saw as one of Hollywood’s brightest stars seven years after he left the industry at the height of sex assault allegations.
Some fans may object to Kevin Spacey’s return, but these stars are all in for seeing it become a reality.

Over the last few years, we’ve seen the rise of intimacy coordinators in Hollywood, but Michael Douglas wonders whether it’s not just executives stepping on the toes of filmmakers.
“It’s interesting with all the intimacy coordinators,” Michael Douglas told The Telegraph. “It feels like executives taking control away from filmmakers – but there have been some terrible faux pas and harassment.“
Douglas added: “Sex scenes are like fight scenes, it’s all choreographed. In my experience you take responsibility as the man to make sure the woman is comfortable, you talk it through. You say, ‘Ok, I’m gonna touch you here if that’s all right’. It’s very slow but looks like it’s happening organically, which is hopefully what good acting looks like.“

Since 2017 we’ve been watching two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey’s fall from grace unfold after several men accused the actor of s*xual assault and inappropriate behavior. Although the jury in the US found Spacey not liable in actor Anthony Rapp’s civil suit over the molestation allegation and dismissed the particular lawsuit against him, the actor is still facing ongoing legal battles in London.

Kevin Spacey is facing another sexual assault trial in the UK next year, but today the two-time Oscar winner saw some major star power in his corner.
Liam Neeson, Sharon Stone and Stephen Fry have come forward with unequivocal support for Spacey as the much-accused actor has been back in the spotlight via new Channel 4 docuseries with even more allegations of severe misconduct.
“I was deeply saddened to learn of these accusations against him,” Taken franchise star Neesom told the Telegraph today. “Kevin is a good man and a man of character. He’s sensitive, articulate and non-judgmental, with a terrific sense of humour. He is also one of our finest artists in the theatre and on camera.
“Personally speaking, our industry needs him and misses him greatly,” Neeson, no total stranger to controversy himself, concluded.
Basic Instinct star Stone told the UK broadsheet: “I can’t wait to see Kevin back at work.

Image Source: Amazon While Basic Instinct was a huge hit with movie audiences back in 1992, critics were, at the time, underwhelmed. The film’s three stars — Michael Douglas, Sharon Stone, and Jeanne Tripplehorn — all wound up with Golden Raspberry nominations for their performances. With the passage of time, however, Basic Instinct has undergone a critical re-evaluation, with several critics now believing it’s one of the essential films of its era. Regardless of its outside reception, though, Douglas will always look back at Basic Instinct as one of his most difficult films. As he said at the time of its release, the Joe Eszterhas script guaranteed that he wouldn’t be getting much rest during the shoot.
