Since Deadpool & Wolverine is hitting theaters this week, we figured we would go ahead and list the ten highest-grossing super hero movies ever made, at least so far. We constructed the list using original domestic box office totals and those that have been adjusted for inflation (according to data and synopses procured from Box Office Mojo and The Numbers). So, take a look at what landed on this list and share your thoughts in the comment section below.
10. Captain Marvel (2019) Original Domestic Gross: $426.8 Million
Adjusted Domestic Gross: $502.3 Million
Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Given how much money the Marvel Cinematic Universe made in its overwhelmingly successful first 15 years, it's astonishing to think how (relatively) little some of its stars were paid. Many felt that Robert Downey, Jr., who played Tony Stark/Iron Man in multiple MCU movies, was indispensable, seeing as his flippant humor and stern heroism were vital to making the series work. His "Iron Man" salary was a mere $500,000, but that number went up exponentially as the "Avengers" sequels rolled in, usually raking it billions. As such, Downey was paid hand-over-fist for his work, sometimes earning as much as $80 million for a single feature. He also received a cut of the profits on certain "Avengers" sequels.
Several of Downey's co-stars, however, earned considerably less. Scarlett Johansson, who played the black-clad spy Black Widow, received a mere $1 million for "Avengers: Age of Ultron." A hefty salary to be sure, but a sight less than Downey's $10 million,...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has had many iconic moments that have shaped the franchise into what it is today. The first three phases did an exceptional job of building intriguing character arcs and interconnecting each story to a climactic event in the form of the last two Avengers films.

The franchise has seen a significant drop in quality since Phase 4 and the underwhelming developments in recent years have not done justice to the brilliance of the first 3 phases. One of the frustrating ones is how they have reduced the Hulk into a sideshow compared to the incredible rage and brutality he showed in the first Avengers.

The superhero genre has experienced a notable surge in the past decade, propelled by franchises like the MCU and similar productions. However, despite its success and acclaim, the genre has faced scrutiny from several Hollywood figures, including the acclaimed filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola.

Fans can say Florence Pugh was born to play Black Widow’s Yelena Belova, but she wasn’t the first actress in mind when Marvel Studios planned to bring the character to the big screen. In fact, one of her previous co-stars was the studio’s first choice.

Scarlett Johansson was accused of “whitewashing” ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
In 2015, fresh off her success in “Lucy” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Scarlett Johansson was cast in a live-action adaptation of “Ghost in the Shell.” The Japanese franchise was based on Masamune Shirow’s manga series that follows the cyberpunk movement, which delves deep into the philosophical boundary between man and machine.
When Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks acquired the rights to the series, the project was poised to be a major success. However, Scarlett Johansson’s acceptance of the role of Major Motoko, a cyborg soldier with a human brain and a cybernetic body who is, by all descriptions, an Asian character, created a PR crisis.
The casting decision led to a public uproar, with many fans asserting that an Asian actress should play the lead role in “Ghost in the Shell.” Their contention was based on the plot of a...

Paul Bettany is an icon when it comes to the world of Hollywood. While he is best known for his work as Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the number of masterpieces he has been a part of is exceptional. Daniel Craig left some rather large shoes to fill after he exited as James Bond with his final Bond film “No Time to Die” in 2021. Three years on and we are seemingly no closer to finding out who the new 007 is than we were right after that movie. But… the debate around who we think should be the next Bond rages on, with every film fan having their own thoughts on who would be best suited for the role.
Craig himself was a stark departure from the ultra-suave Pierce Brosnan before him, with Craig bringing more grit, brutality, and gruff vulnerability to the role. Will producer Barbara Broccoli go for the same type as Craig, will they revert back to the smoothness of a Brosnan-type, or will they go for something different entirely? Well, here’s an extensive list of 30 actors who could theoretically take up the mantle of 007 next.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has brought to live-action many fan-favorite superheroes, yet a few have made such an impact that no other superhero has managed to achieve. Chris Evans’ Captain America is one such character that continues to entice fans. While Evans’ run in the superhero franchise might have ended, theories about his time in the universe continue to be created.

Peyton Reed's 2018 film "Ant-Man and the Wasp" was released in the wake of "Avengers: Infinity War," one of the major team-up movies that occasionally punctuates the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "Wasp" served, some have said, as a palate cleanser after the major, widely-seen event film, trying to keep the McU's mood light. This ethos was also employed with Reed's original "Ant-Man" from 2015, which followed "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
"Wasp" took place concurrently with the events of "Infinity War" and was a brisk, comedic heist movie featuring a very human villain played by Walton Goggins. Ant-Man, aka Scott Lang, (Paul Rudd) was under house arrest, which explains why he wasn't present for the big Thanos fight in "Infinity War." The Wasp, aka Hope van Dyne (née Pym), (Evangeline Lilly) and her father Hank (Michael Douglas) have, meanwhile, built a massive, high-tech shrinking tunnel which will serve as an entrance to the Quantum Realm,...

With the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe at our dispense, the audience barely has to wait before the studio juggernaut spawns a project leading on to the next Phase or the next big event. With 2025 fast approaching, the big event is set to be Avengers 5 – which, due to the faults of the parties involved, is now about to happen with or without Jonathan Majors’s Kang the Conqueror.

While that premise is no longer valid or feasible, the studio has turned to other IPs within its existing catalog – and we may finally know who it is.

One fan-favorite scene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is from Avengers: Age of Ultron where the Avengers take turns trying to lift Thor’s Mjolnir, unable to accept the fact that you actually need to be “worthy” in order to do so. While Steve Rogers came the closest, no one was actually able to wield the hammer. In the comic books, though, many characters have been able to use the weapon, including Superman.
A still from Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) | Marvel Studios
Since Superman is “worthy” enough to lift Thor’s Mjolnir, it makes us wonder what a fight between Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel and the six O.G. Avengers could look like. Now, this is a long-standing debate amongst fans of DC and Marvel, but when you add Superman’s Mjolnir-lifting ability into the equation, the discussion just gets a lot more interesting.

The 2024 box office is in the pits, clearly, and Sony just bought the Alamo Drafthouse in a disturbing, do-anything-to-survive sign of the times. But is there hope on the horizon, with Marvel’s “Deadpool & Wolverine” already expected to save the 2024 box office?
Well, the early word is massive and good. According to Deadline, The Quorum film tracker, which actually monitors pics six weeks ahead, is reporting a projection of $200M-$239M, which, according to the trade, “the service actually believes is conservative.”
These would be monster figures if correct, and anything over $207 million would be the fourth highest Marvel opening of all time, besting 2012’s “The Avengers” and 2015’s ‘Age Of Ultron.’ Those figures, if correct, would make “Deadpool & Wolverine” the highest R-rated domestic box office opening of all time, surpassing the figure held by the original “Deadpool” in 2016 with $132 million (“Deadpool 2” has the number two spot...

Elizabeth Olsen's time as Wanda Maximoff has involved being a villain, Avenger, evil sorcerer, and loving mother. It's safe to say the Scarlet Witch is one of the more complicated characters in the MCU.
Debuting in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, Olsen has been a staple of the MCU as Wanda. The character has now appeared in six different projects, including Disney+ series WandaVision.
When cracks of evil began to take off Wanda during the 2021 series, many fans were still surprised by her antagonistic role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

It’s not uncommon for actors to not consume the art they’re a part of, and similar was the case for Paul Bettany, especially during his initial years with Marvel. The actor, who gained recognition in the 2000s following the success of films, including A Knight’s Tale and A Beautiful Mind, has become notable for playing Vision in the MCU.
However, prior to playing Vision in Avengers: The Age of Ultron, Bettany was completely unaware of the larger MCU, despite voicing Tony Stark’s J.A.R.V.I.S.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was the first MCU project to introduce the idea that anyone can now be turned into a Hulk, and we've since learned that will be a key plot point in the long-rumoured World War Hulk (or World War Hulks) movie.
It's highly unlikely that we'll get a faithful adaptation of the five-part event series, and it's likely "World War Hulk" will instead refer to a battle between Earth's many Hulks. However, we may still see Burce break bad or even get a cosmic element to the story which ties into Marvel Studios' wider plans.
In the comics, the Green Goliath is sent into space by The Illuminati and later returns to take revenge after the ship they constructed blew up and killed his wife and unborn child. No matter how much of that Marvel Studios adapts, there are some specific moments we want to see brought to the big screen.

Visual effects company Rearden has settled one of the last remaining lawsuits over the unlicensed use of its motion-capture technology by major Hollywood studios, this time with Paramount.
Both sides on Monday moved to dismiss the lawsuit, which accused Paramount of infringing on Rearden’s VFX software called Mova Contour in the 2015 film Terminator Genisys, according to a court filing. With the move, Rearden draws to a close a legal blitz on studios that it started in 2017 when it filed blockbuster complaints demanding courts block the release of several films from Disney, Fox and Paramount that featured characters made with the stolen tech.
The agreement follows Rearden last month reaching deals to resolve identical lawsuits involving use of Mova in Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Deadpool, Fantastic Four and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. Terms of the settlements weren’t disclosed.

A combination of Jonathan Majors' firing and the tepid response to Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has led to Marvel Studios changing its plans for Kang the Conqueror.
While the time-travelling villain and his many Variants are still expected to factor into the Multiverse Saga, it's thought he'll be replaced or at least joined by one or more threats to the Multiverse. The question is, who will that be when Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars roll around?
In this feature, we're taking a look at the most intriguing possibilities. From those who can stand alongside Kang to the baddies who might just usurp him as the Multiverse's greatest threat, we think you'll have fun seeing who we've singled out.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was released in 2021 to mostly positive reviews, and while the Flag Smashers were a forgettable addition to the MCU, we were left with plenty of other big talking points.
Sam Wilson became Captain America, Bucky finally moved on from his past, U.S. Agent made his presence felt, and Sharon Carter was established as a deadly new villain.
Mackie first played The Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He later returned in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, so how did he feel about returning to television?
"Television is really hard. My first episode of television was Law & Order," Mackie told actor Tyler James Williams about the challenges of his transition in an interview with Variety. "It was the hardest seven days of my career. TV is real, TV is a different beast,...

Exclusive: As Deadpool & Wolverine tracks huge ahead of its July 26 release and looms as a summer box office savior, we can reveal that director Shawn Levy is the top choice and is having early conversations to direct another Marvel Studios pic — the next Avengers movie.
Deadline hears that Levy has been given the latest script by Michael Waldron, though sources add that he has not given an answer on whether he will take the job, and the studio is still planning to meet with other directors while they wait on a decision from him.
Marvel Studios could not be reached for comment.
We can’t say for sure that Levy will take the job; he expects to be heavily involved as a director and executive producer of the final season of Netflix’s signature series Stranger Things, and there is also a Star Wars film in his future. Still,...

After sustaining near-fatal injuries at the hand of his 14,000-pound snowplow last year, Jeremy Runner was airlifted from the scene and spent two weeks in extensive care. While the recovery process was slow and drawn out following the extent of his injuries, fortunately, the actor is well and kicking again and has marked his return to the silver screen with Mayor of Kingstown season 3.
However, the long road to recovery could’ve been avoided had the Avengers: Age of Ultron star been on snow instead of asphalt and ice on that fateful day.

Robert Downey Jr. led the Avengers in the Infinity Saga as Tony Stark/ Iron Man for a decade. Following his introduction in Iron Man, he slowly assembled the original six Avengers with the help of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury. Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Iron Man would assemble for the first time in 2012’s The Avengers.

Daniel Brühl made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as a reimagined take on Baron Zemo in Captain America: Civil War, before returning for the Disney+ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series.
Already a somewhat sympathetic villain given everything he went through in Sokovia during the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Zemo put his differences with Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson aside in Tfatws to help them put a stop to the Flag Smashers - though he always had his own schemes in play.
Last we saw of him, he had agreed to return to The Raft to finish out his sentence for killing King T'Chaka in an attempt to frame Barnes for a terrorist attack.
When a Thunderbolts (since retitled Thunderbolts*) movie was announced, it was assumed that Zemo would be involved since he is so closely associated with the supervillain strike team in the comics. Marvel Studios went in a different direction,...

The House of M is a storyline that a slew of fans want to see play out in the MCU. Ever since Avengers: Age of Ultron introduced Wanda Maximoff into the MCU, fans have been speculating how Marvel Studios intended to do the storyline without any mutants being around.
Now Mutants are headed into the MCU, and Wanda Maximoff, for all reasons and purposes, has been pronounced dead. How, then, will the Marvel Studios work in the House of M storyline into the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

You probably know that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) was the big bad of 2012's "The Avengers" and his role there is why he's still the defining villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not even Thanos can say he got his own TV series like Loki did! It's not just the God of Mischief being in the right place at the right time, though.
"Avengers" writer/director Joss Whedon overhauled Loki, turning the meek sad boy from 2011's "Thor" into a wickedly charismatic megalomaniac. Hiddleston took that change and ran with it, proving he can wield an evil grin as effectively as he can puppy dog eyes along the way. Every subsequent Loki appearance has been trying to meld the two characterizations; Loki's an evil bastard, but he does love his mum and big brother Thor (even if he loves himself a bit more).
Loki (really Hiddleston) holds the screen all on his own in "The Avengers.

Filmmaker Joss Whedon has worked on several iconic films and television shows that have become an inseparable part of modern pop culture. However, he is also responsible for the lowest-rated Avengers film, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Whedon worked on the theatrical cut of Zack Snyder’s Justice League after the latter departed the project.

The transition from good to evil has fascinated writers for centuries. Forcing characters to dance on the line of morality has always intrigued audiences more than two-dimensional characters with simple moral compasses. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is well-known for administering such dilemmas to their viewers through the characters they make.
A still from The Avengers | Marvel Studios
Be it Kilmonger in Black Panther, Thanos’ noble motivations to wipe out half the universe, or the execution of the Punisher’s justice, it is difficult for fans to condemn some villains when their motivations are so complex. Despite this, there are a few characters that have stayed consistent over the years, even though the law would disagree.
Five of the main six Avengers have managed to always have a strong moral compass, ever since the 2011 film, and these traits have stayed consistent. However, it would seem that their actors have played parts that juxtapose their iconic roles.

X-Men ’97 was able to achieve one more thing that live-action Marvel failed to do, First, of course, was making Cyclops as a character cool again. Second, was the fact that the animated offering from Marvel Studios’ new wing, Marvel Animation, was able to do Avengers: Age of Ultron right.

According to YouTuber DoomBlazer, who has been a credible voice for the community, the plots of the first season of X-Men ’97 and Avengers: Age of Ultron are not that different from each other. Both properties deal with the issue of artificial intelligence one way or the other, but that is not where the similarities of the stories end.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movie series is expanding with another installment after the grand success of the third movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, it was the ultimate treat for Marvel fans. Now, the upcoming Spider-Man movie, as speculation dictates, is going to be more grounded with a bit of multiversal touch.
Tom Holland stars as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Columbia Pictures’ Spider-man: No Way Home.
If not multiversal, Spider-Man might go to its classic root, to its classic villains— Norman and Harry Osborn. New speculation recently suggested that fans could see Dune star Timothée Chalamet making his Spider-Man debut playing a villainous Harry Osborn and in this case, Kevin Feige might hire one MCU star again, this time for the role of Norman Osborn.

Superheroes have been a popular part of the film genre and an essential part of the entertainment culture for a long time. However, if you look at it, there is not one aspect that makes this particular genre of film so popular. In addition to being entertaining to watch, MCU films also add a layer of complexity to the intricate storyline with its ever-growing franchise.

Saturday Am: This weekend at the Memorial Day box office, the film industry seems to be questioning its existence, ready to jump out of a window. How can a genius, George Miller-directed tentpole prequel to the multi-Oscar winning Mad Max: Fury Road with great reviews and 4 1/2 stars PostTrak exits not be working?
The entire theatrical business is destined for streaming, oh, no! People will forever stay on their couches!
As Cher said to Nicolas Cage in Moonstruck as she smacked him in the face: “Snap out of it!” It’s not really right to make Furiosa, or Garfield, for that matter, the proxies of the Memorial Day box office.
Furiosa is still on track for $31M-$33M. For clarity purposes: The last time a film grossed in this vicinity was the 1980s with Return of the Jedi and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. However, we stand corrected: It’s the lowest No.

Fox’s X-Men movies have been integral to bringing the mutants to live-action, laying the groundwork for the live-action debut of several other Marvel characters. While the movies showed that tales of mutants are well-liked by the audience, they are at the same time among the most criticized Marvel movies. From their inconsistent quality to lack of character representation, there are several things fans found an issue with.

This article contains full spoilers for Atlas.
After surviving an attack orchestrated by the rogue synthetic Harlan (Simu Liu), cyber analyst Atlas (Jennifer Lopez) lands in her mech-suit on a mysterious new planet. And it is there that she notices a strange flower, which the artificial intelligence Smith (voiced by Gregory James Cohan) informs her has never been seen before. When Smith asks what she wants to call the flower, Atlas responds with an uncreative name: “Planty.”
Although Atlas insists that she’s making a joke, Smith accepts the name, and Planty returns at the end of the film as a symbol of the bond formed between human and robot. At the same time, this dull bit of nomenclature illustrates the way AI destroys creativity. Which seems an apt metaphor for the movie it’s in. Chris Hemsworth is the latest actor to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His Marvel co-star Robert Downey Jr. was present at this special occasion. While the other Og Avengers stars couldn’t make it to the ceremony, they sent their best wishes via Downey Jr. Knowing their bond, it wouldn’t be a surprise that the stars chose to roast Hemsworth on his special day.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is not only stealing hearts, but he seems to be stealing quite a few perfect roles from major franchises too. Besides having his recent film The Fall Guy released in the theatres (he stars as Tom Ryder in it), he has another Marvel movie lined up, which, unfortunately, recently faced yet another postponed release date: Kraven the Hunter.

Although it is not new for the franchise to shift the release dates further down the road, this news still has fans springing up with conspiracy theories. That being said, one theory states that this further delay is presumably because of Taylor-Johnson’s casting as the new James Bond. And, as much as it would sound appealing to his fans, this theory might as well piss off Henry Cavill fans.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe was once a blockbuster behemoth, churning out hit comic book movies with superheroes and villains who popped in and out of multiple franchises, occasionally culminating in the massive spectacle of "Avengers" movies. It all came to a magnificent head with the double dose of "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame," completing the masterful storyline dubbed The Infinity Saga and shattering the box office. Sadly, recent years have seen the MCU take a dive in quality as the quantity of their output in film and television has increased (something the comic book movie makers will be changing soon). But thankfully, Lego has a way for us to cherish the glory days of the MCU.

For creator, writer, director and co-showrunner Boots Riley, the idea for his Amazon Prime Video series “I’m a Virgo” came from “just wanting to talk about the differences between perception of people and how they perceive themselves.” Specifically, “if you saw a 13-foot-tall Black man walking down the street, the last thing most people would think about is what he thinks about himself, so I wanted to talk about that” and explore “people connecting to each other on a personal one-to-one level, but also on a societal level.”

The ideals inculcated during upbringing shape the course of one’s future, and that stands true for mutants as well. Despite being at the receiving end of vitriolic hate, prejudice, and violence from humans in the worst ways imaginable, the X-Men, the mutant team of heroes mentored by Professor X, chooses to show compassion and kindness even to their worst enemies as the titular team battles for survival against an extinction-level crisis. Especially judging from the harrowing spectacle and bold narrative decisions showcased in the past few episodes, the first season finale of X-Men ’97 comes off as a rather unprecedented and risk-free conclusion to an epic arc, which might result in a divisive reception among fans.

Dune: Part Two has been available to purchase on Digital services for almost a month now, but Warner Bros. has finally announced a streaming date for Denis Villeneuve's critically-acclaimed sci-fi sequel.
Fans will get to return to Arrakis from the comfort of their couches very soon, as Dune: Part Two is set to premiere on Max next Tuesday, May 21.
Although the movie didn't reach $1 billion as some predicted (always a long shot in the current box office climate), it did pass $700 million worldwide, meaning a third film based on Frank Herbert's second novel, Dune: Messiah, is likely.
Part Three hasn't been officially greenllt, but is believed to be in the early stages of development - though there's no guarantee that Villeneuve will to return to complete the trilogy.
“If we go back, it needs to be real, it needs to be relevant," the filmmaker told Empire in a recent interview.

Two years have passed since the release of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ yet it’s only recently come to light that it stands among the most expensive films ever made, both within the MCU and in the broader cinematic landscape. According to Forbes, Disney has revealed that the budget for the 2022 superhero flick reached an astonishing $414.9 million, surpassing even the hefty budget of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’
However, ‘Age of Ultron’ outperformed ‘Multiverse of Madness’ in box office profits, despite its lower production cost. Benedict Cumberbatch returns as the sorcerer in the sequel to 2016’s ‘Doctor Strange,’ alongside Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch. Nevertheless, despite its monumental production expenses, the film still yielded significant earnings.
‘Avengers: Endgame’ reigns supreme with earnings of $2,799,439,100, followed by ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ with $2,052,415,039. Released in 2022, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ earned $955,775,804, while its predecessor ‘Doctor Strange’ (2016) garnered $677,796,833. Forbes estimates that...

It’s been 2 years since ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ was released, but we’re only now learning that it was one of the most expensive movies ever made, in the MCU and in general.
Disney has disclosed that the budget for the 2022 superhero film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reached a remarkable $414.9 million as reported by Forbes, surpassing even the hefty budget of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’
Despite this, ‘Age of Ultron’ generated significantly more profit at the box office compared to ‘Multiverse of Madness,’ despite having a lower production cost. The film, a sequel to 2016’s ‘Doctor Strange,’ features Benedict Cumberbatch reprising his role as the sorcerer, alongside Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch.
Still, despite the gargantuan production costs, the movie still managed to earn quite a bit.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness certainly was a spectacular movie in terms of the amount of CGI it had to use. It turns out that the sequel also cost a lot of money, surpassing the budget of a far superior MCU film.
Forbes reports that Disney finally declared the production cost of Benedict Cumberbatch’s adventure in the Multiverse, which was $414.9 million. Forbes thinks this surpassed Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s budget, but I don’t think that’s right.
In a 2018 article, the publication stated that Avengers 2 cost $495.2 million. Even adjusting for inflation, the Ultron movie would still cost more. Why is the film’s budget now scaled back to $388.3m?
Forbes does not link to the previous story or the financial snapshot it provided in 2018, but I will:
Here’s the new cost chart Forbes uses in the latest article:
Regardless, Doctor Strange 2 was profitable on paper.

From all the X-Men movies, including the acclaimed "Logan," to animated series like "X-Men '97," Wolverine is one of the biggest fan-favorite Marvel superheroes. With razor-sharp indestructible claws and an accelerated healing factor, James "Logan" Howlett is a killing machine with a conscience, finding his place among the mutant superheroes, the X-Men. Wolverine comes from an especially dark past, however, while his berserker rage and susceptibility to mind control makes him a lethal liability at times. This has led to Wolverine committing several especially heinous acts, some deliberately, across the character's extensive history in comic books, television, and film.
Wolverine may be one of the greatest heroes of the Marvel Universe, but you can bet that his hands are dirty with all the questionable things he's done. Here are the worst things Wolverine has ever done, be it mistakes made in the comics, movies, or beyond, adding to the superhero's conflicted morality and background.

Released in theaters on May 2, 2022, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness marked Sam Raimi's triumphant return to the world of superhero cinema after previously helming Tob Maguire's Spider-Man trilogy.
The film was generally praised by fans and critics alike, on its way to grossing $955.8 million at the global box office.
However, a new report from Forbes raises questions about whether the film was profitable, considering its massive budget.
Previously, it was thought that Disney/Marvel spent $294M to produce the film, however, tax filings that Disney is required to disclose for productions filmed in the U.K. have revealed that Marvel spent £331.9 million or $414.9 million on the Doctor Strange sequel.
Given that box office revenue is split 50/50, Marvel pocketed ~$477.9 million after sharing ticket sales with theater owners, and that doesn't include what Marvel spent on P&a costs.
Recently, Raimi's name has come up as a potential director...
