It was another night of self-congratulating stars, passionate speeches being interrupted by play-'em-off music ("Ride of the Valkyries"? Really???), and several genuine upsets (Rylance over Stallone; Spotlight over The Revenant) — as well as a scorching Oscars monologue that will go down as one for the ages. There were inspirational and uplifting moments, there were cue-the-sad-trombone gags gone wrong, and then there was Stacey Dash wishing everyone a "Happy Black History month." Here are the 20 best, worst and genuinely Wtf moments from last night's Oscars 2016 broadcast. Here's hoping we see Rock...

Nobody's perfect—not even Reese Witherspoon. But the usually squeaky-clean actress and mom of three is owning up to her disorderly conduct arrest last month, telling Good Morning America Thursday she and husband Jim Toth (who was arrested on suspicion of DUI) "made a mistake and it was something that will absolutely never happen again." "It's just completely unacceptable and we are so sorry and embarrassed," the 37-year-old Mud star said. "We went out to dinner in Atlanta and we had one too many glasses of wine," she explained. "We thought we were fine to drive and we absolutely were not…We know better and we shouldn't have done...

Nobody's perfect, but Ryan Gosling comes pretty damn close. Once upon a time, Hollywood's Prince Charming bought out some lucky little lady's entire haul of Girl Scout Cookies, then handed the sweets out to strangers on the road. On Wednesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live, the funnyman got Ryan to explain his endearingly charitable feat. Jimmy explained that "five or six years ago," two of his friends encountered the Gangster Squad star in Santa Monica, Calif., and the actor "handed them several boxes of Girl Scout Cookies and then drove off." Ryan begrudgingly confirmed that it was him, but told Jimmy, "It seemed like a good idea at the time…Look, I regret...

In fact, Douglas placed last among the eight contestants from around the world. "It was an amazing talent of finalists," she said, per USA Today. "Coming into bar finals was a big challenge for me. After appearing on a handful of remixes and producing other artists, hip hop icon Missy Elliott is finally returning to the music world that has missed her so greatly over the last few years. Her most recent appearance finds her teaming with Grammy nominee and Jay-z associate J. Cole for the brand new video for "Nobody's Perfect," the latest single from his debut album "Cole World." Her duties in the song include rapping one verse and singing the tune's repeated, Prince-like hook, while Cole takes on the bulk of the rapping. The video finds them apart from one another for most...

Cole's world got just a little hotter. On Wednesday night, J. Cole and Missy Elliott released their "Nobody's Perfect" video, one that Cole predicted to MTV News would be his best to date.
He made the prediction to Sway on the Grammy red carpet last month, and after checking out the clip, the Colin Tilley-directed visual surely lives up to the hype.
The clip opens with Cole sitting in a hotel room, rapping about his upgraded lifestyle as a number of video cameras capture his every move, from every angle. In the next room, there's a singing Missy Elliott. Though she notched her biggest hits when Cole was just a teen, the Mc told us having her perform on the song's hook was a dream come true.

J. Cole may have started with a dollar and a dream on his 2007 mixtape The Come Up, but the Roc Nation Mc has amassed so much more since releasing his major-label debut, Cole World: The Sideline Story, last year. He earned himself a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, and even though he lost out to Bon Iver on Sunday night, Cole lived out another dream this past week: shooting a video with his idol Missy Elliott.
"We just shot the video with Missy Elliott for 'Nobody's Perfect.' My god, that was a moment — that was a moment," Cole told Sway from the Grammy red carpet right before the big show.

Season three of White Collar recently debuted on the USA network, and once again I have been sucked in to the tales and tribulations of one former white collar crook and his unlikely partnership with an FBI agent. Below are three reasons why you should give this show a shot if you aren't already.
Neal Caffrey is deliciously charming... and easy on the eyes.
One glance at those piercing baby blues and that perfectly tailored suit, and I was a fan. And he's incredibly attractive when he spouts off details about early Egyptian art or when he spontaneously goes undercover as an English teacher who can recite any work from William Shakespeare. He's intelligent, good looking and loves to annoy his handler Agent Burke. So he has to wear an ankle monitor and can't go beyond a two-mile radius of his home. Nobody's perfect, right?

"Me and Missy are both coming with our albums at the same time, and it will be in June," Timbo told MTV News in his Miami home February 3.
It's been three years since Timbaland released Shock Value II and seven years since Missy dropped The Cookbook. If all goes according to plan, fans won't have to wait much longer.

This is it. After weeks of anticipation, tantalizing glimpses of a shadowy figure creeping in the background, acts of violence perpetrated by a malevolent force, we finally get to learn the identity of the Rubber Man. We watch as he pulls off his mask, looks in the mirror to reveal the truth, until finally we see. The Rubber Man is…Tate!
Tate? Really? After all that? The school shooter crushing on the Harmons’ daughter?
It all seems so pedestrian. This is American Horror Story after all; I was all geared up for some really messed-up, game changing twist that would have ushered us into the end of the season. To have Tate be the Rubber Man is just way too obvious. I don’t think there was a viewer in the country who didn’t watch the first episode and surmise that Tate was the likely Rubber Man. But this...

Jessie J played an emotional homecoming set at V Festival in Chelmsford, Essex earlier today. The singer took to the 4Music stage to perform a collection of hits from her debut album Who You Are. The star kicked off her set with 'Mama Knows Best' while sat on a large pair of red lips, as she is still suffering from a broken foot. After finishing the opening song, the 24-year-old joked: "This couch is so low I may as well be laying on the floor." She then swapped the sofa for a plastic blue fold-out chair, which was brought out by a stagehand to a mixture of cheers and laughs from the packed-out festival crowd. 'Stand Up' was ironically Jessie J's next track, followed by her previous single 'Nobody's Perfect'. Addressing the crowd, she declared: "This is the first gig I've ever done in Essex. I came...

Academy pays tribute at Oscars ceremony to Tony Curtis, star of Some Like it Hot, who died last September aged 85
Tony Curtis took his final bow at the Academy Awards ceremony as part of the annual tribute to those in the film industry who died in the past 12 months.
The Bronx-born actor passed away on September 29, aged 85. His screen credits include The Defiant Ones, The Sweet Smell of Success, Spartacus, The Great Race, Insignificance and The Boston Strangler. But for many he remains most fondly remembered for his role as Joe, the on-the-run jazz musician who reinvents himself as "Josephine" in Billy Wilder's freewheeling 1959 comedy Some Like it Hot. Curtis once confessed that he wanted the film's immortal final line - "Nobody's perfect" - to serve as his epitaph.

American actor who played an array of kindly fathers, doctors, lawyers and rabbis
Harold Gould, who has died aged 86, was categorised as a character actor, usually a euphemism for an actor who did not quite make it to the top. But it would be more accurate to describe him as a supporting actor who made invaluable contributions to innumerable television shows and dozens of films. The elegantly dressed Gould, with his grey hair and natty moustache, "supported" many a star, often in the roles of kindly uncles, fathers and husbands as well as doctors, psychiatrists, lawyers, rabbis and teachers.
The five times Emmy-nominated Gould was probably most widely known as Martin Morgenstern, Valerie Harper's handsome smoothie father in Rhoda (1974-78), and the college professor widower who courts Rose (Betty White) in the sitcom The Golden Girls (1985-92). In the latter, Gould played Miles Webber, a mild-mannered man who turns...

"The Expendables" arrives in theaters today with several familiar faces in tow — well, familiar faces if you're a fan of epic action extravaganzas filled to the brim with blood, booze and babes aplenty, that is! If you're not well-versed in that scene, don't worry — we have you covered. Throughout the week, we profiled the six heroes at the center of "The Expendables," concluding today with the movie's illustrious leader, Sylvester Stallone.
Sylvester Stallone
Truthfully, this man needs no introduction. From Rocky Balboa to John Rambo, there are few men in the world of Hollywood that give Sylvester Stallone a run for his money in the badass department — and, ironically enough, most of those men are already in this film. In "The Expendables," Stallone stars as Barney Ross, the commanding leader of this band of overly muscled misfits.
Claims to Fame
Like I said — this man is Rocky. This man is Rambo.

This week, Madonna calls it a comeback.
In the midst of the turn-of-the-century pop explosion with which this feature is so obsessed, the landscape was made up mostly by young starlets and new-to-the-scene singers. There were a handful of exceptions: Cher scored a bizarre Auto-Tune-assisted comeback hit with the dance track "Believe," Santana collaborated his way to the top of the charts with his...

Katie Price has no regrets about appearing in reality TV shows. The former glamour model - who has starred in two series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' and several programmes about her personal life - has ''learnt'' a lot from her time in front of the cameras but is glad she agreed to do them. She said: ''I don't have any regrets about that. They have made me the person I am today and put me in the situation I am today. There's lots of things I've done right, loads of things I've done wrong. Nobody's perfect and I'm ..

We've all encountered those overly cerebral, mechanical actors—the ones so busy measuring beats and sorting objectives and obstacles that they don't really hear their scene partners' lines. Whatever the role, these actors do it by the book. But the "book" is more than just proverbial. It's constantly being written and rewritten, with publishers releasing a steady stream of new tomes on the craft and business of acting each year.We spoke with actors, coaches, and teachers to find out which titles are essential. They all agreed that although you can't master the art of acting by only following an instruction manual—like those misguided robotic actors—it's nonetheless beneficial to own at least a library shelf or two of books devoted to your profession.Rocking the ClassicsUnsurprisingly, among the titles most often mentioned by Back Stage's respondents were such venerable texts as "Sanford Meisner on Acting" (1987), Stella Adler...

The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer – who endured a turbulent year after being assaulted by her now ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in February – was amazed by c’s continuous stream of hits over the year. Rihanna said: “Lady Gaga has a very bold, fearless image and, I have to say, I have so much respect for original artists who aren't afraid to do what they do. That's what I respect the most. She's awesome." The 21-year-old singer recently admitted 2009 had been the toughest year of her life because of the attack, which left her with cuts and bruises and emotionally traumatised. But Rihanna hoped one good thing to come out of the incident was that her fans would be able to see that no one’s life is perfect. She said: "Before, young girls thought my life was perfect. Now they realise it's not. Nobody's perfect. I'm living the same human life that they are,...

Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas has said he and his two brothers Joe and Kevin consider themselves 'normal guys' despite their massive success. The three brothers have become one of the biggest bands on the planet and have a big female fan base across the world. Nick, 17, said: 'I think we consider ourselves normal guys who are doing our best, and that's what we've been saying from the beginning. 'Live like you're at the bottom, even if you're at the top. For us, that just means staying humble and doing your best every day. We're not saying we're perfect. 'Nobody's perfect, but we're doing our best. We're just trying to do our best to...

Deals. Sony Pictures Classics acquired The Last Station hot off its debut at the Telluride Film Festival and plans a quick turnaround, releasing it before the end of the year and pushing its stars Helen Mirren, Christopher Plummer, and James McAvoy for awards consideration, according to Thompson on Hollywood. Described as a "fictionalized chronicle of Tolstoy's last days" by our own Eugene Novikov, the film's main problem is that it 'madly equivocates' on whether Tolstoy, portrayed by Plummer is, essentially, "a crackpot."

The Toronto and Other Fall Festivals Rights RoundUp list looks quite sizeable for what is claimed to have been a quiet festival season. Though it's true business down, the large number of acquisitions has not been viewed as such and yet is the result of a new trend which has been sneaking up over the past few years and has now taken hold. Distributors and sales agents now acquire Before the festivals rather than during. It developed out of Cannes' prescreenings which have mostly been discontinued, and it could go so far as to change the pre-Sundance adage Not to show the film to anyone before Sundance.
This Rights RoundUp for acquisitions executives, distributors, international sales agents, investors and producers is different from my previous Rr Reports. It is no longer a report based on data and FilmFinders is out of the equation. This listing of rights acquired Before the actual festival,...

Hank Azaria is in negotiations to direct the layoff comedy Outsourced for Columbia Pictures.
The funnyman who voices the characters of Moe Szyslak, Apu and Chief Wiggum on Fox's long-running series The Simpsons is set to make his feature directorial debut on the project. He helmed the 2004 short Nobody's Perfect, an ensemble comedy featuring Ellen Pompeo, Maria Bello, Sarah Silverman and himself.
Outsourced is set in motion after an American factory is shut down and transported to Mexico. Two men from the production line venture south of the border to get their jobs back.
Columbia bought the pitch in 2004 from scribe Timothy Dowling as a starring vehicle for Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson (HR 8/31/04). Currently, no cast is attached.
Eric Gold is producing, while Sony's Jonathan Kadin and Doug Belgrad are overseeing for the studio.
Azaria, who is coming off his Tony-nominated Broadway-run of Spamalot and the Emmy-winning television show Huff, will lend his voice to Fox's upcoming summer tentpole The Simpsons Movie. His recent acting credits include Along Came Polly and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.
Azaria is repped by Endeavor, Sanders Armstrong Management and attorney David Weber.
